Go for it, Yoga is one of the best prescriptions a doctor could write a person. Enjoy it!

I'm 5'8" and determined to make a change now. Ten minutes of fitness daily. Too many times I've fallen off the wagon, time to make long lasting positive habits stick. Can I do it?!

There is a yoga class just down the road from me and I have been "meaning" to go. So Monday morning I am going. Thanks for the inspiration.

I certainly think I'll stick with this team and posting and supporting others on this journey. It's been one of the most active teams I've joined so far. Tonight is Yoga class, I think I need to go. Keeping in mind my long term goals, fitness isn't something we need to work into our day, it is simply part of our day.

Changing my thinking. It's not, "I have to plan to go to yoga." it needs to be, "at 7:10 I leave for my yoga class on Wednesdays" Just like I leave for work in the morning. You don't plan for that, it just is. Same with fitness. Mindset change.

Cindy,

All I can tell you is that when you get up in the AM, get yourself dressed to workout, but make sure you eat a good breakfast first. Then just set your mind to it and do it! Come back and post each day what you've done. Even if you just added one simple thing to your workout, or whether you went HOG WILD and have a HUGE praise report to give us. It doesn't matter, as long as you log in and hold yourself accountable, which you've already begun, by logging on this evening. You've got this young lady! The nitty-gritty of the entire thing is this: If you WORK the PLAN the PLAN will WORK!!!

Blessings!

JEN,

Stay with us, please! There's no reason for you to go, ad I for one love the messaging that we do back and forth. Just because you've finished this challenge, doesn't mean that you're not able to continue on with it, like so many of us have. Now, that you've been through it, you have bragging rights, and you're able to help those that are just starting out, but giving them a HAND UP and being their cheerleader, just as we have for you. Please stay!

Blessings!

You don't have to stop after 4 weeks. There are a few of us (quite a few) who have stuck around to help others. I have been doing it since 0ctober 2012 and some a lot longer.

Just getting 10 minutes in was only the start as I do a good few hours some of the time.

You might like to try out the 10k a day steps as that helps to keep you moving and helps towards the 10 minutes a day work out

I am amazed that I actually managed to keep up with this for 4 straight weeks. Every week it got easier to make sure that no matter what the day, I was able to get in 10 minutes of some sort of fitness. I've become more regular in making sure I'm paying attention to weight lifting as well as cardio. There's a lot of toning to do and watching TV you can get in a lot of dumbbell work.

As for the long term, I plan to keep exercise part of my day, not something I have to schedule into a day. I want it to just be, not something find time for or make time for, it just is. My yoga classes, they shouldn't be a question of if I go, but the fact that these are my yoga classes and I go.
