My goal for this challenge is:
1) lose 10 pounds
2) start working strenght training in to my workouts
3) be consistent with my work outs,

I am doing this because I want the extra kick to get my past that 21 days that it takes to create a habit, and I know it will make me be more accountable, becuase I am always up to challenges :)

My specific goals for this challenge is to keep up with the videos (I already get 5-6 days of cardio most weeks) and earn the trophy. emoticon

I want to get back to a healthy way of eating because it is when I feel my best.

I want to show my husband and my mother that by eating right and exercise you can acheive weight loss and have more energy if you "feed" your body.

I want to show my children the same to get them in a better frame of mind so it isn't as difficult for them as it is for us once they get older.

I want to be fit and feel good about the body that I have.

I want to appreciate the fact that my body and my health ALLOW me to be active and NOT take it for granted.

My goal is to first and foremost be healthy. With saying that, I want to lose weight... I have a long term goal of 80 pounds, broken up in to 4 dates with 20 pounds lost by each. My first date is 7/11 (which is my 30th birthday).
The same day I joined this challenge, I started my new eating/exercise and I am down 3.7 pounds :) If anyone else is looking for eating options, this is what I'm doing (which also happens to fall right in to my range of calories etc... that they set for me on SP):

Breakfast:
2 grains/starchy
1 dairy
1 protein
1 fruit
1 fat

AM Snack:
1 dairy
1 fruit

Lunch:
1 grain/starchy
1 protein
2 veggies
1 fat

PM Snack:
1 dairy

Dinner:
1 grain/starchy
1 protein
2 veggies
1 fat

My first goal is to minimize those days where I don't seem to care much about what I eat at first until I eat it and then I feel guilty which kind of makes the rest of the day and maybe the following days a real struggle for me to stay in control as well.

My second goal is to lose at least four pounds.

Hi!

I haven't really done this before but I'm willing to try something new. Here are my goals:

1. get my eating back under control. No more crazy calorie days (weekends, I'm looking at you!). I track weekdays without fail but the weekends have been getting me lately.

2. get at least 10 mins of exercise per day. Hopefully this will help me keep on track and hopefully help me with goof ups on goal 1.

3. get more coordination. I've done a few of the SparkPeople videos and sadly I can't keep up with a some of them - I'm just not very coordinated. If we should ever meet on the dance floor, fear for your toes. I'm hoping doing some of the videos will help me improve in this area.

4. lose some weight. I really want to get down to my goal weight of 145. I don't think I can do this in 28 days but I'll try my best get some serious traction.

That the list. =)

Good luck everyone! I hope to see everyone on day 28!

My goal is to get consistent..... so here I go tomorrow and each day after. The 28 day challenge is just the beginning. One big step to many more 28 day challenges!

1st goal..... go to sleep early, that way I can be up before the kids and out and amount for a morning walk!

Goodluck :)

I joined to motivate myself and at least make an effort to lose 2-3 lbs. I know better than to try to set goals too high. I will give it my best!

I joined this challenge because I want to develop a consistent exercise routine, get active and fit, and I need some inspiration.

My goals:

1) Be able to consistently do 30 minutes of cardio at least 5 days a week.

2) Get stronger. I'm not sure how to determine my "baseline" strength but I think this is something I'll achieve if I stick with this program.

3) Feel the sense of accomplishment completing this program will give me.

I can't wait to get started! I'm looking forward to beginning the program tomorrow morning.

To paraphrase Aristotle: Success is not a single act but a habit. Make a habit of being successful!

I am here because i need more structure and a consistency. I want to able to sit comfortably all day in my size 12 jeans by the end of these 28 days (i don't care what the number on the scale says).

I also can do 0 push-ups (i can do the modified ones but not the "real" ones). I would love to be able to do 5 by the beginning of July.

**edit: and after doing the day one video, this is apparently just what i needed. By the end of this 28 days, i would like that 10 minute workout to be much easier for me!

I joined this team b/c I need more of a planned routine of working out. I have joined other challenge teams and either they don't stay on top of the challenges or they post them late. I am wanted a challenge that lays it out for me so I know what I need to do from day to day. I am a wife, mother and a student. I want to and need to lose weight so hopefully this will get me there.

I'm joining this challenge to get new ideas and try a different workout plan! My year goal is to be at my goal weight before my birthday. My short term goal is to lose 5 pounds this month and then keep them off through July. I'm going to track my calories in (tracking) every day this month and calories out (with my gowearfit) with a goal of burning 2300 calories at least per day.

Today I will track my food and exercise. This I will do for myself.

I'm tired of feeling blah and fat. I've 3 kids, and no energy. I'm hoping this will help me get into a routine of fitness, so it eventually becomes second nature. (I hear that's possible, though right now I can't imagine it!! LOL)

I have been starting to exercise more regularly and was in need of some kind of routine to get started. I am more likely to stick with things when I have a schedule to follow. My goal for this challenge is that by the end, daily exercise will be a habit for me so I will be able to stick with it in the future. I am really looking forward to this challenge.

I've decided to start this bootcamp because I need to be accountable to some force so that I'll force myself to stick to my program...I'm using Jillian Michaels, exercise tv and the eliptical as well as 3 mile walks with my year-old puppy for my cardio and I'm going to use exercise tv and spark for some 10 minute weight videos...

my goals are to keep up the healthy lifestyle I'm creating for myself =)

I joined this challgenge because I have been inconsistent in my exercise. While focusing on training to run a 5K, I stopped strength training and only did cardio (running) 3 days a week. I want this Bootcamp to jump-start my fitness! My goals are:

1. 3 days of running and 2 days of other cardio per week (30-45 minutes daily)
2. Strength training 5 days/week in 10 minute increments.
3. Track my food daily

1). I would like to be able to get in the 5 days of cardio at 30-40 minutes each. I have some walking DVD's that I just love and I want to utilize them. I NEED THIS GOAL!

2). Get in that much needed water! I want to give up on Diet Soda for good. It has been a hard one to let go of but I have just to!

3). Stay active and log in with SP everyday. Also track everything; Fitness, Food and Blogging.

I want to start the week (month) strong and not let my busy schedule get the best of me.

I want to be able to do cardio every day this week, even if I'm walking my dog for an hour.

I want to be able to follow the SP diet even though I know I'll have meetings throughout the week.

I've been dancing around 205-209lbs for the last couples weeks. Its time to change that and try to make it under 9 lbs by the end of June.

I also need to get back into a routine, having a team really helps. I was so glad to see a bootcamp team starting.

My goals for June:
*For cardio, I will work on walking, whatever the bootcamp challenge has for me, 30 Day Shred, jumping jacks.
*For ST, I will work on everything! Do a minimum of 10-minute ST each day, wallies, squats with weights, anything from my official SP challenge teams, quick-fire daily. Mix it up!

Before I saw this challenge, I had already told myself that every day this month I was going to do 20 minutes of exercise - and some strengh training 2-3 times a week on top of that. I'd like to lose 13lbs before the end of July, so I'm hoping that these goals will help me achieve (or surpass!) the weight goal I'm aiming for.
