Hi everyone! My goal for this challenge is to get myself back into the habit of healthy living. I ran my first 5K race on Saturday and I'll be running a 1/2 marathon on Sept. 5. I look forward to the changes the next month brings!

(I'm just getting back into SparkPeople again so I'm sure my spark page and all my info is WAY outdated.)

My reason for joining this challenge is to change up my established routine that I am getting bored with. I exercise consistently already, but needed some new structure. My goal is to complete the strength videos at least twice and do cardio 6-7 days a week.

My goal for the 28 day challenge is to follow my preset (blog) 7day plan (4wks in a row).
1) Fruits and veggies for snacks.
2) No more chips, pretzels, 100calorie packs, popcorn, etc for snacking allowed. They increase my cravings for more junk. Bread ONLY in the form of whole grain or whole wheat.
3)Maintain water intake of 96oz
4)Stay within my calorie range
5) Increase activity and workouts on a consistant basis, WITHOUT getting burned out.

I plan to lose weight and become more fit. Also, I am training for a 60 mile walk, which I will do over the course of 3 days in an effort to raise money for breast cancer awareness. All great reasons.

I've lost 15 pounds since October from using SparkPeople as my main motivator. Most of that weight was lost between October and January, though, and I've been on a plateau since then. I'm six pounds away from my goal weight (although I'd ideally like to lose even more than that) and I'm just not getting anywhere. I want to do a Boot Camp video every day, do at least 10 minutes of cardio every day, and I really need to start tracking my calories at least once a week. I generally eat really well for breakfast and lunch and then start munching way too much before and after dinner.
My biggest short-term goal right now is to get down to 135 pounds (from 141) so I can buy a new bikini from Victoria's Secret. I know that this team won't do anything for me unless I commit, so here I go!

I joined this challenge because, even tho' I run 3 times a week, I don't feel I'm getting the exercise I need to be as fit and healthy as I want to be and I NEED a schedule/list/direction to keep me going.

hey everyone. i'm training for a race with my friends in july, but i've been having trouble with my knees. my doctor says it's not a big deal but that she'd like to see me start a better strength/stretching cross-training regimen to complement my running. most of my cardio exercises will be running but i'm going to switch one of them a week out for yoga for the flexibility. (yes, i know yoga isn't a cardio exercise, but it'll be good for me)

hopefully these 10 minute videos and once-a-week yoga will be a good start for me to build up better cross-training habits. i'm a chronic on-again, off-again spark user, and i'd really like to use this bootcamp to build some healthy habits that last for more than 2 weeks. if anyone's just starting out there and wants to help keep me accountable, i'd really appreciate it (and willing to return the favor). just send me a message!

By committing to a challenge, I will do it. It will keep me consistant.
I hope to see a change in the scales/inches at the end of the challenge.
It will keep me in check of my foods and water as well.
And like others get past this plateau.
Best to everyone.

My goal is to create a consistent strength program! I get 60 minutes minimum cardio 6 days, but strength always suffers! This will keep me accountable to both and hopefully jumpstart those pesky last few pounds that are hanging on for dear life! emoticon

I am hoping to learn more exercises to safely augment the stuff I am doing with my personal trainer. I would like to have a couple of really intense workouts to draw from when classes don't allow me to get to the gym.

I also joined this challenge to get my exercise back on track. I was doing really well, but the past few weeks I just keep making excuses as to why I can't or don't have time to exercise. So my goals for this challenge are to be more consistent and accountable about my exercise and to do more strength training.

I joined because I want to increase the amount & variety of exercise I do. I currently walk my dogs, and I've felt good enough to start running in short bursts with them. I'd like to increase my fitness level and endurance so I can really run with them. I'm hoping this challenge will help motivate me to do that!

I joined to get myself out of the rut and plateau. I need the structure of workouts planned in advance. As I posted in the introduction to the team thread, I noted that I can't seem to get rid of the last 10 pounds. I don't want to feel insecure in a bathing suit.

So, my goals:
1. Lose 10 pounds
2. Wear a bikini on the beach on 4th of July
3. Confidence and stop self negative talk
