I have three reasons to join this challenge:

I want to develop exercise consistency. I need a routine! I need the exercise habit!

I want to be in better condition for my walking vacation this summer. I am so out of shape any little bit will help.

I want to add some strength training --- I find it easiest to stick with cardio because that is a routine I can fall back into. I need strength and flexibility routines, too.

Hello! I`m here because I tired of gained baby fat. My baby is 13 month already but I still have those 19lbs of fat! I want to change my daily activity by adding more fitness. Hi there! I joined last fall and just looked at my latest post, which was September of 2011. Since then I have gained 18 lbs and 4 inches on my middle! Yikes! My goal for this year is to NOT do this again. Every year I do GREAT in the summer, lose 15 lbs and feel awesome; by the holidays, I lose momentum and start coasting, and then the next spring I always find that I've gained big and feel like crap. Somehow I will find a way to make it through the winter, but my short term goal is to get back into the swing of things!

Hello. I am here because I need accountability and I want to get the most out of my life. I have a medical condition that made it difficult to exercise consistently but just finished my first month of a new medicine that is giving me hope. My doctor says he hopes to have me in remission within 10 months and if that happens my life expectancy increases from 5-10 years to 15-30! I am feeling better than I have in a long time and want to capitalize on that energy. I don't have the support I need from family or friends do am looking for that here. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I always tend to run to food when I have problems, and that makes my weight up and down. Now I'm 20kgs heavier than my weight before. I've tried many methods of diet and tired with the "yo yo" effect. Hopefully this site will help me to get my old body back. Let's try our best!

I joined this challenge as a way to start working out twice a day. I have a good morning schedule and am ready to add in something at night. This plan is perfect and being held accountable for 28 days will help make 2 a day a part of my routine.

I need to ramp up my fitness program because all I do is cycle and walk. I need to do more muscle work and cross training. I did the 22 minutes cardio and I really like it.

Hello Everyone,

I joined this team so I am held accountable for what my fitness progress, its hard for me to get motivated any more to do anything besides come home from a long day at work, do all my house hold chores, cook dinner; then i just want to relax and veg out before I do it all again the next day! Well not anymore!!! I used to be extremely fit & toned in H.S. I played sports my entire life so i never had to just get motivated and do it myself. The past 5 years i just have let myself go so to speak. Its always bothered me, i would work out for a week then stop for months. In the end my goal is to get fit & toned again, keep myself motivated & i think putting all of my progress out there for everyone to see & have support will really help! So now at the heaviest weight I have been and the biggest clothing size, its time to do something for myself in my busy life!!! So YAY! Here it goes! emoticon

The reason I joined this team was to hopefully meet some new people with similar goals, and to be held accountable for exercise. I'm already doing the 30 Day Shred, and a 5K program, but I just feel as though I'm not doing enough. I'm not trying to lose weight super fast or anything; I don't plan on losing any more than 1 pound a week (and maybe not even that since I don't have very much to lose). I am just stuck at home all day and want to be more active.. there's only so much house work I can do to keep myself busy!!

My goal is to really stick to losing weight this time. I have done this before but did not stick to it at all. I have been on my diet for five days and have lost 2 pounds. WOOHOO! I was a member of sparkpeople a couple of years ago but never got on to read articles, recipes or track anything. I set my homepage to sparkpeople and now I can't stay off of here. lol Anyways good luck and look forward to getting to know you through these challenges.

My goal in joining this challenge is to lose inches and gain some muscle strength. Plus I just want to be healthy and make healthy choices every single day. I have a 13 year old and I hope he joins me along my health journey. I hope the food tracker will keep me in step.

Hi all!
My GOAL is to
1- do the 10 min workout from the challenge
2-do a 20 minute cardio workout EVERYDAY of this week ( and ultimately all 28 days)

That means 30 minutes of workout daily!

The only choice is whether I will take the next step or not, beyond that, it is not up to me right now.

My goal is to not only start a weight loss. workout routine but to get at least 15lbs off my bum! I know I look good now but I'm sure being healthy will help in looking better as well as feeling fit. It's a great feeling and I want to constantly have that in my life

I do alot of walking and that's great but I also want to get in more toning to see more results. I want to push myself and challenge myself. In the last two years I've lost 100 lbs and I'm determined to get off the last 50 lbs. I'll be doing this each afternoon when I get home from work and that also helps to keep me busy so I'm not thinking about eating but about what good I'm doing for myself.

My goal in completing this challenge is to see what consistency will actually accomplish! I exercise and eat right, for a few days. Then make horribly unhealthy food/portion choices for a few days... then back to trying to exercise and eat healthy. this 28 day challenge will give me the motivation I need to exercise consistently, I'll just keep telling myself "it's only for 28 days, you can do this whether you feel like it or not!!" :)

My goal is to get back in shape and lose some weight. In the past few years I have put on 25 or so extra pounds and I am ready to start feeling good in my own skin again.

my goal is to jump start my exercise program -- 28 days is long enough to develop a habit, I want exercise to become like breathing to me -- meaning I want to do it without thinking about, just as i brush my teeth each morning -- I want to get at least 30 minutes of exercise in each day, so far I am averaging 165 out of 210 minutes a week, and I am already down 7 lbs since I started this journey last month, so I am motivated to keep it going....

ONE DAY AT A TIME - EVERY MINUTE COUNTS - BABY STEPS = ACCOMPLISHED GOALS - LIVING MY LIFE LIKE ITS GOLDEN....

Goals/Accomplishments: based on a 4-wk month, counted as 28 days.

My name is Lacie I am a mother, I had three kids. I am trying to tone up and be all over more healthy. Weight has never been my issue, it's more of trying to be more balanced with my eating habits and exercise. I have always had an issue with over eating for days and days and then eating nothing at all for days, and exercise is the same I'll be active for days on end and then nothing. So I am hoping this will help me out.

I'm tired of yo-yo'ing, I have been entering races for a few years now and when I train.. I lose weight. I finish the event and stop training only to gain all the weight back. I would love to find balance. Hoping that approaching fitness in a different way, like strength training will help me stop the crazy-ness. I am excited and ready to do this! So happy to be a Sparky. My goal is to start an exercise program and stick with it. Too often I find myself making excuses due to work or social commitments. I'm not necessarily trying to lose weight but start making healthier choices and better my life. For me, that starts with finding motivation to exercise daily.
