My main goal is to get off the roller coaster and off the plateau! Tired of 1 week low, back up the next, nothing the next, down again...ugh! Time to get it off for good and keep it toned up!

I want to have less aches and pains and move around easier. Sure, losing weight and looking better would be awesome!, but I need to build up the muscles around my knees, feet, back, etc., so I'm not a grumbly mess!

I've managed to lose almost 20 pounds since restarting with Spark in January, but mostly through changes in diet and some inconsistent cardio. I just started adding strength training in the last week and am looking for some structure. Hopefully, but the time the challenge is finished regular exercise will be part of my routine.

I want to get healthier overall.

I feel okay about eating (always something to work on) and pretty good about cardio. I really want to incorporate more strength and flexibility training into my workouts.

That being said, exercising regularly is still pretty new, so I'd like to make exercise a habit.

I'm supposed to share my goals here but the only thing I want right now is for someone to perhaps push me in the right direction. I am starting today, so I can once again feel like I am fit and can actually keep up with my son. SO I'm hoping if I have to write each day I might actually stick to the routine and that will lead on to me always having a routine....

My goal is to get passed this plateau I have reached, and drink more water. Exercise 30 minutes a day, and eat right. I have to remind myself that I am an overweight diabetic, and I cannot get away with laziness and overeating. emoticon emoticon emoticon

My goals are to exercise at least 10 minutes every day , follow the workout videos, and meet the 5x a week cardio goal. I am kind of treating this challenge as an experiment. I am interested to see if there is a a change in my measurements, my fitness level, and my energy level after 4 weeks.

Hello there!! My goals are to be healthy. I have tried for so long on my own and it just does not work. I need some support so I am reaching out to all of you to help :) I will be 49 years old in June and I feel it is time I lose this 25 pounds I have gained over the last couple of years. I have tried a few diets but don't stay on them because it gets frustrating so I am going to give this a try :)

Well I have begun again. I am going to finish this challenge no matter how long it takes! I have made it to day 4. I'll be catching up on cardio today tomorrow and Friday. According to my goal weight and goal day, I'll need to drop at least 2lbs a week. I know I can do it, just so many set backs! ugh!!! But I will persevere. I will get through this.

it takes all the guess work out of what I need to be doing. I like the fact that it is short term and with attainable goals. I have set a goal of 2 pounds a week and this is my second week. I want to bend over and tie my shoes, pick something up off the floor, and fit in a booth at the restaurant..

I joined this team b/c of the extra motivation. I really did well with the Jumpstart challenge in January, but then ended up very sick in February. I have been on and off again since then, but still doing my best to workout at least three times a week. I just need a little push in the right direction and having a plan like this laid out for me will help! I like to follow a plan and be told what and when do work out. It helps me stay focused. I've been using the body sculpting DVD and I really like it. I'm looking forward to getting my fitness back on track with at least 5 days a week for my workouts and getting my eating back under control. Anyone else just starting this week? Would love to get in touch with you to keep each other motivated. Thanks!

Patti

I joined this challenge as a kick-start to making exercise part of my daily life. I like that the challenge offers videos so that I do not have to imagine up an exercise routine each day. I also like that they are as short as 10 minutes as I am a beginner and am taking the slow and steady path rather than the lose as quick as I can path that has failed me so many times before.

Going to try starting this challenge over - thought it would be a good motivator to do more but seemed to have the opposite affect, so I'm going to start over and do better this time! I just have a problem with doing a video each day - seem to forget - have no issue doing the cardio or tracking. I can spare at least 10 minutes a day for the videos, so I'm GOING to do it this time!!

My goal is to actually stick with this! I keep meticulously planning and writing up exercise timetables for myself but never EVER see it through for more than a week. My excuse is that life gets in the way - but that's just not true. They say if you do something a certain number of times, it becomes a habit - I want this to be a habit. So fingers crossed I can get my ass in gear this time and follow it through aaaall the way.

I subscribed to this challenge because I have gained a lot of weight this past year. I have been using my knee injury as an excuse for not doing exercise and I hope this challenge can put me in a better place. I am unhappy with my weight gain, but am ready to put an end to it and get healthy. I am hoping this challenge can help motivate me!!!

My goal is to be consistent with my exercise program. I will "do the plan" and follow the directions for each week. I've signed up under the team goals of doing the daily cardio and strength training exercises and the using my food tracker for at least 3x/week. My end goal is to lose weight and feel better about myself.

I did really well last summer with exercise and healthy eating and managed to lose a bit of weight. I lost motivation over the winter due to a new work schedule and the exhaustion of biking to work everyday (I live in Anchorage, Alaska). So I'm looking to get back into weight training and get rid of a few more pounds now that spring is finally here.

Hi-
One year ago I was the type of girl who enjoyed jogging EVERY DAY! But then we went on a 3-week vacation and I found excuses not to run (and to eat fast food 3x/day). After a month, I had an opportunity to go jogging, and I said, "that's just not who I am anymore, I guess." and I stayed home.

My work schedule changed, and exercising became tricky. I would have to get up at 5 and do it. I decided not to. I said "if I can't do my FAVORITE exercise (which is aerobics with friends, jogging with friends, and team sports), then I'm not doing ANY." What was I trying to prove? I was being a victim...of whom?! Why!?

Not only did I gain 10 pounds, I gained ANOTHER 10...now I'm heavier than I've ever been as a adult. Ugh! When the going gets tough, I need to get going. Today's the day.

Hi -
My most immediate goal is to complete this challenge without quitting. Big long-term weight loss is to get to 140, from current weight of 183.
If they want us to come up with goals for this 28-day challenge, mine are just to do all the action steps every week. The hardest one will be the 10-min a day toning!
I better do that one right now lol ~
Nell
Okay, and PS, I'm adding a goal: I intend to lose 8 pounds, to get down to 175 by the end of the 28 days.

My goal is to drop clothing sizes and have achieved one drop and look forward to many drops. I really have enjoyed the videos. Gonna so it as soon as I get done here and each day I can do more and more. I am hoping by the end of our 28 days I can do everyone very easily. Have enjoyed watching my team-mates progress to. Keep up the good work. emoticon

My goal is to get back to where I felt good, strong, and un-shakeable. I remember when I had energy and gusto and grit-back then I felt I could move mountains, now I feel like making dinner after a long day of work and kids is more than I can handle. I used to run 2 miles in 12minutes! I used to not have to worry about my gut popping out the front of my jeans. My house used to be spotless and something I took pride in.
I'm tired of saying "I used to" so I am taking the challenge and going to put in extra effort to be the me I really am!

Nothing matters more than this very day....so live it to the fullest!

I just took the challenge because I am setting small goals for myself to reach my ultimate goal, which is to lose 15 pounds by August 23rd. I am taking it one month at a time, so I figured this challenge was a perfect first "small" goal! What I want to accomplish this month: 1. Become more consistent. 2. Lose 4 pounds (my goals each month), and of course 3. is to become a healthier me!
