My goal is to clean this condo more because it is still full of my late husbands junk. I want to be able to put stuff in the without other stuff in the way. I bought a new sofa. I bought a dining room table that I put together by myself. There's only so much you can do without money. I want to changed all the sliding doors on the closets and pantry to a regular door. They get jammed sometimes and won't open or close.

My goal is to plan my days better. To say ďno, sorry, I canítĒ more often.
I love being retired but I donít have enough structure in my life, it has become too focused on helping others with not enough time for myself.
I want better sleep and more contentment at this point in my life.

I am here because I eat and sleep so horribly. I spend way too much time making sure everyone except myself is taken care of. Time to give myself that same courtesy. Hopefully, I can learn some habits to look out for me and not have so many stressors that I can control being a part of.

Interesting to read these goals. I'm revisiting this challenge (I was here in 2015) because I've become stressed by circumstances that are mainly a noisy upstairs neighbour who has caused me to lose sleep - my shoulders hunch, my nerves are jangled, my ears are super-alert to every sound coming from the flat about. I already do quite a lot of things that are good stress-managers - yoga, meditation, walking, exercise, baths, listen to music etc.

So what is my challenge goal? I guess to discover my own power to deal with external stresses. How to react differently so that it doesn't stress me so much.

That doesn't feel specific enough as a target - but it's the best I can do right now.

My challenge goal is to not get upset when the tech devices have a mind of their own. It never seems to be just one but my phone and the computer will be a problem at the same time. What worked one day will mess up the next. I am getting to the point that I hate technology. I thought it was supposed to make life easier.

My goal for this week is to not let the folks at work and home get the best of me. I am terrible at getting upset with work situations that are out of my control and not knowing what to do with that. It causes my TMJ to throb which can lead to a migraine. I need to just let it go when its not in my hands and not worry about how those times will come out in the end. I need to redirect folks so that i am not always the sounding board for their issues.

The thought "I want to reduce stress in my life" isn't very productive without a specific goal. Where is the stress right now, this week? Recuperating from knee surgery and not working right now and money problems are the main problems. So, when I see the PT person tomorrow, work on ways to improve my knee so that I can return to work soon. That's my goal this week: do all my exercises, get stronger and have hope.

Today I allow myself to get stressed out, no one person causes it, I do it to myself. My goal is to slow down and learn to recognize it. I will exercise harder to relieve some of the stress.

My first goal is to try and journal all my frustrations and anger so that I can leave it on paper rather then have it in my head. Then the next goal is to not to stress over what I can and can't eat but rather eat by proportions so that it can get me in the habit of eating appropriately.

As I put on my blog, I am the caregiver for my 89 year old mom and also my husband who is disabled. Add a cat and a new puppy and yes I have stress. I find it is helping me playing with the puppy believe it or not. And I go downstairs to do laundry and walk on my treadmill and that is helping with the stress too. Have a great Saturday. SO goals for the week,

1, do 30 minutes of exercise at least 3 times
2. do strength exercise for 10 minutes 2 times

I got a membership for FMTV 21 day reboot or something like that. It is set up with a meal plan "to clean your diet" and morning yoga along with evening meditation. I am finding that I sleep a bit better when I do this. Sooo my goals are:

1. 10-15 minute yoga every morning
2. Drink a hydrating drink first thing in the morning
3. Get in my 12,000 steps every single day, no matter what.
4. 5-15 minute evening meditation every evening.

Just joined the Stress Buster Challenge because I tend to eat more food when I feel tired but not hungry at the end of the day. I work really hard all day, but it is more mental than physical. So. My goals are:
1. Go to bed by 10:00 pm- if it's on TV, it's recorded- I can watch it later!
2. Exercise 10 minutes 4 mornings a week. Sometimes SP needs to wait!
3. Find ways to be more efficient at work. Not specific enough goal, but it's a start!

There is always good in the universe, but sometimes you have to look really, really hard to find it. It's worth the effort, though. And when you do find it, dance like nobody's watching, so you can spread it around even further.

I don't read for reflection as much as I once did. I will read for twenty minutes three times a week. DW fractured her pelvic in two places at the end of October so I've not been walking the dog (his and my step counts are way down) while I help her before I go on the eve watch. I will walk the dog twice this week while DW is set up comfortably and work on increasing that as her abilities improve. I will put these on my goal board. Otherwise I really don't have any stressors. Cheers!

My husband passed away 7 1/2 months ago so I know how you feel. It's hard to let go and seeing a future without him is even harder. I pray you find peace in your heart and mind. This is one of the stresses I need to work on too.

If music is a passion of yours, I 100% agree that you should not listen to negative thoughts from others. If it comes from your heart, it is beautiful.

Many hugs!

My life is full of stress lately so I am really wanting to work on it as part of an overall healthy lifestyle. I want to learn better management techniques and ways to relieve stress that don't involve a plate of high calorie food.

Hello everyone!
My challenge is not over eating sweets when I get stressed. I love sugar!

1) I'm limiting my purchases to only single-serving sizes (to keep it out of the house)
2) Upping my protein intake
3) Trying to be more mindful when the stress monster surfaces

If you have any suggestions to share, I'm game
I wish you all success.

My goals for this first week is to acknowledge my stress, whenever it happens, and ask myself, "Can I do anything to change this situation?" If the answer is yes, then I do something to change it and relieve my stress. If the answer is no then I practice deep breathing and let my stress go. My biggest issue with dealing with stress is I get worked up and often times it's something that is beyond my control.
I will also commit to write in a stress journal every day!

-the body with healthy food
-the heart with joy, compassion, and love
-the mind with knowledge
-the spirit with equanimity and self-awareness"

To Joann 25: It makes me sad (and angry!) that someone says mean things about your music! Whatever it sounds like, music comes from your heart and that makes it a beautiful sound!

1.) Stick to my 10K training plan
2.) Do enough freelancing to get 1K in the bank for emergencies
3.) Log into Spark on a regular basis.

(All three -in theory - are very achievable goals for me. However, I rarely finish my goals - always tend to fall off the wagon about 1/2 way there. So my overarching goal is simply to stick to the plan.)

Well, this is much needed!! I never really thought about how to reduce my stress, just thought being a mother of 3 and a wife and a nursing student meant that I HAD to be stressed out 24/7. I feel a bit better knowing that's not true. So my goals:

Delegate some housework to the other 4 people in my household

Take some time to myself to do something OTHER than study

Do more fun things with my family.

I haven't really thought about it too much until tonight; but, here is a start.

My husband passed away almost 4 years ago. One of my goals (I have started doing this) is to let go and face the future with courage.

Don't react to people who say hurtful things about my music; continue playing the best I can and don't let words hurt me.

Stop listening to negative remarks.

My goal for this challenge is to -

1. Keep my composure at work.
2. Remember that my boss's baggage is HERS and not mine.
3. Keep my sanity through this move by realizing my limitations.

You are either part of the solution or you are part of the problem.

One of the things I'm stressing about is that my son and I plan on moving to a smaller house. I have a lot of things to go through and have to decide what to keep or not. I'm really dreading going through my husband Henry's things (he passed away January 22) which will be very emotional and stressful for me. I know I'll want to keep all of his stuff because it belonged to him.

My goals for this are:
Go through one room/closet a day
Get rid of everything I don't absolutely have to keep
Give to family anything they want of Henry's
Keep only one or two boxes of the things that belonged to him

Other goals:
Drink 80 oz. water a day
Try to sleep at least 7 hours
Walk or bike every day
Strength train, stretch, Chi Gong, deep breathing, and meditate at least 3x's a week
