how did you get your profile name?
I'm a professional photographer :)

tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm a home schooling mom, married with 2 kids, I run my own photography business (www.AmyBarkerPhotography.com), I love to read, watch movies, go hiking, take walks, go camping and knit.

how long have you been with sp and how did you find spark people?
I was with SparkPeople for a few years and then I closed my account, about a week later I regretted it and here I am LOL!

which are your favorite features on sp?
the fitness tracker & recipes

how many times have you tried to loose weight before sp?
I did really well using sparkpeople before and had lost 25lbs. Then I slacked and gained it all back. Now I need to lose 50lbs and am trying to change my lifestyle so it doesn't come back again!

how far are you in your weight loss journey?just starting?nearly there?maintaining?
just starting

how much weight have you lost?
2lbs

what was your aha moment?what made you decide to get fit and healthy?
when it became hard to even climb stairs and keep up with little kids when I was shooting families. I hate being out of breath all the time

what has been your biggest obsticle/struggle so far on this journey?
myself. sometimes it's hard not to just sit and do nothing

what is/are your biggest or most memorible (NSV)non scale victory/victories to date?
None yet...

what is a typical days meal plan for you now and how does it different from before?
I am still working on changing it, little steps at a time

what is your favorite healthy food?
fresh fruit/water

what is a typical weeks workout plan for you?
still hammering that out too. I just joined the local gym so I am trying to work their classes into my schedule on a regular basis.

what is your favorite exercise ?
My treadmill and Body Pump at the gym

if in maintance how do you stop from regaining weight?
what is easier losing weight or maintaining? losing it, maintaining it is where I always fail. I am going to have to learn how to maintain once I lose this weight

how are you and/or your life differant now to how you are before your fit/healthy life journey?
I am looking for more recipes that are healthier and trying to be more active. Starting this journey in the winter time in Iowa makes that hard some days

what advice would you give to other sparkers that are either new on this journey or who maybe struggling?
Use the message boards and the teams as much as possible and read other's journeys/struggles. Also, give support to others, it's amazing how much that ends up encouraging you!
