how did you get your profile name?
It is a moniker assigned to my husband and I by an ISP a long time ago.

tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a medical transcriptionist, pianist, and trumpeteer. I have been working on weight loss for more than 10 years now.

how long have you been with sp and how did you find spark people?
Three years, and Spark People's recipe calculator was actually recommended at a Weight Watcher's meeting.

which are your favorite features on sp?
Nutrition Tracker and all the teams.

how many times have you tried to loose weight before sp?
As many as 5, maybe more.

how far are you in your weight loss journey?just starting?nearly there?maintaining?
2/3 of the way there!

how much weight have you lost?
Almost 50 pounds.

what was your aha moment?what made you decide to get fit and healthy?
My AHA moment was earlier last year when I was (ate age 32) diagnosed with hypertension.

what has been your biggest obsticle/struggle so far on this journey?
Keeping at it. I have more weaknesses than I would like to admit to

what is/are your biggest or most memorible (NSV)non scale victory/victories to date?
After I got serious about weight loss, within 4 weeks I finally made it below my 2-year old plateau!

what is a typical days mealplan for you now and how does it differant from before?
3 meals, 3 smaller snacks. My meal plans before did not include snacks during the day, and my calories for meals are now equal, rather than one big meal at any one time.

what is your favorite healthy food?
Hmm, salmon.

what is a typical weeks workout plan for you?
3 days with Nike+ for Kinect (X-box), and 3 days of less intense training using workout videos, yoga, or walking with my husband.

what is your favorite exercise ?
Most certainly walking with my husband. I love the fresh air, and his pace gets my heart rate up.

if in maintance how do you stop from regaining weight?what is easier losing weight or maintaining?
Losing weight, I believe. When maintaining I tend to let my guard down some.

how are you and/or your life differant now to how you are before your fit/healthy life journey?
I am definitely more fit. I did not realize how much muscle tone I had lost.

what advice would you give to other sparkers that are either new on this journey or who maybe struggling?
This is a life-long journey. We can have trying moments, days, or even weeks, but those are no reason to quit.
