I generally eat something healthy before the party. Makes portion control and avoiding junk foods much easier!

I plan to go to family functions but prepared with healthy versions of food.

Not a big celebrator...last year I ate everything in moderation; but, was not calorie counting yet. This year I intend to eat in moderation and calorie count.

Everything in moderation. If you only indulge one or two days it won't do much damage anyway. Eating extra for weeks is another story. I've done both!

Good question! I guess for me it depends who I am eating in front of. If it is friends, it doesn't really affect my eating behaviours but at work I am far more careful. I have suffered a fair amount of fat bias at work so I tend to avoid the staffroom when I can.

In the past, it depended on who I was eating with. If I was with friends who made healthier choices, I didn't completely change my eating but I wouldn't go overboard. If I was out with less health conscious people I would definitely eat more. I always ate in secret! emoticon I am learning to make better choices because I feel better when I do.....no matter who I am eating with!
