I have eaten 100 gr and 50 gr. Carbs and it just wasnít low enough so my new goal is:
reduce my carbs to 20 gr.
eat more fiber, more vegetables
exercise 4-5 times a week

GOALS:
Check blood Glucose once a day.
Take blood pressure and pulse morning and night.
Drink 8 cups of water a day.
Start walking 45 minutes a day, Dr. advised.
Stay in calorie range.

I was sitting here thinking of goals that could be positive for me. Just having been diagnosed I have thinking of everything in terms of MUST, SHOULD, Seeing F8CONE8 list focus on photography just made it so much easier for me.

1. Consistently and honestly track my food.
2. Stick to the healthy changes I planned in my diet- (eat small health snacks and stick to plate method)
3. focus and work on photography when I want to snack/cheat

I am very pleased with my recent A1c. 6.6 and that was without Metformin which I just can't stomach, literally. I've lost a total of 15 pounds and my doc is very happy with me. My goals?

1. Continue to treat sugary foods and fried foods like poison. Not even in moderation these foods are my kryptonite.
2. Walk 30 minutes per day 5 days a week.
3. Focus on my artwork and photography commitments.

I was recently diagnosed as prediabetic so this journey is new to me.

My Goals:

1. Track nutrition daily
2. Eat within Calorie and Carbohydrate recommendations
3. 10 mins exercise daily

If I follow these goals, I should see a drop in my weight and my AiC when I next see my Dr in late October.

My A1C usually runs at about 6.4 and that's ok. That number could be better and it is my intention. This old body needs to stay a few more years and that will only be accomplished if I do all the right things regarding diabetes. Staying in carb control and taking the meds daily is part of the plan. If I can actually lose all the weight to get into a healthy range, then diabetes may well just disappear.

the rest is supportive, as able

I started this challenge on the eve of a trip to see my son and grandsons. It is time that I looked my diabetes square in the face and do some serious life style changes. I am 70 years of age and do enjoy good health but... it won't last long at the rate I am going.

Goal 1 - exercise a minimum of 10 minutes three days per week.
Goal 2 - walk 5000 steps per day
Goal 3 - drink 64 oz of water per day
Goal 4 - Track my food 4 days a week
Goal 5 - Test my glucose levels at least 3 times per week

I started this challenge Sunday and have been looking around trying to get things figured out.

*At the end of 2018 I was at my highest weight ever, 414 lbs. I have since lost 57.2 lbs I am partially disabled due to an accident (I fell down stairs and rotated my severely rotated my pelvis). I am on my way to a healthier lifestyle!! here We Go....

I am starting this challenge today for myself as well as for my husband. He has recently been diagnosed with possible pre-diabetes. So I am trying to learn everything I can to help him and I figure it will help me too!
