If you have a smartphone you can use our mobile apps or mobile.sparkpeople.com to help you stay connected with your tracking while away from your computer. If you don't have that option you can certainly catch up your tracking later in each week as your time permits.

I write in a paper journal daily to track food because I am not always near a computer. Here is my question though...Can you track your food intake and exercise for a week at a time for the week you just ended? I am at a plateau but W2TD. Don't see any results though. Don't worry though I will keep on trucking, because I am prediabetic and want to keep it that way, not be diabetic like my parents and brothers. emoticon

W2D1 (took me forever to figure out why everybody had this on their posts).

I'm just starting week two.

emoticon emoticon

I'm happy with my progress for week one. Ate well (usually) and recorded most days. My family did get me off on junque food (was that an excuse!?! emoticon ). I realize they don't make me eat it, but it's so hard to resist the temptation.

So I didn't lose any weight.

But, I joined water aerobics at the Y and attended each class, Monday-Wednesday-Friday. I also did a walk-by at Equine Assisted Therapy, so walked for an hour with alittle running when the horse trotted. I took my dog for a walk a couple times. I also did Wii this morning, but it was all mixed up - yoga, stability, balance, step.

Let's hope next week goes better emoticon

I just completed my second week of the challenge. I did my nutrition and exercise tracker every day. I am slowly losing weight which isn't bad for a 72 years young woman with multiple medical problems. There are times when I have a fight with myself to exercise, but I feel better if I just go ahead and do it.

End of week 2 -- It sure has gone fast. Got my cardio and ST in, tracked food three days. Only ate out once this week but that is typical. Tried the gluten free recipe for blueberry muffins and was very pleased. Not too sweet either.

I struggled the early part of the week. Did all my exercise and logged my food, but still fell early on. Ended with 2 super successful days and have started the week by working in the yard. Glad to be back on track and looking forward to the week ahead.

Week 2 Day 7 - day did not start well as I slept in so missed out my morning walk and desk work out. Made the Mexican chicken recipe for tea - thought I wasn't going to like it but added rice to the recipe and it went down well with all the family. Did a couple of hours in the garden after work so did do some exercise today after all. Not expecting anything from the weigh in tomorrow as I've concentrated on tracking food (still eating far too much but the tracking has achieved its purpose and made me aware of that) and have not really pushed on the exercise front. I'll give it one more week and then might have to join Boot Camp challenge as well just to get me off and running (so to speak). See y'all tomorrow.

I feel like I am making progress. Feeling better even though sugar is up a little.. I will go to the pool today and get in some good aerobics. Favorable heart test results have me in a better mood.

Worried about my little dog, though. He is a 12-1/2 year old Jack Russell terrier, deaf w cataracts and now we fear he may have cancer. This little guy is the sweetest. He was a stray I took in in 1999. I am very attatched to him. We'll find out more tomorrow after vet visit. You can see a pic on my spark page photo page. Prayers and good wishes are appreciated.

W2D4 Good on fitness minutes plus worked outside in the garden in the morning and on our walkway in the afternoon. Still haven't tracked food this week so I won't make my personal goal of 4 times but can still do 3. Tried ground chicken for the first time tonight. It wasn't a huge hit but it wasn't a huge bomb either.

Week 2 Day 6 = much better with the exercise today but still only playing at it. Need to get back in to some really heavy duty exercise or all the effort tracking food is going to be wasted. Did well during the day but fell by the way side tonight while out with my daughter at the cinema but not as badly as it could have been. One more day before weighin so it's all go tomorrow.

ROSEWCI maybe the bootcamp challenge will provide you the next level motivation you are looking for. Keep checking those blood sugars and including both regular cardio and strength training and you should be in great shape at your next doctor visit.

Week 2 Day 5 - not done a lot of exercise so far today but am doing very well with the food tracking even although I'm having to add a lot of the foods on before I can track them. Have made all my meals from scratch this week - not all of them low fat but made with as much effort to make them healthier. Still good with the water drinking and fruit and veg portions. Aiming to get back on track with the exercising tomorrow as it's coming up close to weigh in day and I would like to at least have lost a pound this week.

Fell off the wagon last night - had popcorn. But back on track today. Started getting up early to walk to beat the heat/humidity and I find that I like exercising that way! Still have some foods I absolutely have to avoid at this point I have found. Can't see 'em or smell 'em. I know which ones they are so I will have to start incorporating them in small amounts so I don't go off the deep end. Three favorite trigger foods: good bread with real butter, cookies (soft and chewy, not crunchy), creamy salad dressing. Another aspect to look at, explore and control.

Do the things you have to do so you can do the things you want to do.

Each small step is progress on the journey.

Well, I'm in week 2 but don't know what day (time is getting away from me). This past week I've done a lot of walking, so feel very good about it, .but today it was HIGH humidity and in the 90s. No walking! I'm making a conscious effort to eat better--eat those carbs at the right time. Also much less sugar. I've lost 3 lbs. Yay!

Week 2 Day 4 - not feeling so tired today despite not getting the recommended 8 hours shut eye. Been very good with the exercising today and with drinking water. Have purchased decaf coffee (can't get in to tea - herbal or otherwise) to see if reducing my caffeine intake makes any difference. Happy with my progress today and having read the check ins of fellow challengees week 2 seems to be working well for you as well. Weigh to go (sorry couldn't resist this little pun emoticon )

Day 3 Week 2 - not done any scheduled exercise programme today. Did take the dog for an hours walk (only meant to be about 40 mins) but Holly went awol for 20 mins. Finished stripping the hall and stairway and have painted all the woodwork today so felt that was a good enough work out in itself. Back at work tomorrow so on a more regimented eating routine. Still I felt good today - a lot achieved.

Today starts week 2 for me. I do well with workouts so that is not a problem. I do not especially like tracking food but since I managed to track four days last week, I will track at least four days this week. We rarely eat out because my husband has celiac disease and it is just easier to eat gluten free at home. I will try two new recipes though. I looked through several pages of the low carb recipes and found four that are gluten free or at least easily adapted.

Tomorrow is weigh in day and I am hoping for good news.
