fbs 118...kinda expected as I ate later than usual. Did my 3-mile walk and then started a new Zumba class. It was a tiring but good day.

This morning my fbs was 106. I got my walk in and strength training. I did take it a little easier on my strength training since I had to do it yesterday to make up for missing Monday. Now if I could only get motivated to study. (which seems to be a recurrent theme for me.) emoticon

This morning my sugar was 152 and I went shopping for a dress for a wedding and was estactic when I was able to fit in a zippered skirt

This morning my FBS was 100! I walked a little over 3 miles and did 2 repetitions of the 20-minute dumbell workout! It has been a good day, but I am tired and still need to get hours of study time in.

FBS was 138 this morning. I took less insulin last night. It's kind of a balancing act. Looking forward to walking a little later, and I have lots to do around the house today.

Early Sunday morning is one of my special times. I like to sit outside, have my coffee and breakfast, and think about what I've accomplished the week before, and what I have to work on for the coming week. I listen to the birds and watch my dog and my silly cats. I just let peace and God into my heart and mind. I thank God for my life, my family, and the world I live in. When I'm ready to start the rest of the day I'm in tune with myself and my surroundings. Bring it on.

Hoorah for you. I am so happy for you. I understand about not being able to do what others can do because of the heart condition that you have. I have congestive heart failure and sometimes I have to be careful and not get so out of breath that I will pass out but I take my time and do the exercise I just sometimes have to modify what I am doing.

I am excited to be starting week 6. I never thought I would last this long with this much enthusiasm. My heart condition doesn't let me exercise as hard as some of you folks, but I'm glad to be doing what I'm doing. I've lost weight and my sugars are in much better control. I've had to decrease my insulin by half. Goody Goody!

Week 6 has had its challenges so far. My work is linked to the school year and I am trying to make sure that added pressures and schedule shifts don't throw me off my goals.

But so far so good. During my 6 weeks with the program I have lost 11 pounds, Have exercised 5 days a week every week, and tracked my food very carefully. I actually had to increase the number of calories I was eating because of getting so much exercise! My FBS has gone from a wildly swinging 160-190 to a very controlled 100-108. This morning I was 101!

I'm finding out that it is within my abilities to control my habits and change them! its the first time I've ever lost weight without feeling like it was going to be a limited lifestyle change. I can see now that I really am changing my eating habits for life. Its not the end of enjoying food though, I'm just becoming much more aware of what I'm putting in my body and when and why.

I have noticed lately that it is easier for me to exercise on the bike instead of on the treadmill. I can go 30 minutes on the bike but if I am on the treadmill first for 60 minutes I can only do the bike for 10 minutes because of my legs are already worn out.

Alternating my walking with some riding on the exercise bike. I rode 5.5 miles yesterday. Have to do it in short intervals but I am getting it done. The ROM in my knee is getting a little better so I can do the riding. I am regressing with my walking and whereas I could walk for 41 minutes without stopping I am now having to walk for 5-6 minutes then stop and go back to it. I am walking for a total of 52 minutes which is 2 miles. I am walking at 2.3 to 2.4 mph.

Starting week 6. No weight loss yet. I am exercising 52 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week. Walking 2 miles on the treadmill at 2.3 and 2.4 mph.

My husband and I went on a anniversary vacation and something tells me that when I get back home I am going to be exercising overtime because I feel like I gained 5 pounds. Not easy to eat right when you are always going out to eat. thankfully tomorrow we will be going back home and I can get straight back on it.

I was sent a message from my fitness instructor the other day telling me what a wonderful job that I have been doing with my fitness workout. I have totaled 2,100 minutes of fitness in a two week time period.

Final day of week 6 - did my exercises but blew it big time on the food today - be happy if I stay the same this week at weigh in but will not be too happy if I gain again. Might need the threat of boot camp to make sure I stay on track in week 7. emoticon

FBS 117, that'll work. My menopause is giving me fits right now , but don't want to increase my medicine. I take a very low dose and don't like taking it at all . So as far as my diabetic, I had my lab work done Thur. and my A1C was 6.2,with no meds , so that is Fantastic!!

Week 6 Day 6 - weather been very rainy today so instead of walking the dog this morning I had a go at the Jump start cardio exercise video, the cardio box exercise video and the skipping video which I was not looking forward to doing as skipping's not my thing - but really enjoyed them all. So going to try another three this evening as it's STILL raining. Hope all is sunnier with you. emoticon

I am finishing up week 6 and feeling good about things. So far this week, I have maintained my weight but I am still keeping an average daily calorie intake of 1300 +/- so the weight has to come off, right? emoticon

Week 6 day 2 - not a good day food wise or exercise wise but met an old work buddy for lunch and both of us have the same goals regarding weight loss. I told her how I've been doing better because I'm with SP. She'd heard of it but is now rushing home to log on and see how it benefits her. emoticon

Week 6 day 1 - put on a 1lb so that means I've lost a total of 1lb in 5 weeks. Not good. On looking over the last 5 weeks I've been good at tracking food but not really taking on board the correct balance and I also need to be more consistent in my work out days. So that's the challenge for week 6.
