I've been taking (and have other people take) pictures of me frequently. It's surprising how much this is helping me. Prior to doing that, I was struggling a little with some body dysmorphia.

Our mind plays tricks on us. For years we see ourselves as large people. Taking a picture before surgery, and then every few months helps keep a log of the change. Also your mirror tends to show what you used to look like. Looking over the stages of change can help your mind see the difference also.
