There are lots of teams that have challenges on SP....so this weightloss thread is meant to be for those who wish to participate - it is definitely NOT mandatory!! . No teams, no challenges, only a 1 place stop where you post your information that you want to CHALLENGE yourself with.

I think sometimes we think this journey of weightloss is too overwhelming - either we have too much to lose so why bother, or it's too much time posting stuff or I hate exercise so why start? ....you name the excuse and I"ve probably used or at least thought it! Habits are formed by doing something consistently and that's my goal for this weightloss challenge -- to start somewhere to get me to the point I want to be at the end -- hopefully with weight lost! ( or inches, or minutes of workouts, or staying below in sodium levels for the day consistently, or well you get the idea.....)

So right now I just want to make this as simple as possible. The only challenge is with YOURSELF....are you going to keep at it? Are you willing to challenge yourself ? Are you willing to find what works for you?

So to begin - I'm only starting with 2 steps for me. (if you want more for you that's ok but remember baby steps are more reachable and more likely to become 'habits')

Here's how you begin
1. Go to the thread - Goal/Start Journal (right below this thread)
2. Come up with 1-3 (or more) things you want to track for yourself (this could be as simple as spinning the wheel here everyday for a certain amount of time (if you've been inconsistent, or perhaps tracking food or exercise, only you know what it is you need to do)
3. Come back (hopefully) each day (or week) and report your progress toward those goals.

Sound easy enough?? We may have to tweak it a bit as we move through this but the goals are YOURS...I would write them so that they are 'measurable' I mean how do you measure as an example - Goal 1 - to get healthy? You need to break it down to HOW you want to get healthy - so a better written goal is 1. To track my food each day or to stay within my calorie range or to exercise 10 minutes EVERY day....make sense?

Mine will be posted first so it might give you at least the format - but not the same goals necessarily. Hopefully this helps someone on our team (I know it'll help me) to achieve the goals they've wanted to but haven't done so yet...just remember SMALL steps. We CAN DO THIS -- all of us!!
