There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

On another team I belong to a Sparker posted a couple of videos she has found helpful.

The first features an obese man working along with the instructor:

Itís about a half-hour long. The people are engaging, but most of all, itís such a clear demonstration how to make adaptations if you are new to fitness or have health issues that make it difficult to perform exercises exactly as the instructor does.

The second is one I really enjoyed:

Itís an hour long, so you may want to do a few minutes of the beginning warm-up and the few minutes of cool-down at the end, especially if you are new to yoga / flexibility training. Most of the people in this class are seniors, and while the instructor stands part of the time, those in the group who remain seated adapt those poses for chair use Ė quite helpful. There are now quite a few chair-yoga instructions and videos, so if this one isnít your cup of tea, you can still find one you enjoy.

With another new year coming up, nowís the time to plan for any resolutions about fitness and exercise routines!
