As far as exercise goes I am at a 1. I am a master at finding excuses not to exercise. It is always at the bottom of my list. I know that I feel better when I am getting some exercise but for some reason, I have difficulty justifying making it a priority.

I know that sometimes I think that taking the time to exercise is taking the time for me and that is being selfish and I should be doing more of the things on my list that help other people first. This is an area I really need to work on my thinking process.

I think on the scale of 1-10 I would unfortunately be around a 2. I still have a strong loyalty to my cravings but in the past few days since I have really been letting what this book is talking about sink in, it has helped me resist more and more of them and think before I stick something into my mouth. I have also been learning and trying to apply the idea that I NEED exercise and need to stick to it!!

I think that I specifically want God to give me an undivided heart in that I will not just "forget" or lose sight of what I am doing for my body by exercising and eating healthy, and I need His strength to get through it or I will lose sight of it on my own. I need to consciously be seeking Him constantly. I need to learn to stay away from those cravings and rely on and put all of my efforts in pleasing God, not my bodily cravings and "needs."

I would have to say 1. I have been discouraged by the lack of time and lack of motivation I have and simply don't try beyond that. It's an excuse, not a reason. I have not exercised since before Christmas. Mostly it upsets me because I know the effects it has on my mental / emotional status and that alone should be enough motivation, but somehow it isn't.

I have often prayed for strength and wisdom, but never thought to pray for the things that really get you started like; desire, motivation and a real reason. I guess I have a new focus for my prayers.

Never mistake failure as final

Deciding what you want your life to be like is not hard. Deciding what you are willing to do and give up to get it, is the hard part.

I will do what I need to do in order to do what I want to do.

What you do and say is a reflection of who you are, so decide who you want to be and do it.

I would probably say 2. I am making some attempts at exercise but not much. Partially because of my leg healing but it is such a struggle to get myself to do the little that I do. I am really going to need God to help me to increase as I am able.

The psalmist asks God to give him an undivided heart. In what ways, specifically, do you want God to help you develop an undivided heart when it comes to honoring Him with your body?

i need LOTS of prayers about my exercise. pray to overcome my unbelieving spirit about exercise. praying to not just do it, but on a consistant basis... and lots of prayer about that conviction. over the years people have used the scripture of "treat your body as a Holy temple" to attempt to manipulate their own wants and needs, and not what actually is Godly... so i have developed a wall with that scripture. and i have to fight to hear what God is trying to tell me, not what others have interpreted and want to push onto me...

but thru all this STUFF i put, the bottom line is: she is right when it comes to me. i am lazy. i am grouchy cranky, spiritLESS when it comes to exercise. and i know i NEED to repent. i have to beg to God to help me WANT to repent.,

"so whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." 1 cor 10:31
