Hi Pikagirl. Thanks for asking but I have to pass since I have a Baker's cyst on my knee so am having trouble walking very far or working out. Mary

I'm in the first week of preparing for a 10k race and it occurred to me: anyone want to try a couch to 5k (c25k) challenge along with me? There are plenty out there at places like Runners World, Hal Higdon, Cool Running and many more.

There are plans for both walkers and runners (I like Hal Higdon's site: www.halhigdon.com, but a lot of folks like www.coolrunning.com and Runner's World has a 5 week plan at www.runnersworld.com).

Post your training schedule on Sunday and then each day post what you did for example:

So last Sunday I would have posted:

Sun: 3 mi run
Mon: yoga
Tues: 2.5 mile run
Wed: 30 min xtrain
Thurs: 2 mile run + 30 min strength work
Fri: rest
Sat: 40 min xtrain

Then, through out the week I would post what I actually did that day.

Sun: 3.5 miles
Mon:
Tues:
Wed: 30 min xt on glider
Thurs: 2.6 miles

So.... who's up for it?
