This is why I continue to go to the office one day a week, it keeps my mind sharp. I've noticed the past 10 years my memory is not what it used to be. I always had a great memory, but not anymore.

I always to a daily puzzle in the paper. I work on the computer every day, so my mind is always going. I multitask so much that I do forget things, like going to another room to do something and forget what I'm there for!!! I always have to back track and then "Ah Ha" I remember. My husband says it's stress. I try to work on relieving stress all the time.

I'm with Nancy... I have had issues with short term memory for years. Oscar swears it's because I'm always distracted, but it was an actual diagnosis in college as a learning disability. I was scared because I thought that meant early Alzheimer's, but I guess it's a different part of the brain, but I do want to keep my brain sharp as possible.

13 Ways to Maintain Your Brain
www.sparkpeople.com/resource/wellnes
s_
articles.asp?id=353

As we age, we continually notice that we don't remember things as well, we walk into rooms and forget why we went there, we have to write more things down so that we remember, we see our friends and parents losing their memory of recent events. That's not the path we want to follow ... at least not very far!

What can we do to keep our brains agile?

I've been working on an app most days a week that gives me 3 tests to do. They score me. They make it more like a game. I admit, my scores are much better when I give it my full attention and take my time. If I'm distracted, my score drops because I make mistakes. It's teaching me a lot!

~ Cathy

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
