for 1,200 calories on the DASH DIET,with their requirements of carbohydrates 55%,fat 27%,protein 18%.

The correct amounts are 56 g protein,37 g fat,169 g carbohydrates and 3-4000 for potassium.
I get 2/3 of carbohydrates from my fruit and vegetables,1/3 from bread products. Milk products is 2 servings daily.

For those of you that have been asking for a 1200 calorie count guideline to follow within the Dash Eating Plan, I have found a link for you to check out. When you go to this link, kindly scroll down to area called, "DASH Eating Plan—Number of Food Servings by Calorie Level". The 1200 level guidelines you're looking for will be within this chart and can be found as the farthest left entry in the chart.

I am so glad you liked that link. Anything to make your journey here easier. I, myself, am still getting into the diet itself so it's a learning process for me. So, anything I find, I try to make available to all our members here. thanks this link was very helpful and I feel the Dash eating plan is the best -seems to cover just about all the aspects of a healthy life style. now to put it into action
