Mine was 86/56 2 days a go, I get a heart health test tomorrow and it is tested at the same time. I will eat something with added salt, told to try gatorade as a persons body does use salt, sugar, potassium during exercise as well as water. I also have to add salt daily or as you can see it is too low.

blood pressure at gym today before exercise 90/62 still too low,heart rate too high and oxygen good at 97% before and after exercise. Will see DR. tomorrow.

Was 180 / 90 but just took a reading today at home with my wrist monitor and it was 160 / 85 Still high, but coming down a little.

The BP creeps back up to 140/85 each evening the last 7 days...then lower again each morning... not sure what is going on... rearranged some of my supplements and will work harder at increasing potassium and PLAIN water the next few days.

Three month anniversary of getting my two heart stents... eating more healthy, have increased my pedometer average, lost 6 pounds and saw 120/70 blood pressure this morning!!! Yeah DASH and consistant efforts!!

Smiling with BP back down in the 120/80 range pretty consistently again....

Trying to read more about the sugar connection to hypertension ...I think it may be a bigger factor for me than salt???

Heat continues to affect me ... 146/92 today pulse staying near 60 with medication

Being very vigilant with salt also am measuring output of urine for three days at Dr suggestion to see if I m putting out near same as drinking or sweating a lot and there by know what electrolytes to replace?

Feeling very irritable with this pressure and the heat combined - thankful DH put in air conditioner Saturday and that is helping some but the noise bothers me too.

Going to change this to What is MY blood pressure and what affects it???

I am distressed today that my pressure is back up...heat has always affected me and I did eat some commercial salmon yesterday but scales jumped 3 pounds, rings tight and lungs feel full of liquid blood pressure up 10 points on both arms and several readings today...headache all day too ---grrrr

So measuring liquid intake and only simple and more raw foods today ... hoping to improve tomorrow s we re scheduled for HOT all week.

Blood pressure is the force of your blood pushing against the walls of your arteries. Each time your heart beats, it pumps out blood into the arteries. Your blood pressure is highest when your heart beats, pumping the blood. This is called systolic pressure. When your heart is at rest, between beats, your blood pressure falls. This is the diastolic pressure.

Your blood pressure reading uses these two numbers, the systolic and diastolic pressures. Usually they are written, one above or before the other. A reading of:

120/80 or lower means you have NORMAL blood pressure
140/90 or higher means you have HIGH blood pressure

Readings between 120 and 139 as the top number, or between 80 and 89 for the bottom number is known as "prehypertension".

High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, but it can lead or cause serious problems such as stroke, heart failure, heart attack and kidney failure. You can control high blood pressure through healthy lifestyle habits and by taking medicines, if needed.
