My five positives are

I rode fifteen miles with my husband on our bikes. The goal this month is to get to twenty miles.

I got up and watered my garden and new trees this morning

My morning routine was finished before ten

Laundry was put in the washer this morning I usually put it in the late afternoon

Instead of riding my bike today because of the weather I will ride my stationary bike so blessed to have one.

My job position stayed the same - It was supposed to be cut - this is a big plus (4 me)

Konquer kitchen KAOS - on Day 4 - and lovin’ it

Laundered my comforter when I doubted that the “new to me” laundry equipment could do it - another “big plus (4 me)”

Turning around a downward slide in physical activity - before it becomes inactivity

Taking on four professional improvement projects - should make up for not being able to travel this summer, and won’t cost in gas money, tuition, accommodations

Started off the day with my arm workout.

Enjoyed a good workday out in the field.
Slowly people are trickling back.

I started a FB fundraiser for my Out of the Darkness Walk for my Kenny, since it is Giving Tuesday and due to the crisis, it is even more important to help the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.

I made from scratch flour tortillas and pork and vegetable fajitas. Fun for Cinco de Mayo.

I feel supported by my spark friends.

Made good on a standing invite from neighbors - put out 14 bags / items of garbage, and distributed them among my property and theirs. Usual max is 6.

As a “work from home” during “health crisis”, I had a minor task to complete. Knowing what I do about systems, and how certain forms disappear into cyber - ether - space, I took phone / pictures of the screen [screen shot didn’t work in that application], printed the results, and transcribed information from the notated form to a text document. I felt good that I completed the short task, on time, and have covered myself in case I have to re-submit results.

I was able to help a family who suddenly had to self-isolate - both adults, but still, I was able to do an errand and use what was in my own pantry to quickly provide the variety that is a boost when you can’t shop yourself (we are up to five days delay to get on the shop by phone / email list).

I took a hard look at what I was doing differently and what will disappear post - health crisis.

There was a Sunday School afternoon session - so wonderful to see children’s faces, and to hear them giggle and laugh. A highlight of my day.

My other critter friends outside my birds are coming back visiting ( bunny, squirrel)

Getting things big & small accomplished little by little

They closed all doggie parks last week, poor Ginger has been pouting.
Today Ginger is Happy! Thank goodness.

I didn't burn my muffins that I was baking

Ginger's allergy shots from yesterdays Vet visit kicked in & she is feeling so much better

My friend fixed my laptop for me today

It stopped raining & no more wind, the sun is coming out now.

Did my online Church service. Also was able to do messages and check up on everyone, before service started. Next week I am going to learn how to do the Zoom. That will be fun to actually be talking with them and seeing their faces.

Accomplished a small project that I have been wanting to get done.

I asked St. Anthony to help me find something from Mama's in a stack of boxes and bags and unlike other attempts, found it in under two minutes! I can now have the tablecloth on the table for Nick's party this weekend.

After a forced rest due to illness, I was able to go to work, yesterday and have a good day.

My car hopefully is fixed after a mechanical issue yesterday. I rely on this all the time, but especially this week, with meeting movers various places. Thinking positive.

I am in the homestretch of the worst madness.

I lost a few pounds!

My son, Nick and daughter Ashley are a huge help to me this week.

When I don't know what to do next, I pray.

Time in quiet reflection, this morning, gave a range of emotions, but was a good start.

I talked myself into my workout for the day, even though I would have rather stayed in a comfortable spot.

Caught up on needed sleep.

I am so glad about what you said "I would never want to be a waitress, but I did have fun, that day". That is precisely what I felt like! Feet OK, but head in a whirl. In that moment, at the end of the shift, I could understand better why wait staff tend to be very chatty and almost in a daze that there might be other customers (in an enterprise food service environment) who still need attention.
Sometimes it takes "experience" to gain perspective; other times, it takes a heart of compassion and openness. And you can't have either unless you are willing to step outside of your current comfort level.

@INSH8P I remember when I waited tables for a fund-raiser, my first and only time.
Whew! I would never want to be a waitress, but I did have fun, that day.

I managed a high profile account for the first visit and am glad that was a good start.

My flu shot has been administered.

I started back up on Magnesium and B complex.

Rest played a big part of my evening and it was what I needed

My meals are planned for today, as well as my workout.

I rode my new stationary bike while watching a scenic bike trail video and loved the workout!

searched high and low to have my food list complete

removed the deteriorating, questionable foods from a power outage of 5 days - my eating plan doesn't need to include that stuff

made myself sleep - in -- something else "has to give", and it's not gonna continue to be "me"

mentally said: "good job" to the many positive decisions made during September 2019, and thanked the Creator for the strength and wisdom from above that made that possible

@CVRONEK Love your energy to "attack" rearranging and organizing

played music with friends with the attitude of "I really like playing music with other people"

visited with acquaintances who reminded me of past activities and future possibilities

prepared (reheated) appetizers for a function

researched, ordered and picked up a large appliance for a reno

took time to enjoy spiritual, energizing messages to buoy my faith

@INSH8P , I am using a line from your previous post, as it is oh, so fitting, for today.

Saw energy decline as a clear sign: you can't even attempt to "do everything" - you have to choose!

Rearranged and organized one side of my storage room.

Disposed of two super cans full of things from my basement and storage room.

Had coffee with a friend.

Took out the trash for a friend and now home for some me time.

Road trip was a "success"

Extra planning at work was necessary, and made the start of a new campaign cycle much easier to help new colleagues

Offered support to a colleague, and I think that someone was surprised that "someone noticed" and "someone cared"

Saw energy decline as a clear sign: you can't even attempt to "do everything" - you have to choose!

I love the "extras" of living: they make going to work worthwhile!

Will allow myself a "day out of town". Haven't been on a road trip "just for fun" in a while.

Did end of the month pre-planning for work... have decided that having more personal agency over things I know that someone will ask me to get done will take the "sting" out of doing them, on my own time.

Took a look at what was on my home office desk, with a view to reducing the visual distractions as much as possible

Added a new step to my "creative" brainstorming workflow - using "wing clips" to gather like subjects of brainstorming notes, and place them in a file folder box, before formally filing them. I realize that, I have grown up pre-personal computer age, so I learned and practiced brainstorming on paper, not on a screen. (the closest I can get to that is using a tablet device). I just have to acknowledge that I shouldn't stress over it - just mange the "stuff" that comes from the creativity, knowing that there are some significant, marketable products that come from the messy part of the process.

Thank you, thank you for the gentle way in which everyone in this SP Team "Happy Healthy Sparkers" has been so open and thoughtful. This is certainly a positive of my day. I can think about ideas and share them in a way that wouldn't be possible on my own... and certainly not on other social media platforms.

I took care of a huge financial thing, and it is a weight off of my shoulders. emoticon

I have jumped into relearning or actually bettering my German. emoticon

I found Mama's handwritten directions for knitting her Christmas bells. emoticon

I have lined up all sorts of help for the tasks at hand.

I found a lovely outfit for when it is time to go to Arlington.

Thank you, @INSH8P . It will be OK. I have always gotten do attached to things, over the years.

The memorial went very well and was beautiful. The next day was extremely emotional for me though.
I am like that. Really good at the task at hand or for a crisis, but afterwards fall apart. emoticon

@CVRONEK Sorry about the garage; there must be lots of memories there
How did the memorial go on Saturday?

I am active every day; even though changes have been needed

I have a plan to stay "busy" during a time of transition

I am trying out new morning routines, including pre-measuring ingredients (seems to be working, so far)

Actively looking for encouragement, because I haven't figured out how to "do" meal planning in a sustainable way... Found a "let me walk you by the hand, step-by-step thinking it out / problem solving" article here on SparkPeople ... will see if this gets me into the direction I am looking for

Had a laugh watching a reality program "X-Weighted". The person wanting to lose weight, a health professional, had every excuse in the book; but it wasn't funny -- I could see myself and past excuses in the multiple ways that individual was dealing with the lifestyle change issues...

Friends took me out to dinner at a Seafood place, totally out of the blue.

I made a sculptor very happy by giving him a old bumper jack for his refurbished 1957 two door wagon.

There is now a plan in place for the demolition of my garage. Sad to see it go, but needed, as too costly to repair and getting dangerous.

I feel really good, this morning. Relaxed and ready to take on the day.

Most of my yard work and cleaning are done for the memorial on Saturday.

Electrical outlets that were damaged during construction got repaired (4 hours of investigation, detection, and correction with 2 electricians on the job).

Found out (by chance) about optional workshops for workplace development -- research and signup: DONE

Prepared for a known lifestyle change

Took time to be grateful for friends and family

Plunged into social media - not sayin' which one - but I decided to go for it, anyway

Had amazingly good luck with parking downtown.

Accomplished so much and with a joyful heart.

Did extremely well with my healthy eating and it shows!

A new "opportunity" at work, will broaden my horizons.

Mama's memorial set up is coming along so beautifully, it makes my heart glad.

Worked hard, really hard on a project proposal. Felt the "sting" of not knowing how to compile the info under a deadline, but did it anyway; and it was well received. Now I need to learn how to do that without being so stressed.

Recognized lapses in communication patterns with a colleague, and self-monitored to make improvements.

Opened my thinking to be more pliable during verbal conversations; some change noted.

Got answers to some fitness questions from a professional not directly related to my discipline... very appreciative of the extra time and attention to my case.

Did a task that others are being paid to do on my behalf... but I did it anyway....

A productive morning, after yesterday didn't go as planned. Feels so good.

My yard is ready for the "bull heat".

I am appreciated for what I contribute to the company.

Good steps in the grieving process as I continue to do things in memory of Mama and Kenny.

My spark friends are such an encouragement through all things.what a blessing.

There's nothing like being asked to offer support when you are hurting to change your perspective.

Change is challenging - but that is life - and having "life abundantly".

I can see clearly now through different windows.

Home clean up looks different after life changes.

Giving to others is the best gift to receive.

I found a piece of technology that was hiding at home - PHHew!

I tried a new activity; even though I got sick part way through.... I recovered quickly!

I have friends who stay in touch with me - and I reflect on what I value in those relationships, and stay in touch with them, too.

Observing instead of blaming - and then considering the possibilities: "What will change, and is it worth the initial discomfort of disrupting the status quo?"

I love to spend time day dreaming - and I now acknowledge that "me time" is part of a lifetime of creative brainstorming that I use professionally as a problem solving starter. It's OK to look at those musings as incomplete, and not as projects that have to be started.

The ‘big project’ is complete; I am pleased with the results

I put on a reception (with food, not beverage) at a function that I led - I found products to reduce the preparation time - and I started to get more confidence that, if I can offer good snack food for others, I can do the same for myself

I don’t like social functions, even though, in my area of work, it is part of the project process - but I am finding ways to be part of the social by having a designated role

Instead of verbally responding to a leader’s lack of accountability as part of the team, I observed and put a mental post-it note in my file: “Can I trust this individual to do what they say they will do”, and I actively brainstormed, instead of speaking out: “How do I discover a work-around that gives that person dignity and preserves their leadership position”. [all of this, is a big “first” for me, demonstrating situational competence in small group interpersonal transactions]

I dared to take time off, even for 24 hours, to visit friends 3 hours away from home

Feeling so good, this morning. The grief cloud is lighter.

Sprinklers set up and on at the crack of dawn. Oh how the birds and butterflies, yes, even the squirrels, love it. (Not to mention my gardens).

Did a little bit of work, this morning, with a trip to the office, but it was light and a beautiful drive.

Accomplished some yard work at Mama's and took another load home.

Finishing off the last day of June with pep in my step, a healthy meal plan and activity.

completed part 1 of a 2-part big project - really satisfied with the results

saw, in slow motion, what it is to be stressed, but worked through it, anyway (an eye-opening experience) (learned to “keep doing something” - and it was enough)

when I was called by the boss, unexpectedly, I tried to act with poise; it wasn’t anything that was any where near “career threatening” - just an update on a project

savoring an experience about ordering take-out food: I still don’t get it, but it is starting to sink in

when the going gets rough, there are amazing people who are supportive, whether you know it, or not
