I think my mum made regular cheesecake and froze it... it worked out well.

Hubby makes a very rich cheese cake with strawberry glaze with fresh strawberries. We tried freezing part of one of these and it did not work out. We use whole butter, cream cheese, eggs and heavy cream. This one broke down when frozen and was not the same when thawed

Keep on track

I cake is gone......... so much for freezing it. I would not have it in the house in the first place but it's Thanksgiving in Canada.

Thanks you for your posts.

Take a stroll through the freezer section at the grocery store and see what is in there. You can freeze many different desserts. Many varieties of cheesecake are there. Did someone give you the cheesecake? Is that why you want to freeze it? If you want to make one and freeze it, just leave the strawberries off. They can be added when serving.

I have frozen cheesecake several times, but never with strawberries on top. I think they wil be mushy when you thaw it, but the cheesecake itself should be fine. The strawberries will likely still be tasty, probably only the appearance will not be as nice.

I have frozen cheese cake, but not with the topping on it. So I'm not sure about the strawberry topping.
