HI All!
Sorry I was MIA for a bit there, I was so disappointed in my wi last week, I just couldn't post it. I'd gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks! I was so disappointed in myself. Frustrated with my on-again-off-again healthy lifestyle.
So, I buckled down this past week (well Mon-Fri) and saw a 4lb loss today!! YAY!
It's not magnificant, it gets me back to my start weight. But, it's better than being above it still.
This next weekend is all about creating a healthy meal plan for the next couple of weeks, pre-making freezer dishes (my go-to soup is almost gone! ACK!) and then spending the week making good choices and EXERCISING!
I am also adjusting to getting back into Student mode, with 2 correspondence courses this semester, so I'm really going to be working on planning ahead and TIME MANAGEMENT.
So, I'm starting ANOTHER 30 day health challenge for myself, and although Sept 1&2 weren't so great, cause I was at my parents house and visiting family all weekend, so food choices were based on other people's perceptions of "healthy". Ah well, it was great to see family and meet my newest Nephew (now 11 days old).
Back to reality now though.

I haven't had a chance to check out everyone's progress this week yet, but hope you are all doing well!

Hi! To my Friday weigh in group! I started March 16, 2012 = 226.6

Sept. 7= 196.2 The exact same as last week! I KNOW I need to eat at the lower end of my food tracker. I've been right upto the top everyday last week! It was a week of wanting to eat & NOT stop, rejection makes me feel like doing this. (I need to meditate on the WHY of this & release it! I think it has to do with my brother & his rejection of me. He & I are not speaking, at all. It is VERY intense & ugly between us. It IS a huge mis-understanding, but one I feel can't be fixed, it is in God's hands!)

Aug 10= 200.4 1# more released! Today I am walking several miles through out Disneyland & CA adventure! Then D23 event this weekend. I'm doing GREAT! The trip for work to the LAKE was wonderful!

Aug 17= 199.4 1# released! AND UNDER 200 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 6 YEARS!!!!!! I'm thrilled! & happy for Spark Peep! Yesterday I walked all over Disneyland & CA AD. I was hoping for a 10K, but only 4 miles! STILL a big accomplishment!

Aug 24= 197.4 2# released! I KNow it was because I was doing so many different things, exercise wise! My body didn't have a clue what I was going to do next! I have SO much more energy! I changed my target goal time to 11-30-12, from 9-10-12. I think reducing to 1.5# a week instead of 2# takes ALLOT of stress off!

Aug 31= 196.2 30.8 #'s released, so far! (Down 1.4 this week) The change is SO much less stressful for me! Not trying for 2 pounds a week. Exercise is more fun, too! Just playing & In-Joying life & this amazing process!

The only surprise for me is that I didn't gain more. The results of my echocardiogram have prompted my doctor to send me to a cardiologist. I'm a little scared to work out too vigorously until I find out what the doc says. In the meantime I will have to adjust my nutrition a bit to compensate.

Hello all!
I was away last week, so couldn't wi...
I was gone from Wed-Sun (Wed-Fri for work, then the weekend for a memorial for Dh's great-aunt), and somehow just COULD NOT recover this week to get back into my full healthy routine this week. There was a LOT of activity during our time out of town, lots of social situations and travel, all of which I find exhausting. THEN, Dh's cousin decided at the last minute to come up to our house when we were heading home. So, that meant an extra 2 days of socializing/entertaining that we hadn't counted on. I was EXHAUSTED, and by Wednesday I went to bed at 8:15.
Chalk it up to an off week.
So, I almost didn't WI today. I figured, I know I'm up, do I really need to know how much? Somehow though, after my run though, I was up to the challenge. So, I managed to WI and face the music.
Up 3.8 lbs today, so all my hard work of the last couple weeks is completely cancelled out.

Back to the drawing board for the last week of this 30 day challenge, and set myself up for success for my NEXT 30(1) day challenge.

Glad to see so many others had a great couple of weeks of WI's.
Here's to success in the week to come!

I weighed in this morning at 189.5! Officially out of the 190's :)

And even better - my BMI is no longer in the "obese" range, but is now in the "overweight" range. Still have tons of work to do, but it's such a motivational boost to see that! Motivated me to get out to the gym for an hour of cardio this morning!

Congrats on losses this week everyone! Anyone that didn't lose or gained this week - DON'T give up! Use it as motivation to kick butt and get that loss next week. You WILL see those results! :)

It's quite amusing: every Friday I am at the same exact weight: 221.8 lbs (My starting weight, 6 weeks ago, was 229). The last three weekends we've been away or involved in some "special" activity and we've eaten out, sometimes all three meals each day of the weekend. I don't know if it's because I'm new to this or what, but it seems to not matter where we eat or what I order (even if I think I'm making the healthier choices) I still end up going WAY over my calorie goal range when for the day. I cannot seem to figure out how to eat healthy while eating away from home.

Anyway, once again this morning, I weighed in at 221.8. I'm not complaining, because I know I've had those "hiccups" the last three weekends in a row. I'm just glad that the scale, over all, is going in the right direction. And this weekend, we have no plans other than to visit my in-laws (where they may order-in fried chicken or take us out to eat) for ONE meal; the rest of the weekend I'm going to be on track and next Friday my weigh in will show a lower number than that 221.8 :)

Well I am back after two weeks absence, recruited for a new job and moving in a couple of weeks. So last weigh-in on my mobile app 17-aug-2012: 200.2lbs, and this week 24-Aug-12 I am 198.4lbs! Happy with the lost and so happy about the move to the Maritimes!! Also tomorrow is my 22nd wedding anniversary! So everything seems to be looking great from my end. Hello! My Friday weigh in group! I am still traveling! Doing many fun things AND performing & working, too!
I started March 16, 2012 = 226.6

Aug 3= 201.4 (the same exactly as last week! I'm going to be traveling for 2 weeks I was hoping for a big release this week) So I will remember what I have done SO far! I'm down 2 dress sizes; I can walk a 10K; I can swim for 1 hour; I know that even if it is raining, I will keep moving forward; I LOVE my new perfect fitting clothes; My Self Esteem is higher than it has been in 4 years; I am a help to my Spark Friends & Teams; I am meeting new people in my physical life, while I am walking; I can do Sheppard Pilates Intermediate 2 times a week; OK this all helped me find my Sunnyside Up! Thanks Spark People!

Aug 17= 199.4 1# realeased! AND UNDER 200 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 6 YEARS!!!!!! I'm thrilled! & happy for Spark Peep! Yesterday I walked all over Disneyland & CA AD. I was hoping for a 10K, but only 4 miles! STILL a big accomplishment!

Golden Senior! When I started this new lifestyle I gained 2 pounds and stayed there through the first 7 weeks. Today I finally lost a pound, just got to stick with it and you know what else I have had days where I went over but I forgave myself and got right back at it the next day. Don't be discouraged you can do it. emoticon

50 years and 50 pounds. One pound for each year of life! Quitting smoking was the first step. This is the second.
