Saturday…went back out after dinner and did 65 mins double digging……………..65 mins
Sunday….went back out after dinner to tidy up and strim the stinging nettles of the second compost heap ready to tackle that tomorrow. 47 mins…total so far….112 cardio
Monday…went for a walk before brekkie instead of stretches prior to gardening all day- great warm up! 30 mins………….142 cardio
Tuesday…counted as a rest day, working at charity shop all day…142 cardio mins
Wednesay went back out after dinner to trim a hedge…30 mins……….172 cardio mins
Thursday went for a walk in the eveing………30……….202mins
Friday mowed the lawn and took the garden waste to the front of the house ready for collection on Monday (hauled 8 large calico sacks…worked those arms LOL) 24mins 226
Saturday trimmed the wisteria after dinner….45mins………….291

The second half of this week passed in a blur...but I kept trying! Here were the highlights...

Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday:
Playing a little harder with the kids--when my son asks me to "play chase" several days this week, I sprinted toward him instead of just jogging to go through the motions of the game. He laughed delightfully to see me running at him like that! emoticon

Wednesday I also took a walk to the post office instead of driving there when I got back from the field. It really took all the energy I had but it was worth it.

Wednesday the 5th I went for 2 20 minute walks pushing the baby in her stroller. On Thursday I power shopped for 5 hours. Friday I spent the day cleaning the house and doing laundry all while chasing a 20 month old tornado.

Over all my week has gone well. Lots of yard work and gardening, house cleaning and I got in some extra strength training. I now need to increase that. Once I catch up on the yard work I plan on going back to the gym. I should be somewhat caught up in a week or so.

Today was a slow day as I was not feeling so good. I did some cleaning up from my daughters BBQ yesterday and some light house cleaning. I did do some strength training. I did wall ups and free weights.

Hello everyone!! Sorry I'm a couple of days late. Sunday June 1st I didn't get anything in because I was sick. Monday June 2nd I walked the farthest I have walked since my back injury. I walked a 5k in 41 minutes. Plus I put in my flower beds for 30 mins of gardening. Today I spent over an hour with my husband putting in our veggie garden.

Yesterday I took a 10 minute walk during a break at work, and many days this is the only exercise I get. It is not going to be easy but I want to change this. So I made a point to take the kids for a walk and play games in the back yard with my son when I got home in the evening. I love summer for helping me do this

My landlords are in their 90's. They don't hire anyone to take care of the apartment interior just the yard. I clean my porch but I am on the third floor. All the dirt gets tracked up to my floor. I finally cleaned all the porches, front and back. It was nasty. Cob webs galore. I thought I was in a haunted house. Now my allergies are getting to me.

June 1-Logged 25 minutes for Playing with kids.

There's a story with this one....I was at a playoff hockey party with the family, needless to say my kids are not all that enthralled with watching sports on TV. There were lots of other kids there too, so with this challenge in mind I decided, it's OK...I can divert from the adult festivities and just entertain the kids for awhile. We played lots of games.."Big foot", "hide and seek..." and I took them for a little walk too. At one point I was playing tag with a bunch of 4-6 year olds, I caught all except one of them.

Got up this morning, cut the front yard, swept, watered and fertilized. Then went to the back and raked up and picked up some branches I had cut down before our family emergencies. Still working on the yards but got in a really good cardio and strength training.

June will be my first month back in the gym since my injury in mid-March.
I will strive for ST 3x a week and 30 mins of cardio 3x - 5x per week.

Crunches for core strength. Worked in the garden for 2 hrs. today and helped DS with yard work.

Walked outdoors and worked in the garden. Wall push ups to get the arms stronger.

Walked the long way to town so got in 20 extra minutes of walking, then went to the park and did outdoor exercises using the park benches @ the park down the block from me. Push ups using the back of the park bench for both biceps and triceps. Felt good!

Looks like rain again today, but Mr. Spot & I got out for our morning walk. Ended up @ our park and walked the track, as well as doing some push ups and tricep work using the park bench. Will work in the garden till the rain comes now. That will be a good work out.

Rain again this morning but did walk anyway outside. Finished up on the treadmill.

Busy days with chores, but got lots of steps in. Did ST for my biceps and triceps when I walked with Mr. Spot to the park early in the morning on our walks.
