I LUV Chocolate, too!!! emoticon It's my biggest vice, followed by those yummy flavored-coffee beverages at Starbucks! I should definitely put those on my list, this week should be easy since I'm already BROKE and have 2 more weeks before I get paid again. emoticon I've been buying dark chocolate-covered almonds lately, figuring at least they have some protein & fiber to go along with the chocolate - sadly lately I've been eating them by the HANDFUL, which kind of defeats the purpose. Soon they'll be gone too, so then I'll be forced to go without. (Oh, the HORROR!!!)

And my third bad habit is watching YouTube videos at work - really gotta cut that one out! emoticon

emoticon goals. Be sure you are ready to give up something not just limit the amount you consume. I would hate for your progress to be stopped or for you to feel like a failure if you slip and have any of these you listed in your goals.
Just something to think about emoticon

Great going...Keep up the good work!

Hi

I have a really good juicer all I have is one apple and one carrot and it makes me 250ml of juice which I count into my days calorie. I also add a lemon and fresh ginger and maybe a celery stick. Very yummy and healthy.

My weaknesses:

1. CHOCOLATE!!! Pretty much any kind. It's so heavenly! That sweet, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness is like heroin to me!!

2. Granola bars. I am in love with Nature's Valley Oats and Honey crunchy bars and the Sweet and Salty almond bars. They are so easy to just grab and go.

3. Cheese. I know it's not a sweet treat, but Holy Moses is it delicious!! It's so high in fat though! The main reason why I eat it is it's protein content. I'm a WLS patient, and protein is super important for my diet.

So I've come to the conclusion that for week 1, I'm not going to cut out these things completely. I'm going to ween myself off them slowly throughout this first week. I know myself, and if I cut them out completely, I will fail. So I'm gonna stick to this plan.

What do yall think? Good idea?

Good going all :] I'm still sugar free so far this week, yay! Well, except possibly some in a coffee that I asked to have WITHOUT sugar but it did taste a little sweet... but I'm not going to count that!

I think wine in moderation is ok for weight loss Avarose, but moderation is probably the key there as it can be quite calorific.

Fresh squeezed juice is a good idea to sweeten stuff, but I would never drink it straight - really high calorie!

Hoorah for coffee. Might go and get some more now...!

my 3 habits mmm
1. My wine, try and limit it to 3 glasses per week. But know if I really want to lose more weight they will have to go.

2. As I am gf and following food combining to be able to have my muesli I can only have it with cream 1 tbsp. Otherwise I have fresh squeezed apple & carrot juice. So that is a treat for me.

3.my fresh latte. It is the only milk I have. I do enjoy my coffee.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, flavored arabica beans + sweetness. Don't think I'll ever give up my one cup of coffee in the morning. I'm using Stevia to sweeten the brew. So that's good because the little bit of creamer doesn't go straight to my derriere!

My husband hides the chocolate chips. Thank goodness!

Planning on making the 5 layer flat belly cake from Dr Oz show. ....when my daughter picks up the ingredients. So is that really a good idea to be contemplating cake?

emoticon Not if I want to look like this girl! emoticon

Yes! Back on my feet again. No more exercising like the baby crawling for the goal line. Start walkin baby!

Slowly but surely, moving in a better direction!

Breakfast was luxurious... coffee with a teaspoon of cream and stevia, eggs mushrooms and a tomato...yum and I feel energetic. Going to the doctor today and I am not afraid of the scale... not like last time I went.
I'm bringing my protein bar with me as my apt is right at lunch time. So I have my snack so I won't get too hungry. With me, if I can keep myself from getting too starved and waiting too many hours between meals, I can make more healthy choices. If I'm starved, then it is hard to resist a quick fix sugar snack.

I'm ALL about coffee creamer in the morning. It's my daily indulgence and if I girl can't live A LITTLE, what's the point? :) I just try to keep things in check the rest of the day. Enjoy your coffee, ladies!

Slow and steady wins the race!

AmDo, I like the idea of the flavored coffee in the morning. Since I am doing low carb, I can do a little half and half and still lose weight. Something about that creamy coffee either in morning or afternoon just makes me feel like I am a Queen.
I had to go off of the sweetened fruit and yogurt and no sugar hot chocolate for a week or two. It seems to still set me off sometimes and have to go back to zero and add those things in in small quantities. I guess we have to listen to our own bodies. When the cravings start, that is the time to look at our food plan more closely.

GREAT!!!!! Good for you! I working my way off Skor bars. I used to eat 3 at a time about once a month. I am down to half a bar at a time. This week I only had one bar spread over 2 days, but haven't eaten the other 2 and not driving me crazy with the sitting there. I can do better, but weaning myself off slowly.

Here goes!

1. Chocolate. Okay... so I will get sugar free chocolate. Add a little cocoa to coffee. And buy fruit if I need a quick fix.

2. Icecream. I'll buy sugar-free yoghurt and mix it with fruit instead.

3. Sugar in my caramel-flavoured coffee. Don't buy that kind of coffee again! it's not nice without sugar but when I want coffee I want coffee. Maybe I will give this one away so I won't have to keep staring at it.

So in short: I will know I have achieved somethign if this week I avoid chocolate, icecream AND the caramel-flavoured coffee. Those were the only sugary things I ate this week though, so that's something!
