When my kids were growing up we used to have an Easter hunt outside. Mother and father would come and help me hide the eggs while my husband would take the kids in our car for a drive to try and find the Easter bunny. Once they thought they saw him LOL

After they had finished doing there egg hunt we would all enjoy hot cross buns with a cup of coffee etc...

I hope many of you are going to Dye the Eggs, Make the Jello Eggs, Attend the Easter Worship Service and Enjoy a Lunch with family. Don't forget to look for the Easter Bunny.

On Easter morning parents always hid eggs for us. Momma would have some of those big eggs that the Leggs Pantyhose came in. We used real hardboiled eggs and had to get to them b4 the dogs did. Daddy would not mow the yard till after Easter. Didn't matter if it was early or late. That way there were lots of good places to hid the eggs.

Sounds so much like the way I grew up. Food always there but heathy. Fresh veggies always. Sliced tomatoes on the table, homemade pickles , fresh fruit salads from the orchard.

Keep on track

How do you and yours celebrate Easter. Growing up it was a big event. I bet my Grandma Spent weeks in preparation. She was the dessert queen. Always a cake or pie in her freezer waiting and ready! Nothing low cal about her country cooking. It was always heavy on veggies and light on meat. That was the way she was raised. Biscuits or cornbread.
