We already do lots of different fruits and veggies, but I want to learn how to make them so we are full and in calorie range. My husband and I should be eating similar ranges but he eats about double because he just gets hungry.

To complicate things, I also have to balance out meals so my 14 year old step daughter is getting enough calories. She should be eating a bit more than me but tends to just nibble. She was unhealthily under weight so I compensated by packing in nuts and other stuff to get the biggest nutrients & calories possible for small servings.... which is NOT good for me or my husband.

She is finally to a healthy place so now I have a bit of shuffling I can do so we all have the right balance.

I have the Sparkpeople cookbook on the way. I will then begin to plan my meals. I am doing pretty well with water, fruits but I need more veggies. Not a big veggie fan, but I am learning.

I've decided to up my daily exercise and then be sure to eat at least the minimum calories for that day and preferably closer to mid range. I am counting all the steps on my Fitbit not just the intentional exercise steps so I get rewarded for parking farther from the door, taking the steps instead of the elevator, etc. Hopefully I will get a better understanding of how much I can eat and still lose weight

My main goal is to eat minimum 5 fruits/vegetables daily. It has been hard for me, but it's better than what was being done before joining SparkPeople 34 days ago - nothing at all. Gonna start off slow and, hence, aim for the minimum 5.

Already know my calorie range and have stayed within it 95% of the time.

This is the second time that I have done this month long challenge and I am hoping that I will really eat more vegetables and fruit rather than grains. I do think it is habit mostly but by eating more vegetables and fruits, I will lower how many carbs I am eating as well as eat less calories. I did a month long fruit and vegetable challenge in another team (not site lead) for the month of April and I was so excited after doing that, I just wanted to reinforce what I had begun doing in that with this. I really want this habit (of all of the ones that I am trying to change) to stick.

I also have a tendency to eat a lot of meat and so I am also trying to reduce the amount of meat protein that I eat on a daily basis. I have recently begun doing the plate method of eating (divide your dinner plate into 4ths with protein being 1/4, grains 1/4 and fruits and vegetables being 1/2 of the plate contents. It does take some getting used to what vegetables will fill you up or if you are like me I end up feeling hungry within 90 minutes later but other than that, it also feels freeing to know that you are eating a balanced food plan in such an easy and simple way to allocate your food portions.

My first and foremost goal is to just eat three meals a day. I don't need to skip breakfast because of hypoglycemia.

My calorie goals are about 1,000 calories less than what it says I currently eat. It would be brutal to automatically jump to 1500 from 2000-2500. I plan to at least eat as close as I can, even if it means focusing on the weekly intake as opposed to the daily.

One of my goals is to lean more about how my body respond to the foods that I eat.

It's a great day to start, since when I weighed this morning I was up 2 pounds. I know that weight changes up and down but it still is a bummer. So I reviewed what I did yesterday and all though I stayed in my calorie range - I ate breakfast very late, lunch later etc., which put almost all of my calories afternoon and night.

I'm back on track today and see how it goes.

This challenge is so hard, but worth it. I blogged about it yesterday and today I set a goal to keep a very close eye on that calorie range and set a range by 4.30.2014. It is taking me longer. It is very hard and eye opening.

I set my calorie range for 1100- 1200 and I enter my meals after I eat them and it is just so eye opening how easy it is to go over my limit.

I figured out how to set my calorie range. Man that was frustrating, but worth it. I blogged about that process a couple of time. Blogging helps.

This week was a struggle. Next week I pray it goes easier...............Next. I will keep tracking . I have noticed on the Saturday I eat in a relaxed manner. I need to match up my intake with my exercise. Sunday is hard I am in worship service most of the morning. I need to eat less and exercise less on this day. I will figure it out
