I used some of my zucchini to make faux crab cakes! Pretty tasty!

I love peaches more than just about anything, Holly! We have a very short season for them here in Missouri but I can't complain too much. My garden is bursting!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Okay, the pumpkins & watermelons aren't ripe yet, but they are coming in strong!

Tried the Raspberries I like those.
Just tried Egg Plant in a stew.
It turned out pretty good. (Found it here on Spark People).

I didn't get very many blackberries picked this year. Ah well, the deer liked them, I'm sure! Most of the Missouri peach harvest was ruined due to the late frost. I've been getting good nectarines at Aldis, though. We have a ton of tomatoes in the garden, but Al didn't plant much else this year, so tomatoes and herbs it is ;)

It was much better with the basil, more balanced!
Al got a watermelon & some feta to make a salad but we had so much food on Friday he didn't get to it.

That sounds good. How was the salad with basil? I made a watermelon salad with basil and it was good.

The blackberry-cantaloupe salad is pretty tasty. The first recommendation for an herbal touch at the end was mint so I tried that in one little dish and didn't like it very much. I'll try basil today.

My blackberries are getting ripe. I saw a recipe for a cantaloupe / blackberry salad. I MAY make that after the gym. But first, a blueberry pie for my son-in-law's birthday.

I'll be out at Aldi's on Thursday, I'll have to check their melons. We got a cantaloupe in our box last week and it was perfect! firm but juicy, really sweet. I meant to stop by the market where we get our boxes and see if they had more but I forgot emoticon

Love my fruits and veggies! Especially when in season.
We have been eating so many fruits and I know they contain a lot of sugar.
Had a honeydew that I think was the best ever! And watermelon has been great! Hope to buy another one Tuesday as they are so cheap at Aldi's.
