I will have to wait for next year to purchase a program. Vet bills right now, but thanks again for the tip. I will save the info and look around in Jan. Glad you are happy with what you downloaded!

Okay, so I went ahead and bought the Paintshop Pro 2019 Ultimate which includes Aftershot 3 standard version. As is my experience in the past with Corel they sent me an offer to upgrade Aftershot to the Pro version for $20 which is crazy cheap and I went for that as well. So now, I have the top version for both programs for a total of a little over $68. So far it seems to work even better than I had hoped, so I'm a happy camper and that doesn't happen often with me and software. We'll see how I feel about it in a year, but right now it's great. The combo should do most of what Adobe Cloud Suite will do and I own it for life for a one-time payment of about the same amount as four months rent on the Adobe would be.

Jeanne, I just spotted this post. I've been bouncing around with Elements (an older version), Darktable, Lightzone, and the Nikon free programs with an eye to getting a copy of GIMP for heavier processing because I didn't want to spend any money. Then I started revisiting Corel which I used several years ago. With the free group, I kept reading reviews, watching videos and trying the various packages and just coming up short on each of them in one area or another. I got one of Corel's never-ending ad emails and checked it out to satisfy my curiosity. It actually looked good so I started to shop and found a copy of Paintshop Pro Ultimate that also includes Aftershot 3 at about half price on Amazon for $48 for the DVD version and ordered it, so now I'm committed. The thing that left me a little cold with Darktable and Lightzone is the kind of limited support. I would guess Corel support both from the company and the user community is second only to Adobe. The software is very nearly as capable as Adobe's Photoshop and Lightroom combination and for about the cost of three months of renting Adobe, I own the Corel. Anyhoo, I'm now committed and it's supposed to arrive Wednesday.

I haven't downloaded this software yet, but I am going to this week. I hope the information helps some of you who are looking around for a program. You have to enlarge the screen to see what the guy is clicking on.
