Sounds like the most natural thing in the world to me - our bodies are not the same every day, and with that comes all sorts of fluctuations.

I find that when I go to visit my Mom for a few days and eat the high fat, high calorie (very delicious!) foods she makes I come home weighing the same or slightly less than when I left home. Not sure how it works, but it is consistent. I feel absolutely free to eat whatever she prepares and fully enjoy it!

I used to keep my daily calorie intake the same every day, whether in maintenance mode or weight loss mode. I decided to try the calorie cycling method and have found it to work well and it felt more 'normal' to have fluxuations.

I just tried this. Verdict is not out-But I think it is working. Also started Zumba once a week. Hopefully this will break the plateau. Good Luck emoticon

I've been dieting for 15 months and I've lost a total of 85lbs. My experience is that this definitely works in moderation.

It's called "calorie cycling". You can google it and find out more. It's worked for me.

Doing my best...one day at a time.

I haven't tried it, so I can't say. You might be able to get the answer in the ask the experts forum.. :)

I heard a couple places of techniques to get out of a rut or continue losing, by having a high-calorie day followed by lower calorie days.

Does this work? anyone try it?
