Yesterday was day 14. I was camping so the food was not the healthiest but I filled my plate with more fruits and veggies that burgers and such. Although I wasn't following the plan that day I found I could eat less and was able to say no to snacking as much. Walking in the woods and collecting fire wood was my NEAT exercise. It was a good time. Since we got back today and there was no scale tomorrow will be the weigh it... I'm not too worried, if I didn't lose the 5 I wanted, I will soon because I already feel a change.

Day 14 went off plan, met friends for lunch then got home late. Did play mini golf with the family and logged all of my food though.
I have lost 9 lbs in the last 14 days. Super happy with the results and have really enjoyed the food. I will continue following the Spark Solution plan, it's something that can be done permanently. emoticon

Week 2 kind of fell apart on me. But I guess weeks 3 and 4 are modelled on 1 and 2 so I'll start over with this next group. I've been on antibiotics and it seems they cause water retention, and my sodium has been pretty high. Though I think I've had better fiber numbers in the last two weeks than since I started tracking nutrition. Usually I'm seldom in range, and these two weeks I've been seldom below. And it's all whole grains and freggies, no fiber bars or junk. My protein has also really been good, and very few sweets, mostly spark swaps. It really has been a metabolic makeover.

I lost 3. More importantly, I seem to have lost my craving for salt. There have been so many great recipes this last two weeks. I had fallen into a food rut and am thrilled to have new, healthy meals to cook.

I feel good about having finished the program with few slip-ups. My sugar cravings seem under control. I had a cookie after dinner last night, it didn't taste so good and I sure didn't feel the need to have another... that is epic for me. I will continue to use lots of the recipes minus the mustard (I hate mustard!). I had hoped to lose more, but I'll take 3 lbs. and keep trying. Thanks SparkPeople!!!

I feel that cooking has become the new normal for me. I couldn't think of any restaurant food that sounded interesting after church today! We came home and ate some leftover Meg's chicken instead of eating out. I find also that my snacking has really decreased, and that is a big change! Three pounds lost in two weeks, and that is a big WooHoo!

Have had a stressful week. Fortunately, I was active and ate well. I did lot turn to food but I can see how under stress, it's easy to make bad choices. But, surprisingly, planning ahead, having snacks ready, planning meals and recipes in advance, makes it so much easier to stick to the plan.

These past 2 weeks I've lost 3 lbs, eaten more fruits and veggies, cooked more than ever before, and have not had any good cravings.

Does not mean I have eaten perfectly. Attended a birthday party last weekend and a baseball game this weekend. Still have to figure out how to eat at special occasions, etc. but, eating the Spark solution recipes has been amazing. I have found so many delicious things that I plan to make again and again.

I'm so glad I started this and want to continue!

I'm down 4 pounds...My today was my 40th wedding anniversary. Me and DH really had a lovely day. I made healthy choices all day and we went for a 90 minute walk together.

I am really thrilled to be 140. My goal is to lose another 3 lbs...but NOT TO STRESS ANYMORE about it. This 14 day challenge was good to get me on a really good footing and a good track, but I was stressed...and I don't want to be any more.

On our walk today, we passed donuts, ice cream, dippin dots, waffles, hot dogs and fudge...and none of it phased me...I just walked by and smiled. It was such a quietly lovely feeling...so very nice.

So onward I go. I choose health. If it is to be, it is up to me.

Cheers,
Sandi

I can't believe it's Day 14! Congrats to everyone who was able to stick with the program through the two weeks. My official weight and measure is tomorrow and I'm getting my hopes up for a seven pound loss. I feel stronger than ever to keep this up. Going to a cook out tomorrow and have talked with the host about available food. I have a plan, her father has recently lost a lot of weight and is very conscious of what he eats so it should be a good day for us. I'm in this for the long haul. I wanted to lose 17 pounds before my vacation and I have a real chance of having knocked 7 out in the first 14 days. How cool is that?!

Thanks SparkPeople!

Today was lots of housecleaning and yard work for my rest day. Lots and lots of NEAT.

After two full weeks of following the Spark Solution, I feel fully confident that I can move forward with my goals. I am down 12 lbs and 5" and best of all...I have a lot more energy. I am looking forward to tomorrow and what the day brings and I will still be following the Spark Solution.

Do not post in this thread before Day 14 (May 26)

Let's talk about stress! (Also, congrats on reaching the final day!) Does it surprise you to find out people reach for high-fat food when they are stressed? Do you? What are you going to do today to relieve stress? Need an idea? Try one of these stress busters www.sparkpeople.com/blog/blog

Today is your rest day--how will you spend it? Are you getting caught up on things that might interfere with your cooking or workouts next week? (Be sure to write down next week's workouts in your planner so you'll keep them on your priority list!)

How do you feel, two weeks after starting the program? Stay tuned for a final thread about what comes next!
