There are a couple of ways to do it. Try the tutorial at the top of the page- it does a pretty good job of walking you through

I like to be specific in what I did, so I don't use their exercises (even though they give an approximate calorie burn), and instead type it in myself. You can check my exercise log to see what I am talking about, if you'd like.

I don't concern myself with how many calories I burned when I exercise. I just eat about where I know I can maintain.

I have to do a calorie estimate for many of my workouts. But, the ones available on the site are only estimates anyway.

If you are new, it can be a little frustrating for awhile.

All newbies on the site get frustrated at first.

I set up all my lifting routines as groupings and just estimated times and calories from using my HRM - then if i don't wear it, I am not too worried about it.

So if I did 6 exercises (lifts) that day in 60 mins - each is 10 mins for time. I took my HRM calories burned for the entire group and divided it by 6. In my opinion, close enough. You can also leave those blank if you want.

Having trouble logging my routines. Can't find what I need, do I have to make up my own? If so how would I calculate calories burned? Use an HRM?

This site is hard to navigate.
