@PURPLEPEONY do you have any good recipes for oven roasting chicken legs? Or one for thighs would work, I'd just adjust the cook time. I finally picked up a pack of chicken legs, but DH won't be starting up the grill (he is going to smoke two turkeys this weekend, so LOTS of good healthy meat for next week, probably freeze some of that). I'm not a very good cook and need an actual recipe to go from.

Hope you are doing well! How is your intermittent fasting going? Are you still doing that?

@PURPLEPEONY, still have not had chicken legs!! Did have some wings, and the tiny little drummy looking parts are almost like it, so that helped, lol.

Family is doing good as school is winding down. My migraine injections have worn off, so chorus concert last night was hard, and band concert tomorrow will be even more so. But I can't miss it, I don't think my ODD would forgive me if I did!!

Found out from my doctor Friday that I'm supposed to be following more of a Paleo diet than Keto (why they did not tell me this before, I don't know). So, I'm having to start researching that and figure out the differences. I still have to do a high protein diet.

How are you and your family doing?

I have been having an autoimmune flare up that has lasted almost a month. Unfortunately the Prednisone was not effective this time and Wednesday my Dr gave me a different steroid that is a shot and a few other medicines. The Prednisone made me gain 9 lbs. this month so I hope the shot doesn`t make me gain more. emoticon

This month I am proud to say that I have stayed Keto. The sugar cravings were not as bad as they usually are when I take Prednisone. I did have the urge to snack a lot , even when I wasn`t hungry so that probably caused some of the weight gain.
Whenever I did get a sugar craving the Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Fat Bombs I made were a lifesaver. One or two was all I needed to curb my sweet tooth and curb my appetite for a few hours.

For meal prep this week I made a Buffalo Chicken Dip, Philly Cheese Steak Casserole, Sausage Balls for breakfast and a yummy Creamed Spinach Casserole. All of them are favorites of mine & recommend them all.

@PURPLEPEONY thanks for the review on the bars, I don't think I'll try them! I tried some caramel crunch bars from my bariatric's office (don't remember the brand) but they were so sweet I could only eat one bite at a time. I didn't think to check my glucose after eating some, but I won't be getting them again. I'm finally curbing my sweet tooth (I now mainly crave fresh fruit) so I don't want to get back to eating sweets again!

DH forgot the chicken drummies!! I'll have to wait till the next time we go shopping to get some, and this time I will go with him so the doesn't forget!! He did pick up some peanuts for me, which wins him points, but I've been craving cashews. Peanuts are okay, but don't quite get rid of the craving I have for pecans and cashews.

I managed to not eat any of the bread I made for the family yesterday! I made a roast with carrots, and some herb peasant bread to go with it and DH made gravy. I had just the roast and carrots, no bread or gravy. Yay!

A few days ago I tried to post a long review of Quest Protein Bars here. For some reason it wasn`t here so I guess I`ll try to post an abbreviated version now.

***PRODUCT REVIEW QUEST PROTEIN BARS***

Please keep in mind that everyone`s tastes are different and this review is just my own personal opinion.

I purchased 3 different Quest Protein Bars. These are not considered Keto but they are used by many low carbers. I purchased them at my local Harris Teeter but they can be found at Walmart,Target, GNC and almost all Convenience stores.The prices vary depending on where you purchase them but I paid $2 for each bar.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH BAR

21 g Protein
4 Net Carbs
1 g Sugar
14 g Fiber
These were just OK. There is a strong "protein" flavor and the texture is somewhat strange but it was edible. I often see low carbers put this flavor in the microwave for a few seconds to make the texture better but I didn`t try it that way. After one large bite I threw the rest of the bar away. COOKIES & CREAM BAR

This one was disgusting. After one bite I spit it out and rinsed my mouth. emoticon

This one was surprisingly delicious. After one bite I kept reaching for it and it took about an hour but I did eat the entire bar. Taste-wise this was a winner. It was like eating a sinful dessert. Unfortunately it gave me a 35 point glucose rise and some digestive discomfort so it will not be a repurchase for me. If you are looking for a tasty protein bar and don`t have these issues this bar may be worth trying. THUMBS UP emoticon ( for taste)

I have been craving chicken legs for the longest!! DH ordered a pizza the other day and got me some wings (no bbq sauce, it upsets my stomach) and it just made the craving worse. So when he goes shopping next, he is going to get some to grill. I think we are going to do just a simple sesame oil with salt and pepper. Very yummy, the sesame oil has so much flavor!!

I have discovered a love of kimchi!! Before going Keto, we went to a Korean market (I used to watch korean comedy dramas) and fell in love with the food, so Aunt G took me to this Korean market that also had stalls for restaurants (you have to get there early if you want a place to sit!!) I found this stuff that looks like Japanese onigiri, I don't know what Koreans call it. But I got one stuffed with pork and kimchi, it's basically stuffed rice in a triangle shape. So good. So I found this recipe and thought I would share: I don't have an instant pot, but if I can't find a crock pot or other recipe for this, I might go get one!

PURPLEPEONY, I hope you have an awesome Easter too!!

That portabella pizza looks awesome!! I showed DH the recipe for the Philly cheese-steak one and he didn't like it. I told him that he was not the one that was going to be eating it so it didn't matter. I think it would be great! I used to get Philly cheese-steak sandwiches at least once or twice a week when I was in the AF, there was this great place that made them, YUM!!

We made a roast with carrots and onions yesterday. I made herb peasant bread to go with it for the family, had just a taste to make sure the recipe turned out good. One of the downfalls of loving to bake is that I do have to have at least one bite to see how the recipe did and what I can do better next time. But I love to bake.

I'm worried about Easter eating as well, but I'm hoping to stay away from the yummy starchy dishes like twice baked cheesy mashed potatoes. I love it, but it is not good for me. I'll stick to the proteins and some veggies, BIL always brings asparagus, so that should be good. I'm making more peasant bread and don't know what else we will bring.

I never heard of onion bombs but they look like they would be delicious!


This week I`ve beeen eating pot roast and different salads. I made Lemon basil chicken tenders for the salad. YesterdayI had cajun drummettes with a garden salad. For dinner today I plan to have a salad with diced Lemon basil chicken tenders, feta cheese and chopped walnuts. I hope I can do a small meal prep tomorrow so I won`t be tempted to go off plan for Easter this weekend emoticon

Those Slimfast fat bombs don't sound so good. The new higher protein slimfast creamy chocolate shakes are pretty good, but they are also bigger, so I can't drink the whole thing, and it doesn't have as much protein as my normal protein shakes. I bought a pack to keep handy for errand days, but I don't think I'll get them again either.

Neither of those recipes are close to the one I had, it had actual pumpkin puree in it... but they do both sound pretty good. I'll have to see if I can find it anywhere on my pinterest boards. I'll post a link if I find it. I like the sound of the orange fluff one, it sounds like a dessert I used to like to have on holidays when I was younger.

Have you heard of Keto onion bombs? I don't like the idea of having the pork rinds in it, but it might be good, who knows? I know a few bariatric sites that sell pork rinds at really marked up prices as 'protein pork puffs', LOL.

I made the Low Carb Strawberry Fluff Cheesecake Dessert that I posted a few days ago except I used Orange Flavor. It`s really good but it is considered Dirty Keto because of some of the ingredients in the Sugar free Jello. I`ll just have it as an occasional quick treat.

***Product Review***




I finally tried the Slimfast Keto Fat Bombs that have been sold out everywhere. I purchased them from Walmart they were $9.99. There are 14 fat Bombs. The taste is just OK. The peanut butter is really dry, the chocolate is not very sweet. It was not bad while I was eating it but the sugar free aftertaste was unpleasant and lingering. I can make much better tasting Keto fat bombs homemade that cost a lot less but in a pinch these would be ok. I do not plan to repurchase these again. They are just not worth the price for me but I will throw a few of these in my purse in case I need a snack while I`m away from home.

PURPLEPEONY, praying for you as you fight the sugar cravings! I have been having intense sugar cravings as well, it's that TOM, and it's always a struggle. There is nothing sweet in the house, so it makes me feel just hungry, like I could eat a house. I overeat, so I have to be really careful when I have a sweet tooth and can't have sweets!!

I used to have a recipe for pumpkin puree and low sugar whip cream that was like a pumpkin pie fluff, it was so good, but I lost the recipe. I adore pumpkin pie!!

I hope you are feeling better. emoticon I have been in a lot of pain but yesterday my doctor started me on some new meds. Unfortunately one of them is a steroid which will definitely help me feel better but will also make me gain weight emoticon

oh my goodness that looks so good! I sent the recipe to DH since he is doing all the grocery shopping for now (till I can start driving again). Yum!

Tonight will be zucchini sliced and tossed in sesame oil, salt, and fresh cracked pepper. DH did basically the same thing to some grilled chicken, which tastes so good. I cook the zucchini on 400 for 30 minutes, it gets nice and browned on one side that way, or you could flip it halfway through for both sides (I'm lazy about it though, lol). So Yummy!

Keto Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms - Lasagna Style



Complete recipe (with MACROS) included below:

Large Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms - Lasagna Style

Ingredients:
8 large portabella mushrooms
½ lb ground hamburger (or ground sausage)
1 13.5 oz jar of Marinara (or pizza) sauce (I like La Famiglia Del Grosso)
1/3 cup chopped onion or ¼ cup dried onion (optional)
2 cloves minced garlic or 2 t garlic powder
2 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
1 1/2 cups finely chopped baby spinach
1 egg
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
½ T finely chopped fresh basil (or 1 T dried basil)
Salt (or Season Salt) Pepper to taste

Directions:
Wash mushrooms, with a spoon, scoop out all the gills of the mushroom and trim the opening of the mushroom wider if needed to hold the filling. Place each mushroom on a parchment lined cookie sheet.

Brown hamburger in frying pan with chopped onion and minced garlic. Season with some salt (or season salt) and pepper. Add marinara sauce to hamburger and mix.
In a bowl mix ricotta cheese and egg together. Add chopped baby spinach and mix.
Spoon about ¼ cup of cheese mixture into each mushroom. Spoon about a ¼ cup hamburger sauce on top of cheese mixture. Add grated mozzarella on top of each mushroom, about a ¼ cup for each mushroom and garnish with basil on top.

Bake at 400 for about 15-20 minutes or until mushrooms are baked through and mozzarella is nicely melted.

Serving Size 1 Mushroom. Makes 8 Servings.

Macros per Serving: 369 Calories, 27g of Fat, 7.5g of Net Carbs, 24g of Protein

For meal prep this week I made Sausage & Cream cheese Stuffed Mushrooms, Low Carb BBq Chicken wings, Bacon Cheeseburger casserole and for dessert Low Carb Banana Cream Mousse...(I topped the Banana Cream Mousse with 12 Lily`s Sugarfee chocolate chips and 4 chopped Walnut halves to make a low carb Chunky Monkey emoticon )

Tomorrow I plan to make The Bacon ,Gouda,Guyere & Brussels Sprouts Quiche and Keto Pecan Cheesecake muffins emoticon . Saturday I plan to have a cookout with the family. I will grill hot dogs, hamburgers and Ribeye steaks. For sides I`ll have Faux Potato salad and a Garden Salad.

The Mexican Chicken was grate, but I didn't make it that spicy, my mother in law ate with us and she can't do spicy I like Biscuits and Gravy

Well, somehow I've injured/pulled/something my muscles in my temple. I get a massive headache from eating from the pain it causes to open my mouth wide enough for even a small bite (it's been getting worse slowly for a little while now) Yesterday got so bad I decided I'm going on all shakes for a while. I have some cherry, chocolate, and coffee flavored shakes. DH got some frozen strawberries for me and some bananas I'm going to cut up and freeze. I'll also use peanut butter in the chocolate one. Must add a few calories to my shakes so I get enough!

I did not get the chicken drummies I wanted, but honestly can't imagine opening my mouth wide enough to get a bite!!

I really enjoyed both.

I tried this recipe today using the Argentine Red Shrimp (any raw shrimp will do), It was AMAZING! I only used half of the recommended garlic (I`m not a huge garlic fan) and I substituted OLD Bay seasoning for the salt. Everything else was done per the recipe. Sooooooo DELICIOUS! Those shrimp are soooo delicious! I may buy another pound this week before they go off sale.

Yes the frozen bag cauliflower rice is the way to go. I don`t have time to deal with a whole head of cauliflower. The frozen is so easy and eliminates the mess.

I`ve been craving Chinese food too! I may try to find a Keto friendly beef and broccoli recipe soon.

I hope you get your Chicken legs soon. I always crave chicken drummettes. I usually eat some at least once a week. I haven`t had any in a couple of weeks but my Jamaican Jerk Chicken wings are still next on my menu.

I made the Turkey Wings today but I cooked them in the oven I didn`t use the Crockpot. The Loaded mashed Cauliflower just came out of the oven so I`ll be having dinner soon! emoticon

I`ll probably have the Loaded Mashed Cauliflower and Turkey wings leftovers tomorrow. I tentatively have Ribeye steaks with a salad on the menu for Tuesday. PURPLEPEONY, the shrimp sounds wonderful!

We splurged and got Chinese from our favorite place, I got Mongolian chicken and just didn't eat any rice, so it was Keto. Yum.

I've decided I like cauliflower rice as a substitute for rice and did not know you could get it frozen! So, we got some this last week and I'll use it while the rest of the family has rice. I just don't eat enough to get a whole head of cauliflower and make my own, it is a waste. But the small frozen bags should be just the right size to last about a week.

Never did manage to get a chicken leg last week and am still craving them! I'm hoping I can get some this week. Just pick up a pack of uncooked chicken legs from the store and bake them with some herbs, should do the trick. Have it with some roasted squash.

I didn`t get a chance to make my Cabbage roll soup because I`m not eating much and I just finished my Lemon Basil chicken Thighs and Cheesy Broccoli Casserole.

My grocery store had Argentine red shrimp on sale this week so I bought a pound. They are really delicate and taste like lobster if they are cooked the right way. They are also the cleanest shrimp because they are very deep in the ocean. Today I made a delicious Cajun Shrimp Alfredo with Broccoli. I`ll have a little leftover for lunch tomorrow.

For Sunday dinner I plan to cook Turkey Wings in the Crock Pot. I may have it with Loaded Mashed Cauliflower.

I'm craving chicken drumsticks! I think wherever I go out to eat tomorrow for lunch (long day of appointments) will have to have chicken legs (not fried though).

We are going to invest in one of those vacuum seal freezer bag things (can't think of the name) for doing larger batches of food and leftovers for foods that we like. I pointed out to DH that I love his chili, but he makes so much that it goes bad before we can eat all of it, and he does not like any freezer burn getting on it.

Today was BBQ and coleslaw and a protein shake. Will probably have the rest of the BBQ for dinner.

Once a month we go to Sam`s Club to get our monthly paper towels etc and that`s where I get the oxtails. Walmart sells them to but I think the ones at Sam`s Club are meatier and less expensive.
The Sausage Balls and the Sausage and Cream cheese Stuffed Mushrooms were a hit! I`m definiitely keeping those on my regular menu rotation. emoticon

The sausage balls and stuffed mushrooms sound AMAZING, I'm going to see if I can at least try one of them this week! I love that you post so many recipes, I refer back to them a lot. I really want to try the braised oxtails now. I'm a foodie at heart too and don't do well with eating the same thing over and over. We had to do that with chili to get by during a rough patch financially, and I was so sick of chili by the end of it, even though I love this chili, it's going to be a while before I can eat it again!! We are going to try to organize the garage a little better this week and get the deep freeze plugged in and see if it still works. We want to get the vacuum seal bags for freezing food instead of using the ziploc, just to make sure it stays fresh and does not freezer-burn. Then I could make larger batches of food and freeze smaller portions, it would work out wonderfully for keeping my food from being monotonous!

Hi Karri,
The braised oxtails were wonderful. I have only had them a few times in life because I thought they would be awful but they are now one of my favorite things. I`ve never eaten lamb because of the same reason I avoided oxtails emoticon

Karri sometimes life gets in the way. Just realize that tomorrow is a new day and another chance to start over. Sticking to any diet plan when your family is eating tempting food is very difficult. I know I`ve been there. emoticon The holidays tend to be hardest for me. Now I realize that being prepared is key for me.
My life is so much easier when I have my meals already prepared so this week I meal prepped Cheesy Mexican Chicken, low Carb Meatloaf, Bacon & Onion sauteed French Cut green beans, Stuffed Cream cheese and sausage mushrooms and tomorrow I`m making sausage balls emoticon


All of my food has been delicious and I haven`t been tempted to stray off Keto even when my family orders Fast food because I know I have delicious food waiting at home.

Keto is really simple. I know that I post a lot of recipes here but that is just to show that there can be a lot of variety to Keto living if that is your choice. I know many people that eat the same simple meals every day every week and they are perfectly happy with that. I am a true foodie at heart so I know I would get bored eating the same thing so every week I like to try one new recipe once a week.

My Meatloaf: 1 lb. ground chuck, 1 egg, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, a couple Tablespoons of Sugar Free Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Italian seasoning, Steak seasoning, 1 Tablespoon Worchestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon celery seed , 1 teaspoon garlic powder, a little sauteed onion and bell pepper. bake 350 degrees. 45-50 minutes. (Larger meatloaf will require 10 extra minutes per lb.)

My Green beans: 1/4 cup diced onion sauteed in 2 Tablespoons of bacon fat, Canned French Cut Green Beans (Drained), 1/2 cup chicken broth, 1 teaspoon of sugar free sweetener (I use Truvia). Simmer 15 minutes.

That looks so yummy!! How was the Braised Oxtails??

I have done horrible with sticking to Keto, and I'm positive I've gained weight. I'm avoiding the scale. But, we are heading to Grandma's today and I'm taking my protein shakes with me. They told me what they planned on cooking, and I can't have any of it. I had decided yesterday that I will not let emotional eating ruin all the progress I've made (once I realized that was what it was). So, DH has decided he will be getting takeout for most of the meals (he called and offered, saying he didn't want Grandma and the Aunts to spend all their time cooking since we would not be there long, so this would be easier), so some stuff I'll be able to eat, like BBQ.

I'm ordering some portioned meal prep boxes and have scheduled Sunday's as my meal prep day. Though this week it will be Monday as we'll be on the road on Sunday.

I had Braised Oxtails and Green Chili Cauliflower Casserole for dinner today. I am so stuffed and content emoticon . It doesn`t take much to fill me up eating Keto

. I have enough leftovers for a few more meals and I still have some leftovers from the Kale and Sausage Mock Lasagna so I won`t have to cook for a few days.

I made the LOW-CARB SAUSAGE AND KALE MOCK LASAGNA CASSEROLE kalynskitchen.com/recipe-for

as part of my pantry clean out and it is very tasty. I used a pack of spicy Italian pork sausage I had in the freezer. It was very spicy but I like it. I did not add the additional salt as per the recipe and I`m glad I didn`t because the Parmesan cheese added enough saltiness. I`m not sure yet if I`ll add this to my permanent menu rotation but I`m glad I tried it.

Since starting Keto I have to throw away a lot of food because I`m not hungry as much and fresh veggies spoil quickly. Now I purchase mostly frozen veggies andI need to learn to only buy 1/3 of what I use to buy before Keto. I did a pantry inventory this week so I found a few recipes to use up some items I have in the fridge and freezer so these recipes are next on the menu. No need for me to go to the grocery store this week. I have everything to make these recipes on hand.

I had 2 yesterday but I only used half the heavy cream and it was still yummy. I usually don`t like the aftertaste from diet soda but this doesn`t taste like diet at all. You can also make Creamsicle flavor by using diet orange soda instead of diet root beer. I hope I can just have this occasionally as a treat but it`s so tasty it can become addictive. emoticon

Thanks for letting me know about the garlic in the green chili casserole. I`m not a big fan of garlic anyway so I`ll probably just substitute with a small amount of garlic powder. I may do a 24 hour fast today. I`m on my phone right now but when I get to my PC I`ll update you on some Keto things that have been going on with me.

I really like the Green Chili Cauliflower Casserole, I think the amount of garlic is a bit much, but I'll tweak it to my liking next time, it is still very good!! That is the first time I have riced cauliflower too, it is yummy and a good substitute.

I slipped... a lot. during past few weeks of migraines, I've not paid as much attention to my carb intake, I've eaten when I could (migraines make me nauseated a lot) what was available, and had way too many carbs. I gained 5 pounds. Not happy. Not beating myself up though, I'm just making more certain that for starters I don't let myself get so hungry that I'll eat everything in sight, even if that means just sipping on a protein shake for a while. And I'm getting my meals for the week planned so that I don't run out of Keto friendly foods!

Today I made country style ribs in the crock pot and finished them with sugar free bbq sauce a few minutes in the oven. I had some keto coleslaw as my side.

Sunday I plan to cook the Mexican Pot Roast and the Green Chili Cauliflower Casserole. emoticon

Karri I hope you get better soon. After I had my son I had terrible migraines and I could not function. I had to move in with my parents a few weeks so they could help me take care of my baby. I remember him sitting in the dark quiet room with me for two days because I couldn`t stand any light or noise. He was sitting in bed with me in the dark playing and I knew I had to get to my parents so that they could help me take care of him. My parents live 5 miles from me and that drive took almost an hour because my migraine was so bad I had to keep pulling over on the side of the road to throw up or because I was shaking so bad I was swerving. I understand what you are going through and I`m praying for you. emoticon

That sounds awesome!! I ate more carbs than I should have this past week and gained a few pounds... I had a migraine that made me nauseated, so when I was able to eat I ate quickly what was easy to grab. No excuse, but I learned a valuable lesson. I need to keep easy, quick, precooked Keto meals handy so that I don't grab the carb heavy already to go stuff.

Got more chicken salad and celery and have chili to eat, though the weather is turning warmer, so chili would not be my first choice.

I never thought to sub boiled peanuts for the beans in chili. I guess after boiling for a few days they would have the consistency of beans. It would be hard for me to resist home made fresh bread too. emoticon emoticon

emoticon Yum at all the pictures!!! We made chili, no beans, but boiled peanuts instead. Something DH came up with a few years ago that is oh, so good! So I have been having a lot of chili. I think this next week I'll get some celery and lettuce and make that crack chicken for when I'm not in the mood for chili. I'm making fresh bread for the family, which will be hard for me not to partake in, but, i will try my best not to.

That shake sounds yummy.

My friends family that lived in the Southern coastal region used to boil peanuts. She was obsessed with them and would travel there just to get the peanuts every year. I went with her once.

I just realized how much doing Keto has reduced my grocery bill. Since I`m not hungry as much it means I haven`t been eating a lot so I end up wasting a lot of fresh produce . I`ve got to change my shopping habits and only buy things i plan to use the next day or two.

I use Syntrax Innovations Nectar, Twisted Cherry protein shakes, you mix with water, so it is not as filling, but I have found that any kind of milk (even almond and coconut) upset my stomach. It mixes completely, so no annoying chunks and I add ice so it is like a cold cherry drink, no powdery after taste. I really like it. And as I'm super picky, so that says a lot!! The only problem is that I start getting hungry around 10 AM instead of my lunch time of 1130-1200. But, that is a monster I must tame, and remind myself that it is okay to feel hungry.

Ate some roast and it got stuck in between my teeth and now my gums are inflamed in that area. Makes eating anything hurt. I can't chew on the other side because I have a temp filling from a root canal that I'm getting a permanent cap put on at the end of the month, but have to be careful about it till then.

We are starting boiling the red peanuts today! It will take about two days, and then we can make the chili, which is Keto friendly. As long as I don't eat bread or crackers with it, lol. I usually make bread and bread bowls for the family and myself, so this will be my first time not partaking in that.

What kind of shakes are you using?

I found out that it was the flu that`s had me sick all week. I fasted for 46h and 29m. It wasn`t hard because I didn`t have an appetite from being sick. emoticon

My son wanted some home made chicken nuggets and after cooking them it triggered my appetite again. I didn`t have the home made nuggets, I steamed some shrimp in Old Bay seasoning and had that with a little butter and remoulade seafood sauce. This is the sauce I used because all the cocktail sauces that i`ve seen are extremely high in carbs. This sauce is delicious and a little goes a long way. It`s one carb per Tablespoon and that is usually enough for about 12 large shrimp. I think it cost about $2.50 at my local Harris Teeter grocery store.

Going to try doing two shakes a day and one normal meal this week. I think breakfast and lunch will be shakes and dinner a meal. I gained two pounds last week. I tend to eat when I'm sick with a cold, and I had a lot of snacks. Got to get back to my three meals a day with no snacking. May have to start weaning off of coffee too. I love coffee, but it has been making me crash after a few hours, and I don't want to be dependent on caffeine. I'm usually already wide awake when I drink it, I've just been drinking coffee since I was 15, so it is a habit.

Lettuce wraps sound good. I’m still aching and sick too. This has been going on for two weeks. One good thing about it is I don’t have an appetite. I hope things get better soon.

PURPLEPEONY, I had a rough week of being sick and not wanting to do much... I think that was most of my January, or at least it felt like it!! I'm feeling better now and determined to get back on track!

Looking forward to this week! I'm hoping to get into the routine of working out regularly again, I just have to figure out what time of day works best for me.

One of my favorite quick meals right now is lettuce wraps of any kind, usually a lunch meat (I don't normally like lunch meats), some kind of cheese, and iceberg lettuce. It sounds like the Crack Chicken will go great in some lettuce!!

How have you been doing?
The Crack Chicken is really good. I just finished having some for dinner. I didn`t add the bacon because I didnt have any but it was still good. This is a keeper.
