This first half of the year I had reoccuring dental infection from Feb through to April. Then In May I broke the base of my thumb, six weeks of a huge purple cast.

The cast is off and I am not only counting points but keeping track of calories on Sparkpeople.

My daughter and grandchildren moved to Florida in January so today I begin volunteering at a dog rescue, which will get me out.

My goals are to stick to my points limit and walk to work and back. Also to get out for more walking, hiking and snowshoeing. What would make the second half better is more accountability, better health and getting out with friends.

I just joined this group yesterday and I'm looking forward to . . .

Getting LEAN in the year 20FIFTEEN ! MY ROADMAP TO MY SUCCESS !

FOOD/FITNESS GOALS:
1. Track – 26 points (healthy food and snacks ; eat 3+ vegs)
2. Cardio, 20 mins; 4+/week
3. Drink more water - 60 oz+ daily
4. Fitbit goal 5+/week; walk the dogs more
5. Update Goal poster with stats daily

MOTIVATION/HABIT GOALS:
1. Positive motivational talks with myself and evaluate my status
2. Preplan food for following day
3. In bed by 11 on weeknights
4. Always have the house guest-ready
5. Visit Spark daily for motivation

PERSONAL/OTHER GOALS:
1. Remember that I am worth it; make me my priority
2. Relearn piano
3. Continue getting healthy and fit
4. Update my goals as necessary
5. GW by the end of 2015 (TA DA ! ! !)

Hi! I'm June and I'm excited about the Challenge! I've been on WW for years......and lost 75 lbs.
It's a good program, but this year I've found I lose better with less carbs--esp. processed food.
I'm excited to be here!
*FOOD/FITNESS GOALS:
1) Minimal processed food--not good for me!
2) Eat whole foods, fresh and frozen veggies, fruit
3) Exercise 4 times per week at the gym.
4) Walk Shadow 5 nights per week.
5) Choose healthy meals on week-ends

*MOTIVATION/HABIT GOALS:
1) Positive self talk each day
2) Have a fruit or veggie for a snack
3) Track all food eaten
4) Track exercise and how I felt the day was

1) to shoot for STOP every day!
2) track no matter what -- first I WRITE it -- then I bite it!
3) read GHG at the beginning of each month to remind myself
4) try to reach my daily step quota - always wear pedometer so I KNOW that number!
5) continue finding and trying new recipes that become my favs and "go-tos"

2) mark some reasonable WI goals on my WI card so I SEE them at every meeting
3) work on making the "plate" portions a habit that just happens!

6/12/15 update: doing OK with MOTIVATION/HABIT --- just went and did #2 in my current WI card --- made #4 a mini goal on my card as well

My goals for 2015.

*FOOD/FITNESS GOALS:
1) Track Daily Nutrition.
2) Stay within daily/weekly WW pts.
3) Track Daily Fitness.
4) Walk 3-4 miles each day.
5) ST 3 times a week.

*MOTIVATION/HABIT GOALS:
1) Work on increasing sleep to 7-8 hours.
2) Eat clean whenever possible
3) Be active in my Spark teams each day.
4) Visit my Sparkfriends.
5) Water, water, water....6-8 glasses daily.

*PERSONAL/OTHER GOALS:
1) Make taking care of myself a priority.
2) Lose 40 to 50 lbs by my next birthday (Feb 2016).
3) Make and eat three healthy meals a day.
4) Declutter closets, drawers, basement and garage.

OK this sounds like just what I need!!

*FOOD/FITNESS GOALS:
1) Avoid "non-food" foods
2) Drink more water (this never used to be a problem for me, need to get back to it!)
3) Do the 30-day plank challenge
4) Exercise at least 4x/week, even if it's casually walking on the treadmill at home
5) Track, track, track!! I know that's what works for me!

*MOTIVATION/HABIT GOALS:
1) If something is going to take 2 minutes or less, JUST DO IT instead of putting it off
2) Clean out closets/get rid of clutter in my home
3) Stay ahead of the dirty dishes
4) Always have the apartment guest-ready
5) Get more sleep

*PERSONAL/OTHER GOALS:
1) Pay off credit cards
2) Do more for my home business (to help with #1)
3) Play with the cats more (they need more attention!)
4) Take better care of my skin
5) Make sure I take as good care of my loving husband as he takes of me!

So funny that you posted this 'Lean in Twenty Fifteen' challenge because at some point this weekend I was planning to update my SparkPage and I will be changing my title to 'Strong and Lean in 2015' :)

This one is to get us organized for the year 2015 --- although the title says "Being LEAN" -- you might want to adapt it to your personal journey and rename is "Staying LEAN" (for maintenance members --- or "Getting LEAN" (for those able to hit their goal weight this year) -- "Thinking LEAN" (for those dealing with getting our thinking straightened out --- "Dreaming LEAN" (for the more artistic members!) ---- or any other word you want to put at the beginning of this challenge --- it's up to you --- make it apply to your needs!

But regardless of what you need or want to accomplish in 2015, it's always best to lay out a plan so there's a roadmap to follow --- otherwise we might be going in circles and we all know that doesn't work! This challenge is meant to help us get our goals organized and in writing -- something we present, commit to, and are able to accomplish in this new year. To help us get started, here's the plan:

Since it's the year 20FIFTEEN, we will try to come up with 15 goals. Those goals will be divided into 3 areas: Food/Fitness, Motivation/Habits and Personal/Other. Under each of the 3 areas, we will try to list 5 goals we'd like to achieve in 2015 (more than 5 or less is ok too) The important thing is for each of us to make it work for US -- make it fit US perfectly -- customize the challenge so we can come back here 365 days from now and have a big woohoo party b/c we did it!

Then you get started meeting those goals!!! When you complete one, come back to your post, hit edit and update your original post with your successes!

We will also have many mini challenges all year long --- seasonal ones -- monthly ones -- weekly ones -- even some daily ones! These help to keep it all fresh and new! The mini challenges will also be located as the very first sticky item in the General Team Discussion Forum --- if we put them there, they're easy to find and you don't even have to scroll down to see them! Easy-peasy!!!!
