Vacation school has been cancelled for tomorrow. We're supposed to get about 10 inches of snow tonight. Yeah! I can get in a longer workout in the morning.

Well, the scale seems to want to inch itself back in the wrong direction again. Looks like a crash course in get off your butt and move is due again.
Starting to get those munchy cravings again. Not good. I think I need to find soemthing to fill the void in between lunch and the drive home. V8 doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore.

Long day as Mondays always are. Went to our older son's cotillion class tonight and that was fun. Love watching 6th graders being embarrassed.

Have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. hoping for better blood pressure numbers. Know that I am bloated for TOM so still hoping weight will be lower than last visit.

Well..didn't get my Tae Bo workout in today. My fiance and dad were sick, so I spent most of my day making sure that they were ok and taking care of them. I did, however, make a really good smoothie. First one I've ever made! I put in a cup of frozen blueberries (that I picked last summer), a cup of mixed frozen fruit, a cup of fresh grapes and 1 cups of milk. I added a bit of twin to it to make it really sweet. My fiance wanted a little bit, but he wanted icecream so I added 1/2 cup of that to it. In total, it made 6 cups. It was absolutely amazing! So when I go groccery shopping tomorrow...I'm definitely getting more fruit to make more :)

Just got home from my 1/2 day of teaching vacation school. 3 more to go. I'm hating not being able to exercise fully because of this sore knee. Not holding out a lot of hope for this week's weigh-in.

Last Sunday, my niece was in the icu with two skull fractures and several face fractures. She was peeing by a car and the parking brake came loose. She had facial surgery on Thursday, came home Friday, AND WAS IN CHURCH YESTERDAY!!! Go God!!!

Good Morning,
Seems like it slipped my mind to get on Spark People yesterday...worked on the new baby's quilt. It's shaping up nicely!
It hasn't been that long since I quit eating sweets (except for coffee creamer), and lo and behold, I got on the scale this morning and I'm a pound down. OK...I think I'll stick with this!
Everyone with sinus pressure: I feel for you. It's misery! The only thing that seems to help mine drain (yuck) is a hot wet washcloth compress.

Good morning...
Is today really Monday? I hate weekends that fly by and you feel like you haven't done anything. Oh, yeah right, I didn't.
Well today I am back in the smooth sailing boat. Anyone care to climb aboard?

Todays goal...45 minutes cardio, 24/7 gym routine and a bowlfex session. Ask me how I did, tomorrow.
30 minute meal from my new Eating Well magazine.. Tortellini Primavera. Gonna load it up with a ton of veggies
I am looking forward to a good day. I keep wishing for spring to get here for lots of reasons but if i don't get my butt moving, I won't be prepared when it does.

Hi Everyone,

Just checking in. I had a great day at the gym today with my friend. We did 45 mins on the treadmill and then did 13 mins on the bike. We were aiming for 15 on the bike, but when we pressed cool down it was only for 3 mins :( Oh well though! The bike was a way harder workout for us though. Boy we were ever sweating! I love it though! Even had time for the hot tub today :) I love going to the gym :) Now if I can just get myself to do a session of Tae Bo tomorrow....

Good evening...
Well, I survived the weekend sleepover, barely. I have determined that yeah, I am just too old for pre-teens. LOL
Think I may have to pay a visit to the doctor for this sore throat and sinus pressure. Makes me feel terribly tired. No sooner does it seem to start going away, its back again.
Going to try the saline solution again tonight and salt gargle. I am probably just not doing it long enough for it to make a difference.
Has anyone used a neti pot? It looks a little freaky but I think I am willing to try anything at this point. I think it may be the dryness in the house from no fresh air in here....OH, I can't wait til spring gets here.
Hope dinner went well at Mom's tonight, Alicia.

Happy Sunday! I've been having some pain in my left knee so I've had to adjust my workout a little. It's funny, jumping jacks don't bother me at all but luges are quite painful. I still did 45 min. of BL Last Chance workout but had to switch up a few of the exercises.

Congratulations to all those who are getting in their exercise! Woo-Hoo! I wish I could say the same for myself, but no such luck. Don't know why I can't get myself in gear to do it; Just no ambition to do so.

Today went all right for me.... until after 3:00! Oh my gosh, I have the munchies so bad tonight, and I don't know why. I did well with dinner. Just half a bowl of chili, no corn bread, no shredded cheese. But after that, forget it. Throughout the night tonight I had two pieces of angel food cake, some ranch flavored pretzels, and some peanut M-n-M's. That's terrible! It's ALL junk food!!! Now my stomach hurts and I feel miserable. I plan to work extra hard to make sure tomorrow goes MUCH better! Hope ya'll had a better Saturday than me!

Got in somewhere between 3.5 and 4 miles walking this morning. So at least the exercise happened today. Life at home is just wearing me out. Wish I knew how to make life better for others at my house but alas, I can only help myself.

Just checking in for the first time in a few days...SP has been acting up to the point where it won't even load a page for me. Has anyone else had this issue over the past few days? Argh! Anyways, If found a gym buddy (a good friend of mine actually) and we're making plans to hit the gym at least 3 days a week :) I really look forward to it :) We hit the gym on Thursday and did a 1/2 hour on the treadmill and then went into the hot tub to relax for an hour. lol! And then we swam for a little bit. All in all, great workout and had a blast! We're going again tomorrow :) Have a great weekend everyone :)

Ugh, I've been staying up too late watching Olympics, too, and now I have a cold to show for the lack of sleep. Oh, well, was planning on spending today at the computer catching up on work anyway, so it's not like the cold will slow me down too much. Might take some extra naps, though.

I think I've done okay with my eating this week... but haven't been prioritizing the exercise.

Good morning... Shoot, I was so tired last night I forgot to post. Actually just sat around watching Criminal Mind reruns. I find that it's not good for me to do that. Found myself rummaging for things to munch even the DD made a super delicious eggplant parm for dinner, spaghetti squash and brocolli on the side. I know I wasn't hungry just wanted wanted to snack. So thankful there wasn't much junk food in the house. Ended up just having myself a hot cup of tea and some cinnamon graham crackers with a lemon yogurt parfait. I don't think it was too damaging. I will know after I get it posted to the journal.
Ahhh, Lee..wish I could be srapbooking as well. Still have to get all my Disney photo's cropped, edited and sent in to be printed. I could print them here but I don't think the quality is as good.
Gotta finish decorating for DD B-day and run out to pick up a few things.

Hi everyone. Just stopping by to say 'hello' and TGIF! I'm getting ready to watch Survivor with my DD (DVR'd it) and then I think I'm going to bed. I usually stay up later on Fridays when I don't have to work the next morning, but I'm still a little tired for some reason.

Awesome day planned tomorrow.... scrapbooking with my BFF! (Wish you could be here, Aunt T!) We haven't scrapbooked in soooo long, that I know I'll spend half the day just getting organized! Looking forward to my hubby's chili for dinner tomorrow night, but he got the cheapest ground beef, which isn't the lean stuff. Uh-Oh!

Ok, I feel very dumb. I didn't weigh in - just didn't think about the scale. Olympics are driving me nuts because I stay up too late. I have a doctor's appointment Tuesday and I know I haven't dropped weight. I have changed my figure but I haven't dropped any numbers. I haven't checked my blood pressure recently either. So all in all, I need to buy a clue!

Hope everyone is doing better than this!

I REFUSE TO LET STRESS RULE MY DAY.
There, I said it. Furnace guys at my house now, leak in the roof, class visit in an hour, lots to do at work, etc etc etc.
OK. Must find my Happy Place. How about this, it tickled me: the female Olympic hockey teams -- as well as the luge, etc -- all the girls are nicely made up. Make up! For Hockey! I love it. These are not girly girls, understand. They are focused, serious athletes. With make up.

Kinda glad tomorrow is Friday, maybe.. DD is having some friends over for her sleepover B-day party. Great, a bunch of 12 yo giggly girls. We are planning a spa night. Facials, pedicures and manicures. This should be fun. She had a play at school tonight that didn't end til 10:00 pm. How in the world do they expect these kids to get enough sleep when they don't get to bed til 11 and have to be up at 6. Anyway, couldn't get my workout in this evening and up to late this morning to get it in. I aim to get in double tomorrow. But for now, like you Alicia, I am beat and hope I can sleep good tonight.

I'm also just passing through to say hi! I was up way too late last night, and now it's catching up with me. I did pretty well today, food wise, but I only got six glasses of water in. I just don't want anymore! I feel like I'm going to float away!! If I were going to stay up a little longer and unwind with the boob tube, I could've gotten two more glasses in, but I just want to go snuggle up under the warm blankets with DH and drift off into LaLa Land. Tomorrow's another day; I'll make up for it. Good night, all!

It is so bitter cold out this morning and I would have much rather just stayed snuggled in my blankies. Does it feel like a Friday to anyone else, too?
DH did Leslie Sansone with me last night and I wish I had video taped. I was happy to have him do it. He always says he gets enough exercise working. I thought so too but my my Gowear fitband tells me otherwise.

I walked into the bathroom at school this morning to get a paper towel and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. Double take! I have only lost 9.4 lbs but I realized that I could see a difference. I will have a smile on my face all day!

Good Morning!
I watched the Olympics last night, happily, and cheered when Apolo Ono won and basked when Lindsey Vonn won....but...wait...y'all aren't into the Olympics, are you? Oh.
Well, it's motivating me, and making me happy. I love winter sports. All that youth, and accomplishment, and snow..so exciting. And I'm very impressed with Vancouver. Lovely!
I, too, am following a modified Lenten fast. Not a strict one, but I hope it helps me align my energy.

Happy Hump Day! How is everyone? I think I'm doing so-so. I've actually started a 21-day partial fast for religious reasons, and that could either help me or backfire on me. I fast every day until 3:00 p.m. and by that time I really have to concentrate on not giving in to my urge to binge.

So far I think I've been doing well keeping myself in check, but I try not to worry too much, because it's not about the food, it's about the reason I'm fasting. A good friend of mine once told me, "If the Lord calls you to it, He'll bring you through it." I love that, and I've been holding onto that statement since I started this on Monday. I know you're not supposed to skip meals, but even if this fasting journey backfires on my weight loss efforts, I won't regret it. I know I'm doing it for the right reasons, and the good Lord above will help my body get back on track when this over!

So anyway, I just wanted to fill you all in since you're my teammates. I'm not really sure what my weight is going to do over the next three weeks. Time will tell, I guess! Have a great night all!

Olympics run through February 28. Regular programming resumes on March 1.

I have been up too late watching certain sports and I know it is not helping my weight loss at all. I am tired all day and not tired at night. Majorly annoying!

Just checking in right quick. I'm searching for a good low-fat blueberry muffin recipe to make in the next few mins :) Oh, and does anyone know how long the Olympics run for? I hate missing out on my shows...especially The Biggest Loser! Argh! :P

Good evening,
I feel like I am on lets make a deal today. Should I take todays weigh in (door 1) or hope to see a difference tomorrow (door 2).
I have been sucking down chicken soup for four days and trying to flush the sodium that goes with it for just as long.
I have to say, I am quite amazed that even with a sore throat, I still managed two workouts a day for two days straight. Now that may not seem to amazing to most but for me, there are so many excuses hidden in just that one sentence.

Hey all,

Just checking in right quick. Woo hoo, down 0.6! I'll take it! I can't wait to get out of the 190's, that's for sure! Oh, and I usually never watch the olympic's, but it sure was exciting to see Canada take home the Gold in the Women's snowboarding :)

Feeling like crap. I haven't been doing the best on my diet the past few weeks. Some people call it stress, some people call slip-ups, and others just say forget it and go binging on food and forget there diet all together.

I haven't been binging. But I haven't made the wises of choices either as far as food goes. I've had a lot of pizza and soda over the past few weeks. I don't know why exactly, I guess I thought I should treat my self for losing 40 pounds since the the 1st of Jan.

But that's just not like me...nor is it right. So I have to work my way back on the band wagon, as I have gained some weight back. Not that much, but enough to make me feel like crap for the week or so I took off from my diet...

For that I must apologize to everyone including my self....for letting my guard down.

But I started back on track today....It was hard as they had a pizza party at work and I forgot my food at home...But so far I have rejected the temptation as I want to lose the weight.

I want to be a better person, a healthier person....

LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST....

Hooray! I lost two pounds this week! I've also been working on getting my water in before late in the evening so I'm not up all night running to the restroom. That's a bit of a struggle, because I like my coffee or hot tea in the morning. I'll get it in, though! It makes too much of a difference when I don't.

Good Morning,
Stayed home from work today because of a killer sinus headache. Slept until 11:00 and feeling much better.

Still loving the Olympics!! Tonight: Men's short program in figure skating. Promises to be a satisfying, close contest. Can't wait!

Plan to spend the afternoon sewing and doing laundry.

I have been crazy busy at school so I am enjoying my snow day today. I have been hired to research what areas on the state testing the kids who are failing did poorly in and teach them those areas during Feb. vacation week. The things I do for a little extra money. As far as exercise goes, I'm still getting up at 4:45 to get in my workout before school. I have only missed 4 days since Jan. 1. Continuing to try and eat right although Valentine's was a challenge with all the candy around.
