Good morning..
It's going to be a tough last chance workout today. Once day back to work and I am already feeling the pressure of a tight schedule. I know we all have to deal with that.
I did get my one mile down this morning, one more mile to go tonight but a full bowflex session is due. part of me is pumped to get it done and the other part is dreading the thought.
Still dealing with sinus pressure and trying to be miserable as little as possible.
Okay, off to work...have a great day!

Have a Beautiful Day!

THUNDERCAT-Thanks for the tips :) I will definitely keep them all in mind :)

So, I was planning on getting a session of Tae Bo in today, but I've been feeling pretty yucky. It must have been something I ate. I still feel pumped to do my workout...but I know that my poor stomach won't be able to handle it :( Oh well, going to the gym tomorrow though :) I can't wait!

Hey Tiff..
When I was weight training, my instructor told me to start out with light weights, 1 set of reps, move up 10-15 lbs, to a weight that you have to challange yourself to get all reps done. If you are still not feeling like you have to push yourself near the end, adjust the weight accordingly. The pain afterwards is not so much the difference. The muscles may be conditioned now, it;s during the workout you should feel the burn. He also told me that whatever training is done, counter act that muscle group with a set of stretches.
Your doing great, I bet you can see a difference in the muscle tone.

Good morning..
After a long 4 day weekend, it's back to the rat race. Kinda looking forward to getting back to work but the momentum is slacking today.
I don't want to just hope for the best the next two days. Thats what always gets me in trouble. I have a plan, I have goals... why is it so difficult to keep those in mind? My mind is already searching for any excuse this morning. I try to wake up every morning with a positive attitude, but this morning there is such a lack of clarity. Almost like am just wandering in my own lost little world.

Sinus pressure is no better and I really want some warmer weather so that I can get some fresh air in this house.

I will be off to the hot shower and hope it will steam some of the fog outta this head.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning,
Well...no more Olympics. But as I mentioned before, there is always On Demand!
The hockey game was pretty exciting! And the poor USA team, they looked so sad afterward. Goodness, they got a silver medal! And they ALMOST BEAT CANADA!!! Amazing game.
Not feeling very well. I will try not to complain, but now this ongoing sinus infection seems to have gone into a chest cold. OK. I know. I need to go to the doctor.

MACULBERTSON-I just started to get into the Olympics, which I never ever watch! Go figuire it's the last day for them :P lol The Canada Vs. US game was amazing! A real nail biter! Did you watch it? I don't even care much for hockey, but I was screaming and jumping out of my seat by times. I don't know how I even got supper cooked while watching it lol :P

As for my week. It's been going pretty good. I feel really bloated though due to my TOM. I hope that that won't effect the scales for my WI on Tuesday! I've been getting a good 3 sessions in at the gym lately. I'm struggling with finding a proper weight when I do my ST...I find that I feel like I'm lifting what I should be lifting, but then I don't feel it afterwards like I used to. Any other time I strength trained, I could really feel my workout the day after. I'm going to have to increase everything a little bit more I guess. My biceps are fine though :) I'm also going to have to add more cardio days. I am wasting my other 4 days off inbetween my gym days and with my wedding looming only 7 1/2 months ahead of me...I can't afford to be lazy. Why oh why do I always slack off?!? Grrr! I know that I've pretty much wasted the month of February, due to a situation that was beyond my control...but I'm pretty mad at myself for letting it get to me that bad :( I really have to pick up the pace! Tae Bo for sure tomorrow! No excuses!!!

Good Afternoon, barely,
This is the last day of the Winter Olympics, and it makes me sad. The closing ceremonies will be broadcast this evening, then that's it. Except for On Demand. WooHoo, I can catch all the ladies' figure skating, of which I missed Every Minute.

Good morning...
Well, I found out this morning I have muscles under this flab somewhere. Flab doesn't ache when you workout, does it?
I did my second bowflex session for the week which in itself doesn't seem like much but oweee does it ache this morning. I am proud to say I made it 4 days with calories in range and that included B-Day cake. I managed to hold myself to just a small piece and that was fine. Going to make a point to get my 5th day 30 minute cardio done and the rest of my day is hoepfully resting up to return to work tomorrow. Seems it gonna get into the 40's. YAY!

Suz,
I have been there. Ours was the boiler. No heat or hot water for a week. It never fails, it's hard to keep money set aside for emergencies, especially in this economy. I wish you the best in resolving that issue.

Mary Ann.. yes, I can sympathise with the sinus infection. I don't have an infection but the stuffiness and the discomfort in the cheekbones and ears makes for a miserable time.

Hope you all have a great end to the weekend.

Good Saturday Morning,
The snowfall was pretty pitiful, by this winter's standards. Only about 2 inches. But it's very pretty, and covers up the yucky gray-black melty freezy slushiness that was all over the place.
I will be very glad to kick this sinus infection. So tired of it. It's a real motivation stealer, if you know what I mean. Who wants to exercise when their face is throbbing?
Just a few errands today, and then sewing, while watching the Olympic games of course.

Well, its already 11:00 and have started nothing. So, I need to get on the ball, here.
I have a bowflex session, 30 minutes cardio and another workout to get done before it gets to late.
I am also giving in and trashing my magazine collection. UGH! I don't know, there is becoming a a part of me that just wants the clutter gone and most of the mags are just piled up to moved to the basement anyway. A curious addiction, indeed. I tried to donate them to a nursing home, homeless shelter, etc.. but they don't take magazines.
I probably have every cooking, craft and quilting magazine stored aways since the late 70's.
Well, gonna get busy... Have a great weekend!

Yes, that sounds like you have a wonderful experience. I hear Spain is beautiful.
A dear friends daughter had done a classroom by sea tour (not sure if thats what it is called) but she was on a ship for year where she traveled to many countries, mostly Asian, I think. The only thing she found difficult was food. So many differences in what is available. I don't know, I don't think I would have been able to do that at 19 years old, by myself and I thought I was pretty independent back then. LOL

In answer to the questions regarding our travels. My hubby does assignments that are scheduled for 4 weeks each, but occasionally will end earlier, making it only 3 weeks. We find out where we MIGHT be going usually about 3 weeks ahead, but can't say anything until it has been "announced", usually about 1 week later. If the location is outside of the US, the company reimburses my airfare only, and any other expenses for me are at our own expense. Since we generally split meals, we don't usually have much extra expenses for food, and I usually hand wash my clothes or use a coin-op if I can find one. Where the biggest expense comes for us, is when they finish early. Then we have to pay a change fee of $200-$250 plus any extra cost for the ticket (since it is last minute, that is always likely). Also, the amount paid towards airfare is added to his pay and taxed, then removed, so we usually end up paying about a third of the amount which is deducted from his paycheck. But considering all the many places in the world that we have been able to see, it has been a wonderful opportunity. Sometimes, trying to scramble to change tickets can be a real pain, but still worthwhile. In the past almost 2 years, we have been to Paris, France; Horsham, England (about 40 mi. from London); Madrid, Spain; Amsterdam, Holland; London, England; Toronto, Canada; Copenhagen, Denmark; Frankfurt, Germany; & now, Stockholm, Sweden. We have also been to many locations throughout the US and my hubby also went to South Africa without me. While Jon goes to work each weekday, I have the day to do as I want--relaxing, using the gym when one is available, or exploring the area. Then we spend the evenings together, usually finding somewhere to eat and go exploring on the weekends. I hope this is helpful.

Just stopping in to say hello. Crazy day! Kids were home because of a snow day, and they drove me nuts with all the fighting! UGH! Is that what I have to look forward to this summer??!

Anyway, got both bathrooms scrubbed, and got laundry caught up, so now I can relax for the weekend. Not too much, though! I don't want to be so "phased out" that I lose my focus! Have a great night everybody! We're going to play a couple games with the kids which is always nice. Then maybe I'll get lucky enough to have some alone time with DH.

Night!

Wave bye-bye to the 250's and be positive that you will never be visiting there again. Milestones are definately a wonderful success and certainly puts a boost in how motivated we can be or again become.
It's not so much the knowledge of the hard work it takes to get to that milestone but remembering to learn from the experience. Don't get caught up in the number itself but the changes you have made to achieve will help you move right down to the next.
Stay focused...in just another 10 lbs, usually a whole new dress size. Your doing it!

Good morning...
I have to say, I am pretty darned proud of myself. Ate well yesterday, got a bowflex session done ( one of three this week) a 30 minute cardio and well over my water expectations. So, two days down and still working towards just one solid week. I gotta say my arms are killing me and may have to adjust the weight on the bowflex next session but it makes me feel like just maybe I can do this.
The snow is still coming fast and furious this morning so Yay.. not heading into the office but probably will need to work remote. It will give me time today to get caught up on laundry so I won't have to spend all weekend getting it done.
Off to get my day started. Hope everyone has a great day and wonderful weekend.

Good Morning,
I am peeved with myself. I fell asleep and missed all the ladies skating last night in the Olympics! Of course, never mind that I worked from 7-3:30, visited 7 classrooms, ran myself ragged, and couldn't keep my eyes open as of, oh, I'd say 8:30. Oh well! I did get to see some of the men's freestyle skiing. Love that.

Is anybody on the team in or near Phoenix, AZ? That is our next destination and it would be great to meet up with someone from BLC. I discovered that KIZZY is in Phoenix, so going to try to make contact with her--maybe we can hold each other accountable or something. It is always great to be able to meet face to face with online friends...

As to the snow--we are suppose to get snow flurries from now thru at least Tues. here in Sweden, but the temps have been going up and snow is acually melting! The road in front of the hotel is finally bare--the 1st since we arrive Feb. 12th. We are looking forward to the warm AZ weather after all this freezing cold--it actually got down to -22 C last week! Brr!

Good morning...
Thought for sure it was goig to be a really bad weigh in but only a small gain. Still a little annoyed at myself but will move on to a new week and postive outlook. More snow heading our way which stinks right now. I am so looking forward to turning the clocks forward so that there is still some daylight left when I get home from work. I miss my park walks.
Hope everyone has a great weigh in and working on a great week as well.

Have a Beautiful Day!

Good Morning,
I miss the Biggest Loser, too, but our cable company does carry it On Demand, so I can re-experience shows that have already been on. (I refuse to say "watch re-runs")
Have a great day!!

Me too! I'm really missing The Biggest Loser show :( It'll be on next week, right? Had a great workout at the gym tonight with my friend. We even got our strength training in :) I'm feeling great!

I'm enjoying the Olympics, but can't wait for The Biggest Loser to return!

Regret - what for? I can only start where I am at the moment. Today is Sunday, May 30, so I am starting at 190.

Let's keep the train going this week, team! Hope you being inspired by the athletes on television. Many have overcome major obstacles to be there. It helps to take away your excuses, or at least my excuses.
