So sorry to the friends who are not feeling well. It is the time of year for colds and things to sneak up on us, and those of us who are around small children get an extra dose of germs.

I think I should have taken your day off scenario. I feel liek I got hit by a bus. My nose is running like a faucet, my throat is sore and I am so tired but can't sleep for the coughing spells. Think I may have picked up from DGD.
So much for a good day. LOL

Busy day preparing to finally return to work tomorrow after being off 8 weeks - and my little one's birthday tomorrow - I'm going to bed early. Good luck to everyone with their weigh ins.

You all may have decided it was a good day, but my body decided it was a tired day! I have decided to take tomorrow off as I am exhausted and with so many people sick, I think it is a good idea to catch up on sleep to prevent illness.

Mary Ann, why don't you treat your stressing like the commercials or such? Have a list of exercises and do them every time you stress! It's a fun thing to do and you will get some exercise as well.

Hello,
Thanks, Rebecca! I did find the recipe, along with some other very tempting ones. Can't wait to try the cupcakes and a couple of the others.
I tried to stay busy today, cleaning and doing laundry (difficult but not impossible without a dryer). It seems I'm stressing out over stuff more than I'm exercising or being productive. But, I have to remind myself that painting rooms is productive!

Pretty day, lovely evening, and I'm enjoying the calmness that Sunday evening brings.

Sorry I didn't post here yesterday. Between the half marathon and the tae kwon do tournament our boys were in, I ran out of time and energy. I did write about the half on my blog so check it out!

Mary Ann - the cupcake recipe is on the BL site under Curtis Stone. If you can't find it, I will look for it again. I had to substitute some things and so that may have been a taste issue for me.

To clarify, I don't run much on these events. I mostly walk and want to run more than I do. But I still participate and that's the most important thing.

Yesterday continued to be a good day after I posted. I got to the gym for strength training and cardio, and then played my Wii Fit in the evening. And I got a lot accomplished, and had yummy tacos (with ground turkey breast) for dinner.

So far today has been another great day! I meet up with a friend every Sunday morning for a walk, and since I didn't have time for my fall foliage hike yesterday, I asked him if he'd be up for a hike instead of our usual walk, and he agreed. So we had a great hike, and got a bit more exercise than the usual walk affords. It is a perfect day here, so it felt great to be out, and the foliage is beautiful right now.

Then I came home and tried a new recipe for lunch - a warm beet salad with goat cheese and a vinaigrette dressing, and it was delicious!! But now my fingers are all pink. :) I don't eat beets often, but I really like them.

I've been pretty productive with housework today, too. Now I have to do some "work" work, so I think I'll take my laptop outside where I can enjoy the weather a bit more.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekends, too!

Wow, a whole lot of talk of falling panties - wish mine were doing that!

Sounds like everyone is having a good weekend. I just got back from shopping to make cupcakes for my little one's 6th birthday party at school.

Got some nice steaks for the grill along with sweet potatoes and fresh grean beans for dinner - love when DH gets to cook for the day!

Good almost afternoon..
Got the costume cut out yesterday and will work on sewing it up while the games are on today. Got up and got a few loads of laundry done, cleaned up the kitchen and thought I may spend a little time outside raking while the sun is warming it up a bit.

Julie.. a fall foilage hike sounds great today. I noticed how quickly everything is changing in the last few days. Yes, fall is here. Think maybe I'll have the DGD do a leaf collage. Remember those, where you iron the leaves between two pieces of wax paper then mount them for a little kiddie project.

Maryann.. WOW! painting the bathroom. That is a nice accomplishment. I like to change things around but I have got to be the worst painter. Not to mention, I am sure it's my lack of patience. LOL
Good luck on getting things finished to sell.

DANCNGRL- absolutely a great incentive to keep yourself on track. Visual motivators are probably the best forms of incentive. Good luck on the engagement party food choices. I am sure you will do well.

HOORAY to half-marathons, dresses fitting, panties falling down, and burning calories through housework! :)

I got a great night's sleep, and am feeling much better today. Still a bit sniffly, but I'm hoping I've managed to ward off a full relapse of my cold. I've been pretty productive this morning already (cleaned the kitchen, did some laundry, took care of some other odds and ends). I'm going to spend the day running errands and doing some more housework. And either today or tomorrow I want to go for a hike. There are some hikes nearby with nice views of the fall foliage.

Good Morning,
You ladies are amazing. My busy (!) day so far has included starting a new book (The Island by Elin Hilderbrand), watching The Biggest Loser from last Tuesday on demand, and paying bills. Not exactly stressing my work-out muscles.

But I did paint the upstairs bathroom last night, and it looks good today. Also fixed a wonderful dinner of brown rice and veggies, which I learned today from Bob on BL that it was a vegan meal. So, good for me even though I didn't know it. Maybe I should look more closely at vegan cooking, since I can't eat dairy food. If I can address the protein with vegan food, it might be a good way to go.

I want to make the cupcakes! They really sounded fabulous! Is the recipe on the Biggest Loser site? But, I also want my panties to fall down, so maybe not.

Beautiful day out! Planning on raking leaves and painting. And making some trips to Goodwill. I will get this house in selling shape, doggone it, and maybe get myself in shape at the same time! Worthy goal!

Julie- Congrats on no snacking and getting stronger! You are making such amazing improvements :) Hope you are feeling better.

Rebecca - Hope your half-marathon went great! I am super impressed. Me and running just don't get along so anyone that can run gets major kudos in my book.

Tina - I want my panties to fall down. I have awhile to go before that happens though. Are you going to the Phillies game?

Connie - Welcome home!

Not too much going on with me. I have just been really busy with work and stuff. My brother's engagement party is tonight which will be challenging food wise. I already know what is being served and none of it is healthy except for the fruit. Basically, my plan is to be good during the day so that tonight I don't stress. I am also meeting my future sister-in-law at the gym in a few minutes.

Oh, so the dress that I bought for the wedding over Thanksgiving weekend....there is no more bubble in the back over the zipper!!! YAY!!! Its working! Its working! It isnt laying as flat as I would like it to meaning that it is still pulling a bit on the underlayer which you can totally see but it fits better than it did when I initially got it in the mail. Nothing like a final sale favorite designer dress that you never got to try on before buying to use as a motivator! I figure if I keep going at my current rate it will be perfect for when I need to wear it. It is a great reason why I cannot give up!

Ok, off to the gym!

Good morning.. I am off to a good start. The scale says I am down 1.8 since weigh-in, I need to go buy new underwear because they are falling down all day, House will be empty most of the day, Phillies will beat the Giants tonight..so yeah, Gonna be a good day.

Plan of action:
No sneaking sabbatoge foods while DD is out of the house.
Exercise during the game. Goal 60 minutes.
Concentrate on getting this costume done.

Hi Susan... geez, I actualy think it was warmer here today. Not tonight though. I finally gave in to turning the heat on. I try to hold off as long as possible, it just makes me realize that winter will be here in no time.
Good work on the oatmeal and getting on that treadmill.
Had pear-apple curry soup for lunch today and didn't think I was going to like it but it was actually pretty yummy.

OH, TGIF... honestly, I sometimes think Friday is even more horrible than Mondays. Such a busy day. Finally got home at 8:30, Whew... so glad that is over.
Looks like I will be sewing DD's Halloween costume this weekend. Don't know why I feel like that is a chore since I used to enjoy it.
Oldest DD is taking all the kiddies to boo at the zoo tomorrow so pretty much the day is mine. Definately gotta make some time for a walk and wait prepare for the game.

Happy Friday! I will be picking up my race number this afternoon for tomorrow's half marathon. My goal for this one is just to finish it with my uncle. No time goal for this event because this is his first time doing the half. So it's more important to enjoy the experience with him than it is to make a certain time goal.

Great job Susan on the healthy dinner! I made the recipe for the BL cupcakes last night. They were okay
but I think I would rather eat a smaller serving of a regular cupcake. It must be the junk food junkie in me!

It's a beautiful day today. It was 69 degrees when I took my daughter to school this morning, and she informed me it was "cold" this morning (LOL), and then I saw one of the fathers dressed in shorts walking through the parking lot with his arms crossed like he was freezing - it was 70 degrees by then. South Floridians are so funny when it gets a little chilly -- in the 60's they're dressing in coats, and by the 50's they're bundled in coats, scarves, gloves and no one will spend time outside - funny.

So, made a great under 400 calorie dinner last night - gotta start doing that more often.

Had my oatmeal for breakfast, and now I'm fueled and ready for the treadmill - hope everyone has a good Friday.

Eating pretty well, and exercising as well as I can. Still need to bust this stress, though.
I got a flu shot yesterday and I'm a little achey. Makes me want to hibernate and eat. Must stay busy, must stay busy! hahaha Not a problem, right?

Not bad day today and I felt really great having to keep tugging at my big ole underwear that kept creeping down. LoL.. It's those little changes that make you feel so accomplished.
I tracked my food today and feel that's one of those things that I find can make the difference between a good eating day and bad one.
Quite sure, it's not going to happen but waiting to see if my friend will be giving me some tickets for the Phillies game on Saturday. That would be so awesome.

Is it Friday yet??? Long week so far...

BUT today was a better day. I had a session with my trainer, and I am getting stronger - even my trainer was impressed with the weight I was able to lift. And then I did the ellyptical machine afterwards. And THEN I stuck to "no snacking after 9 p.m." for the first time!

Okay, off to bed!

I did better this past week then the week before but it still wasnt enough. I am up .4. I need to focus on keeping me journal everyday. I also have to try and get more exercise in.

Well, we are all off to a new start. Hope everyone has a nicely motivated week. Definately going to make a point of posting here everyday, this week and I don't have a problem doing a few vegan days. The exercise challenge is going to be just that, a real challenge... I love my comfy couch time. LOL

Good Morning,
Cool day, so I think I see a walk during lunch in my future!
I really appreciate how everyone on this team is so positive, helping each other through the rough spots.
I always watch the show on Saturday morning On Demand, so I don't know yet what happened last night. It's a great time to exercise, while the show is on. It motivates me!

Well, I will weigh in tomorrow and see how I do. I am really trying to focus on rest this week and so far it isn't going well. But I will try harder still. I did exercise during the show and that was fun.

Sorry for the gain, Julie. You can try tomorrow morning and see if it's better. That isn't cheating!

Julie - I have started having a minibag of popcorn on hand for those moments. It takes a long time to eat and is not bad for you if you buy the right kind.

Suz - WTG on posting. I know you are having a crazy busy week.

Honestly, I am just feeling sore! I went to a pole class and a chair class tonight and my body is super sore right now. I definitely did a lot of strength training tonight with some cardio mixed in. But the bottom line is that it was really fun!

I need to do some grocery shopping so that I have food for the rest of the week, but I didnt have time to do it today. When I did have time, I was hungry and I decided that was dangerous.

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday!

I had a gain this week. :( I think part of it is water retention, though. So I'm going to stay focused.

For this week, I'm going to really focus on not snacking after 9 p.m. Late night is when I get really bad (after eating healthy all day). I've noticed that not snacking after 9 can make the difference between maintaining and losing for me.
