Heading out to show a visitor (My dad's wife's sister) who is visiting from Phillipines and my dad's wife Costco today. There is a second store now open in Qld 1/2 drive from my place so my mother and I will be taking the girls out and having a girls day shopping (window shopping for me lol) we don't have a membership so will just go for a look to show my dad's wife and his sister.

It's my fourth time seeing costco first time was in Melbourne when it first came to Australia.

I'm working also on sticking to My No S goals / plan smoothie already had for breakfast so far so good!

Getting a lot of things done out at the shops that need doing and working on finding a good new hairdresser that's cuts hair well. Sick of my old one she's not so good anymore.

But I don't want to pay a premium for it either so here's to finding balance a expert precision haircut for a cheap price lol wish me luck.

This weekend i'm working on and in my garden lots to do. We've had a fair bit of rain and damp weather the sun is finally out with some nicer days. Pruning, weeding, planting seedlings I've grown, trimming etc... all need to be done.

working on getting back to going to a great butcher for his pastured organic chicken and eggs and other pastured organic meat. I used to go there a while back but as it's a 30 minute or so depending on traffic drive from our place I gave up.

But as I've thought about it more and more and have found out what's being fed to make up the organic eggs / chicken from the supermarket I have been buying.................. I've decided I have to start going back weekly to that butcher.

After all what price do you pay for your health and as Dr. Grundry says............."You are what the thing you ate ate" and he's so right.

working on tidying my office desk, organising some share market papers, cleaning out my kitchen fridge, changing bed linen, cutting some material and batting ready so I can hand sew some drink coasters while watching TV at night.

Also have to water the garden and want to watch a thing called vitamania that Ian recorded on TV to catch up with what he has seen that I have not. All about vitamins and supplements etc... sounds very interesting from what he has told me about it. Glad I have it to watch. You never know what you might learn.

today after being out I pruned my lemon, navel orange and mandarin trees my lime tree was okay so did not need pruning. I also cut back my grape vines to allow new growth for hopefully grapes at the end of the year. (ish)

Had a good time at many op shops today with my daughter Sarah, mother and my dad's wife. Actually achieved quite a lot.

Getting to the pool to do half an hour water walking. I can and must do it! I think without extra planned exercise as such even though I only eat 1200 calories or less daily. I think i'll end up staying around the same weight have to change things up a bit as my body maybe getting a bit too used to what I'm doing???

working on getting myself another couple of shares to add to my one shares that I have. Want to start to get a diversified share portfolio happening every $1000 I save up I want to put to adding to the share portfolio. Lots of research to do this afternoon. Looking at BOQ, MMJ, ZLD, GMA are some of the share codes I'll be looking at today for anyone that is interested.

At the moment we only have Cromwell shares and only shares on the ASX the share code for Cromwell is CMW.

Lots to learn and know about share investment. I learn lots about it every single day.

I'm still trying to work out my natural supplements. To try and explain what I'm want to work out here goes:

I'm basically trying to get some core ingredients in health supplements from brands that I know are not made with synthetics, but high dose strengths but by taking minimal different supplements and without overdosing on too high amounts. (Natural supplements can be and are very potent so you have to be careful and know what you are doing lol)

No naturopath I've ever seen in the past has been able to help me work it out either and I've been to a few.

I have a few core brands I know and trust not to be made with synthetics they are Bioceuticals, Metagenics, Fusion Health, Cardio's so within these brands trying to work out the best way to get these core supplements:

Curcumin (from Theracurmin which is basically Tumeric)

Boswellia Serrata - Frankinsense

Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Even though I eat and cook with fresh ginger many times a week you can't eat enough fresh ginger, to get the amount needed to help with inflammation that's why supplementation is required.

MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)

Salix Alba (WHITE WILLOW BARK) - White Willow bark is the bark from several varieties of the willow tree, including white willow or European willow, black willow or pussy willow, crack willow, purple willow, and others. The bark is used to make medicine.

Willow bark acts a lot like aspirin, so it is used for pain, including headache, muscle pain, menstrual cramps, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), osteoarthritis, gout, and a disease of the spine called ankylosing spondylitis.

Willow bark’s pain relieving potential has been recognized throughout history. Willow bark was commonly used during the time of Hippocrates, when people were advised to chew on the bark to relieve pain and fever.

Willow bark is also used for fever, the common cold, flu, and weight loss.

Glucosamine Sulfate now many supplements have it combined with chondrotin but this is not good for my blood type so need a good strong dose on it's own or with the other ingredients together. (Not easy to find)

Bromelain - The enzyme found in pineapple but once again you cannot eat enough pineapple in a day to get the amount needed of this.

I also take other supplements but these core ones are the ones I'd like to find substitutes for that contain high strength doses but without doubling up or over dosing. I'll still of course take my other supplements as well.

As I've said earlier no Naturopaths or homeopaths etc... are able to help me. I've been to a few and I'm too complicated for them lol lol lol

But on the plus side I've been about 8 years now myself managing hip osteoarthritis only naturally when I was told by a few doctors and specialists alike that I urgently needed two hip replacements.

I must be doing something right as I have not had hip replacements, take no medications from the doctor and live totally pain free most days unless I really over do it!

Today i'm working on sorting out my cutting matt I use for sewing and quilting in the sun it has warped a bit and after a quick look on utube I found how to fix it yay! I have some material to make some more covers for our dinning room chairs and a few other un finished projects that I must get to at some point.

I got my hands on a whole, pastured chicken and made my first batch of bone broth. It was ridiculously simple. I'm going to share a link to a recipe. What I did was similar. I used the following ingredients: whole, pastured chicken, unfiltered apple cider vinegar, celery, carrot, onion, garlic, fresh turmeric, fresh ginger, salt, pepper. I used organic ingredients.

Have to agree with you Paula! One really does need to be aware of what they're doing with nutritional supplementation. The only times that I've regularly supplemented, I've done so under the direction of a nutritionist. My doctors recommended that I supplement with calcium and magnesium years ago.

working on my natural supplements and the best ones to take and how to get the ingredients I need without over dosing and without thinking I have to go back to buying products from the "peoples chemist" in America. the shipping costs way too much!

I'm basically trying to get some core ingredients in health supplements from brands that I know are not made with synthetics, but high dose strengths but by taking minimal different supplements and without overdosing on too high amounts. (Natural supplements can be and are very potent so you have to be careful and no what you are doing lol)

No naturopath I've ever seen in the past has been able to help me work it out either and I've been to a few.

working on getting some iron done. Son's business shirts and pants for work.

Also working on look up a few more options regarding retirement planning. Am a member (paid member) of a site here in OZ called "simple savings" the lady that runs it and owns is Fiona Lippy from Buderim in the sunshine coast. So go back at look through many years of old posts and comments on the subject in that site for a start then will look at different shares etc...

That's what I'm working on today. How about you?

Let us know what you are working on each day.

Today for me 27/07

working on having my health smoothie for lunch before I go out. Then I won't be hungry while out.

Could go out earlier but will wait till after lunch it will give me more time to do what I need to do out without rushing to think I have to be home to have my smoothie for lunch, then just end up eating something out with my mother. Which is what I probably would've done in the past.

Have to stick to my goals. Have to do it! emoticon
