Its never too late to do the questions. .

My plan is to get off the holiday weight and then continue my healthy lifestyle. I want to keep up my exercise and healthy eating. One big goal I have is to get control over the grazing/snacking. A major step is to cut out the sugar.

I guess this too late for me to address since it's already January and I'm just now finding these questions. However, I have started pushing myself and got a stationary bike to I could do something at home besides my stairs and walking circles, etc. Something new.

Get my A1C test. My physical this year revealed a high glucose. They said it could be a one-off so they want to do an A1C to see 3 months of levels. I've never had that and I am worried that with my excess weight, I will be found to be diabetic now. I am nervous about the test results. I go in soon to get it done. So my accomplishment will be to get the test done and not procrastinate because I am nervous.

Doc changed my meds to something that causes weight gain; my plan is to be the exception, to not gain weight, to bump up the exercise, and to eat healthier. Pretty unspecific, but that's my plan.

i'm actually planning to take a few days off from my new way of eating. i passed Hallloween and Thanksgiving staying totally on the plan. I made substitutions and gave up all my favorites...and now really feel like taking a few days off, having some of my Christmas comfort foods. I will get right back on track with renewed vigor...from what i hear i will notice a difference in how i feel when i go back to my old ways..even for a day or two...
hoping someone gives me a treadclimber. lol!!!

Continue to do the things that supported both my weight loss and weight maintenance efforts ... manage stress, adequate hydration and sleep, nutrition and fitness tracking and daily weighing. During the weight loss phase I weighed weekly. Once I began my transition to maintenance I began weighing daily to better understand what normal weight fluctuations look like for me. For me, it has been very supportive. I realize that daily weighing does not support everyone.

I am taking time to find a new normal & adjusting to life with my Dad in heaven. I am going to use this season to write out my current & new goals for my health. I am also starting a new core body work out & adding in some exercise bike time. My own autoimmune issues require me to take things slow during stress & change so I am making that a priority. Barb

What can you do to make the most of the few weeks we have left in the year, that can help start the new year with a sense of accomplishment and some healthy habits already in the works? (Thanks to AMYJO1967) -- great question of the day AmyJo

Primarily get enough sleep every night - if I do that I can accomplish a lot.

Secondarily keep my eye on my nutrition and practice my new-found Beck Solution techniques to not overeat, stay on my food plan from the day before, and tolerate hunger in a reasonable way.

Secondarily routinize my indoor rowing training for a competition at the end of January.
Stay inside my exercise plan of weekly 3x @ walk/hike -- ST -- stretch -- 4x row

Since my work schedule is less harried (though hard to prove that with this week), I can spend time on personal planning for 2017, meditating to choose a Word of the Year for 20176, setting goals, etc. for me and for our 5% Winter 2017 Challenge. I am an emotional eater so am working on not succumbing to unhealthy and too large portions as a response to depression and sadness.

I, too, love the interim challenge at Casual Travelers. It helps me to stay accountable to me while waiting for the next challenge to begin.

By the way, I love the In-between challenge b/c I choose my own LTGL and I don't get messed up with any others. Seems to me I get frustrated so easily.
