Dear Blue,

You have so much wisdom about dealing with overeating and health. And you are acting on your knowledge because you're moving forward in weight loss and a healthy life style.
I appreciate you being here! :)

another thing to try is drinking water or tea. If I'm feeling that urge to eat when it shouldn't be time, I'll drink a bottle of water. Most of the time when I'm done with that the urge is gone. If it's not gone, I'll grab a healthy snack like celery or something like that.

In addition to changing the snacks you allow yourself there, perhaps that is a good place to put some motivational things. A reminder to ask if you're actually hungry, a reminder that "You bite it, you write it" to track any snack you feel obligated to have.

In addition, delaying tactics can sometimes work. Sit down, want a snack, tell the craving "Not right now. I just had lunch. Check the time and talk to me in half an hour."

If you do give in to the craving, try this - don't take it back to the computer. Get yourself a single serving, sit down at a dining location (table, counter) and eat it slowly, clean up, then go back to the computer. In other words - remove the connection between eating the snack and the computer, even if you can't fight the urge for the snack yet.

Try celery or carrot sticks with Peanut butter.

Healthy, good for you and quite filling.

So what do you do when everytime you sit down at your desk, you think you need a snack. You try to hard to stop it, and not grab everything, but you have no willpower....and you loose and end up eating something....

PS. I quit smoking, and can now taste everything...MmmMmMMmmmmfooooood.
