Could you have used any products with things like dextrose, malt, dextrin (may have MSG), autolyzed yeast, plant protein, hydrolized protein, just to name a few?
Did you use a personal care product which may have had something? I ask, because I had a miserable night. I fixed a fast food, as I'm not feeling great. I didn't see any wheat words that I knew. It had food starch, but I've read that now labels have to say if it's wheat. Well, there was something in there which made me ill. Still feeling pretty bad, and the headache is back. Oh, caramel coloring is another one of the questionables.
It's because we've played so fast and loose with our food that more and more people are getting autoimmune conditions and allergies and intolerances. Also, in an article I read this evening, it said that most of the stuff used to treat or "modify" food starch comes from China, and we know how careful they are there!
It's not always possible to control everything we eat, much as we try. For example, at Trader Joe's, there is a risotto in the frozen foods. Now, I'm a pretty dab hand at making it, but thought that it'd be nice to have for an emergency. Good thing we checked ingredients! There it was: wheat. Now, why in the world would you need to put wheat in a rice dish? Hmmmmm.
Hope you feel better. BTW, what we had was the Schwann's fire roasted vegetables, which is a fave of the guys. The things I added I know are GF. So much for trying to cut some corners.
