Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow? Yes

Do you have it where you see it often? I really don't have to see it, I just do it!!

Please tell us what works for you. I get up every morning (Monday-Thursday) & walk before I do anything else. If I put it off, work or something else will get in the way. I have a walking buddy and it's now a great habit that we both love. On the other days, I do other exercises...

Do you have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow?

Yes, I plan my next day food, exercise & important things to do first. I make a list with most important at the top & what is not finished is done the next day. I do this every evening. The store & grocery flyers come out 2 times per. week & I look at them immediately for what I will buy from the flyers, make that list & recycle the flyers immediately. With any bills that come in the mail I put in one spot together where I keep my house keys so I can check when I go out if something needs to be paid.

Do you have it where you see often,
yes, I keep the list with me where ever I am & at home the list is close to where I am sitting to remind me.

At night I make a list of what needs to be done the next day. I move dinner from the freezer to the fridge, make sure I have clean workout clothes ready.

Win Tomorrow! Many of these are such habit for me now that they require little thought.

Get water bottles ready - My water bottle is never far from my side all day long.

Have healthy snacks ready - Even some healthy snacks are not a good idea for me right now. I have a Mega Power snack mix that I love, but 1 oz. = 150 cals. and 1 oz. is never enough!

Plan 3 meals for tomorrow - In the past I have usually planned dinner, but have been very loose with breakfast & lunch. will need to work on being more specific. Also, I don't always eat 3 meals a day every day.

Have workout clothes and sneakers ready - I have a couple of special places just for my workout clothes and I just bought myself some new sports bras as a treat.

Schedule tomorrow's workout in on calendar - My fitness schedule is already plugged into my calendar on my phone/computer so I see it first thing every morning.

Bedtime - 11 PM lights out 11:30 PM I have been falling just short of 8 hours sleep. I'm more of a night owl and feel I get some of my best sleep during the last 2 hours of my bedtime. With the onset of shorter day light hours I'm hoping I can stretch my 7 hr. average into 8 hrs.

Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow?
Yes, I make double or triple of the breakfast or lunch items so the rest of the week I only have to grab and go. I get up one hour earlier so I don't have to rush and spend my time on spark people on my nutrition, reading my goals, and planning my days meals and my family's meals.
Do you have it where you can see it? It is on my daily plan on my phone.
Please tells us what works for you? Planning the meals and snacks for the day early in the morning with extra time so I don't rush.
No questions now, maybe later.

Slow and steady wins the race, grant me the patience I need to persevere and make it through.

I make groupings of meal ingredients that I eat often so that I can plug them into my nutrition tracker when I am in a rush. I have a notebook filled with recipes that fit my Atkins Plan. I cook a little extra so that it can be one of my meals for the next couple of days. I keep a variety low carb high protein veggies on hand for "fillers" in my meal plan and for variety. I always have fresh organic spinach or organic mixed greens on hand as well as a ranch dressing with less than 2 grams of carbs per TBS. I have stevia in the raw which is all I use, and I use it sparingly.
I make sure we have bottled water in the house in 16 oz bottles for easy access to take when we walk, go picnicking, fishing, or any long trip to avoid the temptation of bottled sugar-laden drinks.

I don't have a lot of routines. I am going to start planning a day ahead about what exercise I am going to do and when I am doing it. Morning exercise works the best for me and that is what I will plan on most days.
Meal planning is a routine for me and I will continue that. I keep a good supply of staples so that I can plan meals easily without shopping every day. I read magazines to get new recipes and try new things, as well as preparing old favorites.
Counting calories does help me with dieting, but I really don't like doing it. I also sometimes go over the allotted number of calories and I don't feel guilty because I also go by my hunger level. I do think my body tells me when I need food and when I do not. I just need to pay attention to that.
But analyzing what I ate on days when I feel satisfied and have stayed within my calorie limit, gives me clues as to what works for me. And, of course, days when I have eaten to much, I can sometimes see a pattern, too.

There are so many fun ways to exercise, don't waste time on the other ones. Enjoy healthy, good food and skip the rest.

Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow? I like routine, it does not make me stressed. I eat the same thing almost every morning for breakfast and lunch. Supper has to be something my hubby will eat and many times I cook 2 different meats for supper (eg. salmon for me and sausage for him).

Do you have it where you see it often? I try and do things the same time every day and if I need to change times I have to keep myself open to flexibility. I post to spark tracker pages and I post to fb every night before my walk. I can't do a list it stresses me out if I don't get it done and then I am on a downhill slide!

Please tell us what works for you. I stick to a routine, I eat pretty close to the same thing for breakfast and lunch--changing it up every once in a while. I track my nutrition, fitness, and other goals, tracking keeps me accountable as well as weighing myself first thing EVERY morning! Accountability works the best for me. Seeing the changes in my body lately is also a HUGE motivator for me!

I am a routine kind of person. I get up in the morning have coffee, shower, and get ready for work. My husband packs my lunch and fills my water bottles (he's a great husband). This last week he fixes my breakfast. I plan dinner during the day by what I know I have on hand at home or I stop at the store and get what I don't have. I go home make dinner and eat. Then I get my clothes ready for the next day and get my lunch ready for my husband to pack. Then I brush my teeth and hair. Put on my night creams and get other things ready for the next day. I don't have it written down anywhere as I have been doing this for the last 5 years.

I am working on doing better at a Tomorrow Check List.

I do make sure at the beginning of each week to stock the fridge at work with healthy breakfast, snack, and lunch meals.

I need to improve on planning dinner meals. I sometimes will meal prep dinners on Sundays to get me through the work-week; I will be more committed to meal prep going forward!

I need to plan activities and exercise better. I have a workout buddy and we commit to 3X a week at the gym. I want to improve that to 4X. and start to incorporate other activities ... take a walk, go bowling, play 9-holes after work, chores in the garden!

One of my problems is that at this stage in my life I do not want to be regimented I make sure I drink plenty of fluids, keep healthy food around, but decide when it is time for a meal what I feel like at the moment. I eat out VERY seldom so I am in control of my meals and not grabbing on the run

Just what to clean. I have quite the cold and KNOW I want to do exercise, mostly walking for 10 to 20 mins for 4 to 5 times, and add in some yoga.

Food wise, I have several things here to eat that I enjoy (comfort foods) in the RIGHT serving size, and I work around the calories so I AM in range.

Do you have it where you see it often?
B4 I go to bed I put up a check off list on my dry erase board. When I am up in the AM I do a more detailed one on my phone. I MAY NOT make the items, but its nice to see what I DID Do. I do NOT worry about what I do not do. Positive attitudes make us, not break us.

My routine always involves exercise first, unless it's a rest day or I have an early appointment.

I've had to adjust things with the food prep because I can't drive now. And getting around with a broken ankle has meant I'm not completely on top of what we need, but hubby is willing to go to the store multiple times!

It works for me to be on here, track and be aware of what I have scheduled (meetings, class, appointments etc).

Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow?

Yes! Part of my daily routine at night is to review my day based off my To-Do list of the day. I check off what I did that day and carry over what I didn't get done that day. In the morning, I add more to the list!

Do you have it where you see it often?

Yes! I leave it on the dining room table where I can read it throughout the day!

Please tell us what works for you.

Oh gosh! My day varies based on my priorities of my To-Do list and those 'unannounced' events that seem to present themselves at the worst possible moment! I do go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I have a Total Gym to use when I am pressed with many errands. At the moment, I am doing a lot with 'Construction' as I noticed a few deck boards would not screw down tightly. Upon removing said deck boards, I learned the foundation was rotted so I had to tear it all down and replace it all..!

Do you have questions Team Members here can answer for you?

Being I am Deaf, I look for 'Penpals' .. someone to 'chat' with as in SP mail or email. Life can get somewhat lonely with no sounds as I am recently Deaf at 59 years old!

Plan for success - do your homework today so you succeed tomorrow.

Check List

Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow?

Yes

Do you have it where you see it often?

Yes It is on my Iphone set with reminders.

Please tell us what works for you.
The best thing that works for me is eating my planned meals daily and logging my diet and exercise. I have also committed to 3 exercise classes and 2 yoga classes per week. In addition, I added on to my daily walk with the dog. I will get at least 10,000 steps per day!
I also went premium and will log in with my spark coach daily.

Yes

Do you have it where you see it often?

It's not really written down but I have been on this journey for a while so I know the steps I need to take to have a successful week.

Please tell us what works for you.

Planning my week. Cooking for the week ahead. Religiously tracking my food and exercise. Coming to the Sparkpeople boards for inspiration and encouragement.

Do you have questions Team Members here can answer for you?

Not right now but I have every confidence that I could ask and would receive help if I needed it.

Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow? - Daisy and I take a walk first thing every morning so I make sure to have my walking clothes in another room. That way I don't have to turn on lights and wake my husband.

Do you have it where you see it often? - I have a sitting room that's just for me. That's where my exercise equipment is and while some of it is tucked away, the things I use daily are readily available.

Please tell us what works for you. - I try to schedule my gym time around the classes I like to take. That way I know which day I'm going and what time.

Do you have questions Team Members here can answer for you? - No questions.

win tomorrow checklist
Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow?
Much of my winning the next day is planning my foods. I usually do that two weeks in advance when I grocery shop. I am thinking about packing as much of it for my family as possible on the grocery shopping weekend (individual servings of grapes, carrots, chips for kids, etc) and see if that will cut down the morning rush to leave for school/work. I leave my gym bag in the car with two or three sets of workout clothing (depends on how much I sweat), wash all of it on the weekend and take it directly back to my car. I have an alarm set to clean the catbox and go to bed at 9pm.

Do you have it where you see it often?
This is all pretty much in my head and developed over the years of "aww, I forgot xxxx" on the way to work or school

Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow?
My daily routine varies everyday depending on work and school schedules. But I always plan out the next day the night before. I get the kids clothing ready, my lunch ready (my husbands too if he needs one) and get items out for dinner to thaw if needed.

Do you have it where you see it often?
I have a desk calendar that all appointments and schedules get written down on. My game plan for a healthy life I keep in a separate note book that lives in my purse so i can carry it and add to it as needed.

Please tell us what works for you.
I watch what I eat. I have found that if I avoid the things I really like I will give in a binge so I still get my treats but make sure I add them into my daily food totals. Lots of fruits and veggies. With fall coming there will also be lots of crock pot soups and stews.I also realize everyday will not be ideal and oops's will happen, so I learn to forgive myself and move on, not beat myself up with guilt and avoid things.

I do. I've been eating a moderate carb, high protein diet for sometime now combined with the No S philosophy of 3 meals a day, snacks, seconds, and sweets only on weekends and "special" days.

I also shop for groceries frequently so that freggies remain fresh and I plan my meals only a few days ahead.

What do I do that helps me? Grocery shopping every few days so the veggies in the fridge are fresh. By keeping a variety of veggies I am able to whip up meals easily and feel better knowing I am using lots of veggies.

Jeannie (BLESSOME), the check list is a suggested tool to help you prepare. It is not required to participate in the Challenge. Once we take off, points are given only for exercise minutes and LTGL participation. We've never been given points for participating in these getting ready exercises.

T (7-Daily-Tasks), I've participated (often as a leader) for 13 seasons and this is the first time I've seen that question. That alone makes me smile!

Here are a few things that leaders on my team appreciate when our members do them:

1) Carefully READ the beginning post of each thread that explains what it is and how to participate, Team Mails and communication from leaders, and follow through on their requests using the given guidelines.

2) Communicate:
.... a) Ask us if you have a question or are confused.
.... b) Send a leader a pm, if you're going out of town and not sure of Internet access, are sick for more than a couple days, preparing for surgery or a hospital stay, dealing with the death of a loved one, etc. In many of those cases, a member can be excused from posting points or weight rather than marked in danger of default when they fail to check in. But we need to be notified by pm (not posted on your Spark Page where we might not see it), and usually in advance. It's really hard on us when members just quietly disappear without a heads up and don't respond to our messages. If privacy is a concern, just mention that in your message. On my team, leaders don't share things like that with the team unless 1) we see it posted publicly on the team or their SparkPage or 2) they ask us to.

3) Participate. We love to see comments in the chat room, Team Wall and some of the optional threads (unless marked no chat please).

4) Post points daily if possible. It makes things so much easier on the CL, helps us place higher in landing order and makes the format easier to alter for the person posting after you. There are times posting combined points are necessary though and we'll take them.

5) Be a cheerleader! Encourage other teammates both on the team and on their SparkPages. Many leaders (at least on my team) don't get to do as much of that as we'd like. Besides, the more members doing that, the more supported our members feel. It always bothers me when I visit a teammate's Spark Page and the only comments there are a few from one or two leaders.

6) Share the FUN! Look for the positives, the joys in the journey, the inspirational quote that got your attention and share that with team as well as your struggles. It's so easy to get focused on the obstacles and challenges and start thinking of the whole process as a chore. Leaders love it when members help us keep things upbeat. Sometimes we are the ones who need that reminder.

Thanks again for asking!

Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow? Yes.

Do you have it where you see it often? No, I don't write that down, either. I do keep a pool schedule handy, though.

Please tell us what works for you. My schedule is so erratic that I plan for the whole week of tomorrows on my day(s) off. Home meals I prep for the whole week, Work meal items I take to work in bulk so they're there when I need them. I keep a bag in the car for the days that I can go swimming.

Do you have questions Team Members here can answer for you? Just 1:

Will we be required to do a "Win Tomorrow Checklist" in order to post points?

Thanks!

Do you already have a daily routine that includes preparation for a successful tomorrow? Saturdays is my rest day since we observe the Sabbath. Sometimes we do go on camping trips or walks or hikes over the weekend. Sometimes even vacations. I do keep fruits and veggies in stock continually with some of my favorites so I am not attempted to much.

Do you have it where you see it often? I use the SP app alot and its all in my head my plans for the day but I am now trying to write it in my daily journal so I can have a daily check list. Write down my favorite recipes I have made and we liked.

Please tell us what works for you. I like on the SP app that they remind you to eat and track breakfast lunch and dinner.
