Here is the basic El Cheapo Cold/Iced Coffee recipe (can drink at room temp as well) that I posted on the Welcome page.

Use 3Tbsp (+) reg-grind coffee per 2C Rm-temp water. Cover at let sit in fridge 12-24 hrs. Wah-lah! Use coffee ice cubes 4 best results if you want it iced and not diluted.

The results are smooth, as cold water does not leach the acids from the beans/grounds.

For the GRAM-folks out there, that's about 15g to 6 ounces. If I'm wrong, tell me. I have yet to take my use of grams out of the oven and use it regularly elsewhere in the kitchen.

When I'm looking for stout coffee, I do 1 heaping Tbsp per 4 oz hot water.

Just saying. I normally zap the mix for hot coffee to 185F, then I pour it back and forth with another mug 4-6 times. I then use a fine-mesh strainer for the final pour into the now-preheated mug. Tada! Fresh, hot, tastes like old-fashioned boiled coffee and easier cleanup. I've even done this with styrofoam cups at work instead of drinking the watered down brown coffee-colored water they made for us.

Keep the peace. Vigilance!
