when i go to a fast food place OR a store and i see how rude some customers are and i remind myself that i do not want to be serving people ALLLLLL my life. it's fine for some but its just not for me.

also.... "success is my option"

one thing that i have learned over 5 years of college is that going to class for me is an obligation and the motivation is the grade. i pride myself in high grades and always feel that if i missed a class, i would miss something important. when i was sick with the flu 3 weeks ago, i hated that i couldn't attend a couple of classes. but, there are days when it is tough to do homework, that is my downfall. i am a last minute person and do very well. guess leaving it to the last min and stressing brings the best out in me...LOL. good luck ATR1983. just look at it like your weight loss goal and you can make it!

For me competition helps me stay motivated. I have friends in school and we share our grades with each other so I have a silent competition with myself to try and get the best grade. That motivates me to stay on my toes in class and not only that but my real interest in what is going on in my class. It helps to study something of interest to yourself!

LOL, I always feel like going to class. It's my computer at home, LOL!!

I stay motivated by remembering the end goal.

I am a count down kind of person. When I am on the treadmill I think 20% done half way done etc. Today marks nine weeks to the end of a long 6yr quest. Started the bachelor program 1/9/02 and 5/10/08 I will walk with my Masters. My baby girl is my motivation she can not wait to sound off the fog horn I promised she could have at the graduation. Weightloss is an on again off again issue. School my motivation has been fear of failure...

my mom taught me the 15 minute rule. you can do anything for 15 minutes. so like with your homework...work on it for 15 minutes then get up and take a small break, then come back for another 15 minutes.

but you must make yourself go to class. my husband is a professor...and what he teaches in class is not from the book. so when test time comes the questions could be from the book, the slides, or anything he has said in class. so just remind yourself that you will be out of school in just a couple of years. then you will be wishing you were back in school.

How do you keep yourself motivated to go to class and to do homework esp. when you don't feel like it?
