Hi Ladies:

I wanted to wait until the absolute last date of the month to weight in and the results are....4 pounds lost! With only 1 pound to go, I will DEFINITELY take that!!

I never shared my weight, stats, size..etc. because I was embarrassed, but I am not anymore!!

I started this journey @ 190 lbs. size 16, 36 inch waist...

I am ending it @ 131 lbs. size 8 ( emoticon ) 27 inch waist!

It is very bittersweet for me to leave the group now, but with only 1 lb. to go, I think I can leave now and do it alone.

This has been a difficult and emotional journey for me... emoticon Thanks to all who inspired me and pushed me thru those many plateaus and indulgent eating days! Especially GODDESSOFHOME!!! emoticon

I wish you all success in your journey and hope you all have a blessed and wonderful New Year. Who knows, maybe I'll peak in on you guys on the January side emoticon

Didn't do too well this month. Looking back I see that I have skipped exerciseing about 10 days per month since I started in October. Also my daily caloric intake has increased by 300 since October. So I need to improve there. Will have to eat like a hostage as PHATABULOUS would say. I would like to be down to 218 by March 1st. It's possible I think, but only if I work hard.

I have been so busy that I completely forgot to weigh in. Did so this morning with great results!! I have lost more than I planned to all month. I hope I can keep it up. I am really watching my calories since I twisted an ankle and haven't been able to get all my exercise time in. Need to take it easy another day or two then hopefully back to normal!!

So I let myself have some fun over Christmas. I didn't go overboard or anything but I did eat what I wanted to. I didn't loose anything last week, but I didn't gain anything either. It just helps me know that when I am all done loosing weight that I will be able to maintain.

Second Goal: Loose 57 lbs by June 1, 2010... GOAL MET APRIL 3, 2010!

Forth Goal: Loose the 35 lbs I gained due to surgery and chemo!

Another bad week, remind me not to set a goal for the same time as TOM! I have been very busy and haven't exercised this week I have been okay on my eating but still ate things I shouldn't like pasta and cream sauce, maybe next week will be better after the wedding is over! :) re adjusted my goals for the rest of the month!

I think I found a bit of balance this month, but as a previous poster stated, really need to work on family gatherings and making healthier food choices. I still got in almost every single run, but I didn't totally go overboard with cardio. My eating has been really wonky this month, with budget restraints affecting groceries (or lack thereof) hence food choices limited. Also, just been emotional eating again too. So, here's to making progress in January!




My plan for this month is to find balance. I always go to extremes - overtraining and obsessing about food, or resting and overindulging in food. This approach seems to set me back about 2 pounds a month. I am going to follow my running program, and eat about 2000 calories a day, hopefully this will give me a loss of 1 pound a week. Work hard everyone, and we will keep each other motivated together!

Actual weight Monday, December 7: 162.4 (down 3.6 pounds this week! I got in all of my workouts, ate really well all week, and managed to attain a good level of balance. Now, the hard part of maintaining my loss and making more progress. It would be neat to see me go down again, even a pound, in the second week of this challenge. This is when I usually slip up and back slide, so I have to stay strong and get this done.)

These monthly challenges have really motivated me. Even though I've been eating like a hostage these past couple of days, I want to be a total of 20lbs lighter by the new year.

Well, I realized that I had to get Christmas present wrapped, so I went home today. Decided to go ahead and weigh in. Expected a small loss or even a gain. I am afraid, though, that I have lost some muscle due to not working out like I was. OF course, with boys in different parts of the hospital, I have been running back and forth quite a bit!

I am not going to change my goal for next week! I have exceeded my Dec. goal, and will happily work to maintain that as I help my boys through their healing process.

One of my boys, my 16yo step-son, will be coming home tomorrow. My son, 14, will be working a little longer on inpatient physical therapy. He is getting stronger every day! THank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers!

The biggest thing last week was I stayed on my diet and did not stray. Didn't even want to. Exercise wasn't the best as other weeks due to the on-set of a cold. Yet, I did exercise just not as hard as other weeks.

And the biggest surprise was --- I meet my goal for the month. emoticon

So now --- I plan on exercising a bit harder (still have a cold). I WILL celebrate on Christmas and exercise/diet whatever I gained to finish off the year at my goal.

(It was a tough and grueling week for me - diet-wise. I watched the scale creep up (in fear) and adjusted my diet and exercise but still the scale slowly went up. I just wanted to chuck the diet and find something else. UNTIL!!!!!! This morning on my official weigh in. OMG!!!!!!! I lost. I lost. I lost. yeah yeah yeah --- I know that daily weigh-ins aren't the best --- but when the scale is there... well the temptation to get on it is TOO great.)

It seems as though I yo-yo during the week. I weigh in great and then in fear, no matter how well I am doing --- the scale creeps slightly up - stays there and then bam -- official weigh-in day --- I loss. Highly emotional. So, yes, I feel for all of you because I'm going through it too.

All in all --- I was very good last week. Exercised, eat well - with one day off.
I can with a sigh of relief pat myself on the back because I lost a pound and a wee bit more....

I'm not able to weigh, so I don't know how I am doing there, but I thought I would check in with an update on my boys.

Both have moved from the main hospital to the rehabilitation center at the same hospital. We don't have any expected release dates as of yet.

14yo: has had surgery for a broken left femur (thigh bone), has a broken right humerous (upper arm), as well as other injuries. His main challange is working on walking. Can bear weight on left leg, but not at all on right arm, making it impossible for him to use crutches, walker, etc. He also has some mild memory loss and they are checking on some inner ear issues.

16yo: broke both bones in lower right arm (had surgery forr that), broken hip, making weight bearing impossible on right side, small brain bleed that has led to some impairment and memory loss. His biggest challenges are the brain injury (implications not yet clear) and being unable to bear weight on his right hip.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers! Hope to be home soon and able to get back into some normal routines!

I worked out alot, but also ATE ALOT....LOL!!! I'll consider the 1 lb. weight loss a blessing emoticon

It seems as though I yo-yo during the week. I weigh in great and then in fear, no matter how well I am doing --- the scale creeps slightly up - stays there and then bam -- official weigh-in day --- I loss. Highly emotional. So, yes, I feel for all of you because I'm going through it too.

All in all --- I was very good last week. Exercised, eat well - with one day off.
I can with a sigh of relief pat myself on the back because I lost a pound and a wee bit more....

(It was a tough and grueling week for me - diet-wise. I watched the scale creep up (in fear) and adjusted my diet and exercise but still the scale slowly went up. I just wanted to chuck the diet and find something else. UNTIL!!!!!! This morning on my official weigh in. OMG!!!!!!! I lost. I lost. I lost. yeah yeah yeah --- I know that daily weigh-ins aren't the best --- but when the scale is there... well the temptation to get on it is TOO great.)

already met 5 pds sometime in november, doing weightlifting with aerobics, and if muscle weights more than fat, then stepping in front of the mirror is better than on the scale emoticon

My plan for this month is to find balance. I always go to extremes - overtraining and obsessing about food, or resting and overindulging in food. This approach seems to set me back about 2 pounds a month. I am going to follow my running program, and eat about 2000 calories a day, hopefully this will give me a loss of 1 pound a week. Work hard everyone, and we will keep each other motivated together!

Actual weight Monday, December 7: 162.4 (down 3.6 pounds this week! I got in all of my workouts, ate really well all week, and managed to attain a good level of balance. Now, the hard part of maintaining my loss and making more progress. It would be neat to see me go down again, even a pound, in the second week of this challenge. This is when I usually slip up and back slide, so I have to stay strong and get this done.)

I have been so busy that I completely forgot to weigh in. Did so this morning with great results!! I have lost more than I planned to all month. I hope I can keep it up. Starting weight Monday, November 30: 209 (I just used my Nov 23rd weight in because my scale was acting up BIG TIME.

Actual weight Monday, December 7: 207.5 AND still not so sure. I am purchasing a new scale this Thursday. My scale jumps up and down in matter of seconds with out me even moving. CRAZY.. But what ever loss it is I am happy this week because I was only able to maintain my eating habits 95% of the time and my workouts maybe 45% because of my trip to NYC to be my Grandma that was at the hospital after having a stroke emoticon Well thanks God She is back home and I am back on track.
Also, I know that I usually gain 1 or 2 lb on my first week of each CLX phase and I just started Lean Phase this week... emoticon OUCH EVERYTHING HURTS

PHATABULOUS - I have the same Yo Yo but mine seems to be the week before my TOM! That has helped me knowing when the cravings will come that causes the YoYo, so I am prepared for it! :)

These monthly challenges have really motivated me. Even though I've been eating like a hostage these past couple of days, I want to be a total of 20lbs lighter by the new year.

Due to family crisis, I will be unable to continue with the challenges at this time. My two sons, 16 and 14, were in a severe car accident on Tuesday Dec. 8 and are recovering in the hospital. They have some broken bones, and both are expected to make a full recovery. They have a long way to go with physical therapy and it will be hard, but we are blessed to have our two boys with us! I will try to check back when I am able. Keep up all of your hard work!
