Today I want to break 200 to make my mom proud of me. Yesterday, as I was walking around the house (because of the rain), she asked me why I was doing it. When I explained my goals to her, she was very encouraging and said she was proud of me. I know she is always proud of me, but to hear her be so encouraging, without any judgement, motivates me to keep going.

Linda, we have similar motivation - pre-diabetes. My doctor did not put me on meds...yet. I was told to lose weight. So here I am.

Another motivation is that I want to were the smaller size clothes in my closet. Some of which I wore about 6 months ago. emoticon

As I said before diabetes & heart disease runs in our family. When my blood work came back this time Dec.6th. I came back pre diabetic.( fasting sugar 111) That was my awa moment. I have lost 41 lbs. since then & my sugar is down to 106. He had be on meds for pre diabetes but I kept feeling lite headed so the doctor took me off the meds. Maybe I might have to go back on but I will do whatever it takes from becoming diabetic. I know in my heart the weight loss will start slowing down I will be lucky if I can drop 5 lbs. a month but I made a promise to myself. Once I leave a ville I'm not going back. Also I would emoticon to wear a blouse tucked in!!! I haven't been able to do that in eons. I would like to have my self esteem back. emoticon I believe if I can enter into Onederland 190ville, I will regain it! emoticon emoticon

My biggest goals are for health reasons. I want to avoid weight-caused diabetes, high BP, any heart issues etc. I feel far too self concious when seen by others and want to be able to run and play and move easier.
And while it would be really nice to fit into those size 6 jeans again, I am pretty happy with the 10lb start Ive got so far!

I want to go out and not feel so self-conscious, like everyone is staring at the "fat girl". I want people to notice me for me and not because I am overweight. I want to love my body and feel comfortable in it, no matter the size. I want to live longer and be more active. I want to shop in any store and not just the plus size section. I want to love being me!

Today's motivation is definitely SELF-CONFIDENCE.
I want to have more self-esteem when I start the new job soon. Standing in front of a new bunch of teenagers and teachers, nothing like that to be aware of those extra pounds.

I guess I feel like Selina. Diabetes & heart disease runs in our family. When my blood work came back this time my sugar was high. The doctor gave me 3 months to lose weight to bring the sugar down. I have till the end of March. Also I would emoticon to wear a blouse tucked in!!! I haven't been able to do that in eons. I would like to have my self esteem back. I believe if I can lose about 30 lbs. I will regain it!

I don't want to end up like many family members who fought high blood pressure or diabetes.
The fact that I ahve already had a gallbladder removal really stings, I can+ believe I let myself down so much. It's crucial to change my lifestyle.

emoticon There are many reasons why we want to lose weight and break 200. I'm sure most of your lists are as long as mine.
But we often have to remind ourselves of them. Whatever they are - all kinds of health issues, family, looks, energy, buying the regular size clothes, please come on in and share. Even the tiniest reason sometimes hits the spot and makes you want to workout right away. Think of everything that will improve in your life when you achieve your goals, all the daily situations that would be easier.
