Lisa- That is awesome!! My ring used to be pretty snug at my max weight, but now it has actually fallen off when my hands were cold a couple of times. I know I will need to have it resized when I am at goal. Before you know it yours will be sliding off. It is amazing how these little things really make a difference and help us stay motivated!

I do not go to bed with any jewelry on - including my wedding band. Well, last night was the first night I could take my band off without having to wet my hand first!! The fact I could even wear them again was a huge step a couple of months ago, and this is icing on the cake :)

AHEPBURN1- WTG on double the workout! Keep it up!

Lisa- That is a hard one! You are amazing for doing so well with it! I, too, struggle with my eating so much around that time.

My subtle challenge was pushing through the tiredness this afternoon. I needed a nap after a only 5 hours last night, but I knew if I did that, I would probably go to bed again late tonight thus starting a vicious cycle. So I went in to lie down and I had a few things to put away off my bed, so I started working on that and then one project lead to another and I got a lot done and will sleep great tonight because of it :). Typically I just move the stuff off the bed until later so that was exciting to have double the benefits!

Nice job on the walks, ladies! My subtle change was my ability yesterday to not give in to my PMS cravings and maintain my food in my calorie range. And so far, so good today as well.

For the past few months, a staple in my workout routine has been going out to the park to walk. Our park has a nice walking trail that is 1.5 miles, so I've been walking 2 laps. Lately, though, I've noticed that getting easier, so yesterday I stepped it up to 3 laps. I'm a little sore today, but I'm glad I pushed myself. :)

Lisa- You are right. We are all very different. Our likes and dislikes and our bodies are all so different so we just have to find ways to make changes that we can live with for the rest of our lives.

Jen- WTG on the 2 lbs lost! Great job tracking your food! It is interesting to see that we don't realize how much is going into our bodies without tracking. Water is so important and will help you so much on your weight loss journey. They have all natural tea powders you can add to you water. You might try drinking one cup more than you have been. Add one more cup each week until you reach at least 8 cups. I am pretty sure there are some articles on how to get more water in here on spark. If you want me to see if I can find them, let me know.

Hello everyone. I'm new here, just got my baby's three month pictures. He's looking cute, and me...well not so much..hahaha. HOWEVER, I'm here and I just spent a solid week sparking all my food. No wonder I've gained weight. I felt like i wasn't eating "all that much" cuz I was grabbing only a hamburger at teh fast food joint or eating m&ms instead of dinner, but I was up to about 3,000 calories a day without realizing it. After writing it down I had my first weight loss.

Only 2 lbs but I'll take it! I'll never fit in exercise right now and I HATE water, but I'm happy with my subtle change of writing down what I eat and being more aware.

Thanks for all the posts. They are inspiring.

Lisa- That is awesome that you turned down an unhealthy food and chose to have a good day with your food today!

My subtle change for today was having a positive attitude about tracking my food, getting fitness and drinking my water. I struggle especially with tracking my food and often get a little grumpy about it so hopefully I can keep an open mind up this week and just keep up with the tracking because I know it helps me SOOO much!

My subtle change today was to be able to say "No" when my hubby asked if I wanted anything from McDonald's. I never have the will power to resist their fries, but I did it. I know tomorrow will be a tough day foodwise - going to my mom's for beer can chicken, french onion mashed potatoes, apple spice bread, etc...and probably a couple of beers during football. I can keep my portions good for that, but I didn't want to be "bad" 2 days in a row when it is unnecessary. The dinner tomorrow is more important to me than drive thru fast food!

Lisa- WTG on getting back into your belt! I have learned to love exercise by trying new exercises out often and keeping my mind open. If I don't love it, I don't make myself do it again for a very long time. I like a variety and get bored with the same stuff all the time though so I am sure that is why.

I'm jealous - I wish I loved ANY exercise. Actually, I love walking...but at my pace with my iPod in, and I just can't find a time to do that.

I actually just made it into my own belt this morning!!! It felt very good to hand my hubby back his belt :)

I'm drinking more water without a problem. I never ever use to drink water and now I drink at least 8 cups a day.

It's a lot easier to make healthy food choices.

And my clothes are starting to fit a little loose.

The strange thing is that I like the taste, makes me feel good but makes me have to use the bathroom almost immediately & makes me cold! So I know my body is thirsty for it. No idea why i have such an aversion to it.

My subtle change for the week: I just got back from the beach, and felt comfortable getting into a bathing suit. I actually spent an hour in the ocean. I still have about 30 lbs to go before I get to my goal, but getting those first 10 or so out of the way really made me feel more confident. Hope everyone had a great Labor day!

KADENVEGAMAMA- Those are all awesome changes! Thanks for sharing a wonderful example of why we are working so hard to make these changes! The way we feel, our attitude, our influence, everything can be affected by the changes we make to be healthier.

PINKYPEACE- Congratulations on losing an inch and dropping another notch on your belt!

RUBY_TUESDAY21- Thanks for helping PINKYPEACE set up the ticker!

LADYBUG7157- LOL. I am glad you have that kind of comfort with your body now!

MISSJENEE- WTG on dropping 2 dress sizes!

I am amazed at all the new ways to add fitness in or find new workouts that I enjoy so I can have variety. Today we went geocaching and I was able to get quite a bit of walking in with it.

LOL, I just thought of a subtle change... I took off my dress from work and have been cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry in my slip. I've actually been loving wearing tank tops, shorts, and even being naked just around the house more often. I want to let my skin show! I have never been the kind of person who is comfortable naked, even when I was thinnner, but lately, I just don't like wearing clothes anymore!

Hi PINKYPEACE, and congrats! I just got to go down a notch on mine, too, which was pretty awesome since I seem to lose weight around my midsection so s...l...o...w...l...y, so it was a big deal to me. :)

Anyway, when you go to edit your Sparkpage, there is a box at the bottom where you can set up the weight loss ticker, and choose whether to post it with your messages. Hope that helps :)

I am going back to college to finish my degree in elementary education, and I feel with this website I have more self-esteem to do anything these days!!!

P-KAY92- I love this site too! I am glad you had a good day yesterday!

FRACTALMYTH- emoticon I am so excited for you to find a way to drink your water. So many people struggle with that one and I am glad you found something that works for you! That is such a creative idea too!

MILLER2909- Isn't it amazing how making healthier choices make us feel so much better after such a little amount of time!

GMLUND- Not only is homemade food usually tons better for you, but it also tastes so much better too! That is great that you are feeling more energy!

KARRLEY- Walking is such a great way to get fitness in. You can change the pace or time, indoor (w/treadmill) or outdoor), etc. I love walking!

RUSONU- Congratulations on your weight loss! It is so awesome when people around us start noticing our progress as well!

I have not been wanting to do any kind of workout, but I have been pushing myself to do it everyday anyway and I always feel so good about it afterwards.

I have started walking every day (minimum of 30 mins each day) and have done it for 2 weeks straight! I have noticed a big difference in my energy level. I have been able to do more around the house throughout the day! My happiness quotient is also way up! The endorphine rush that I get after I go for a walk really helps.

I have lost 17 pounds since I been here in SP, today a teacher told me if I'm been dieting because I have lost weigh, I wear a blouse that didn't fit me for so long and it fit perfect, of course I'm stronger and with more energy, less stressful, and enjoy more of my family.

I've been focusing on eating fresh/homemade foods, and have noticed that I have more energy and stay fuller longer at work. It's amazing how much better I feel when I am not drinking soda or eating candy.

I've been focusing first on more fruits and veggies. I've already noticed that I have a little more energy and I feel satisfied longer after a meal.

I drank 8 glasses of water for the first time ever, yesterday! I finally thought up a way to remind myself - I put 8 rubberbands around the bottom of my stainless steel waterbottle. Every time I refilled it, I rolled a rubberband up to the top. Then I couldn't wait to drink it all so I could roll up another rubberband lol - it's amazing how small subtle things can be so inspirational!

Though no-one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

It's time to be the me I want to be.

SHANNAONEIL- That is my favorite change- increased energy!! It is so wonderful knowing we have more energy to keep up with and enjoy our children!

HEALTHYMOMMY2B- My kids love the weights too! I went out and got little ones just for them :). WTG on bringing in the belt notch!! The last time I dropped sizes, it went really fast. One day I was size 18, the next 16, and within the next month I was down to 14. I was almost in a 12 a few months later when I fell of the wagon, but hoping to see that by Thanksgiving at the latest.

STLFAN4LIFE- We need that energy just to keep up with our kids. Now if we could manage to obtain all of the energy our kids have, we would never stop going :).

TRACEY_THOMAS- Again, I love feeling more energy! I hope you can get your iron intake to normal so you will feel even more of that energy.

CANDRECO- That is awesome! I used to drink a ton of soda years ago and now I have soda maybe a few times a year. Keep it up!

LADYBUG7157- That is awesome that your rings are fitting better now! I think I may need to get mine resized when I reach my goal- if not, sooner.

RUBY_TUESDAY21- Great friends are so observant and honest aren't they? Of course, mine noticed my bust size first thing after not seeing me in a while LOL. WTG on fitting into a skirt from 2 years ago!!

P-KAY92- It is absolutely wonderful when we can do things as a family when our kids are young because they will hopefully continue to enjoy those types of things as they get older. I see future tennis partners, a jogging partner and so many other possibilities in our kids' futures :).

Not only have I seen some changes on the scale since getting back into the swing of things, but also I am starting to love healthy foods again. Why I go back to eating things less healthy, I have no idea. I have been pushing myself to exercise a little each day and I love the feeling of accomplishment when I do!

STACEY96- Baggy pants? YAY!!! You should be seeing a new dress size soon :).

My kids love exercise with me also, they love to do anything that makes them feel big. We have been walking alot. When we get close to the end of our walk (on my cool down) I let them out of the stroller and let them out run of some of their energy. That why they to are getting something out of it also. Have a great day everyone. Keep up the great work.

HEALTHYMOMMY2B, I am right there with you on the rings! I was really having a hard time getting mine on and off for a long time. It's so nice to have them feeling loose again!

My subtle change has been to cut back to one soda every other day, instead of one or sometimes two every day. I've felt less bloated and the extra water I've been drinking has made me feel better as well.

I just started working out at the end of last week, but I can already see a change in my energy level! :) My big issue is that I am anemic and don't take my iron pills which really keeps me unmotivated and very tired. I am working on getting back on my iron and I know that will help me a ton! I am looking forward to fitting into the new clothes that I bought back at tax time this year!! :P

Haha. My boys love to exercise with me - esp. if it involves weights and they can grunt with each rep like muscle men :)

Just this morning I was able to bring in the belt another notch! That always feels good. I'm hoping only a few more lbs 'til I get to drop a pant size and be able to put my wedding ring back on without it cutting off all the circulation in my finger!

FRACTALMYTH- How cute! My kids love to get involved with a lot of my exercises as well especially strength training or simple cardio like boxing and jumping jacks. I think involving your kids can make exercise a more enjoyable experience for both of you.

I love the idea of focusing on the positive every day. I am in Australia, and up early, so I get to be first WOOHOO!

Here's a subtle change - my 13 month old has been watching me exercise for the past few weeks, and he has just learned to swing his arms to imitate my tummy twist!

Though no-one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

It's time to be the me I want to be.

This month, I thought it would be nice to share any subtle changes that you have noticed. You can share your weight loss success, change in dress sizes, strength, energy or anything else you have noticed or are noticing. This is also the place to share what you are thankful for in your health. I encourage you to think of something positive to post everyday to help you focus on those things and keep the positive thoughts at the front of your mind! Let's start noticing those changes and start sharing positive thoughts with everyone around us!
