Great idea, Kris. That hadn't occurred to me and I'll do it right now. Thank you.

Laurie,

I love my emotional eating category !! It really does help me keep the emotional eating under control. The notes help me pin point my exact feelings and keep me accountable. Great idea !! emoticon

That's a good idea, Laurie. When it is more 'in your face' you tend to take more notice of it.

I thought of the notes only because there's no way to enter them in the meal categories.

Excellent advice, Laurie! I added an Emotional Eating category on my nutrition tracker at your suggestion and it has been helpful. I haven't been adding notes, though - that's a great idea, as well!!

Eons ago I added the category and think that I suggested it in the team. As countless new people have come through since, I thought I'd post again.

The separate category helps me better distinguish between sane eating and out-of-control eating. Sometimes I use the Add Notes section to track at which times of day I've been out of control and with which foods.

The separate category and notations increase my awareness of myself, my circumstances and my behavior. More important, they give me more ammo against my stumbling blocks.

I'm not promising a solution for all time, but a new tool that may help.

P.S. I think that it's also helpful to scribble a brief bit under "Add Notes" when I overeat "good food" during a regular meal. That is, a few words about choices I'd prefer not to repeat.
