Ironically this week's chapter is called Recovering a Sense of Connection. This week I painstakingly made my way through Chapter 7 of the Artist's Way. My Artist friend that is going through this process with me (we meet in person every week) is just done I think. I'm not sure if it is a step that she's stuck on, has too much on her plate otherwise but the wind has definitely left her sails. So, even though she meets with me in a physical sense Our in-depth connection and interest in completing the Artist's Way is unfortunately waning.

The following are my personal take-aways from Chapter 7

Although I was not as devoted to working through everything with the same amount of enthusiasm as I have been in past chapters I was left with a lot of things after going through this chapter.

A part of this week's tasks asked several questions that provided me with the following examples of positive feedback about The Artists Way journey.

1. I believe that my morning pages are showing me that I can stick to my journey.

2. I believe that I am taking greater risks in thinking about doing bigger art. I am also working on art rather than just thinking about working on art.

3. One really important element that this process has shown me is my own personal struggle with fighting perfectionism.

My happiness depends on giving time to myself & I MUST not compromise in this.

***I am learning how to treat myself with more consideration.

*IS an
part of who I am and I need to honor this (it is a Gift).

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...
