1. How many days this week did you do your Morning Pages...How was the experience for you...
I managed 6 days this week.

2. A mini trip to the valley.

3. Did you experience any synchronicity this week...what was it...
Yes I did! I also found some of the writing in this chapter really spoke to me. Some of the excuses that rattle around my head are so invalid when someone else uses them.

The tasks were interesting. Finding a virtual mentor that I had never even thought of.

Obviously, I am still a bit angry with myself for some poor decisions made as a youngster of 18. I won't go into it but I need to get over it! DUH

I am orange when I'm not being green. Thanks Meyers-Briggs that explains me. LOL

The things I can't do are actually fun to contemplate but I can only do them in my mind or in my art.

This was an unparalleled tough week for my community. On the 7th of September the Beechie fire in Oregon began threatening the homes of people I know. I did write morning pages for 4 days in a row. In fact I wrote at least 3 pages everyday this week for everyday I wrote. Things felt very productive on this note.

2. Did you do your artist date this week? What did you do...How did it feel... My Artists Date was watching an Epic Love Story Between a Man and an Octopus. A documentary called My Octopus Teacher.

3. Did you experience any synchronicity this week...what was it...
Yes and Yes but nothing I am wanting to share.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...

This Chapter of the Artists Way hit the hardest for some reason (it took me two weeks to get through). These past two weeks I was forced to recognize how in so many ways I have sabotaged my creative journey.

For one I don't finish things and I'm 'still' doing this now! My anxiety about perfection blows my planned actions to be creative.

I have been made to realize that I need to make one daily small action instead of getting caught up in thinking about what could have been or what could be e.g. The BIG PICTURE of what could be. Instead, I need to do, focus on small changes right where I am.

Whew, am I ever grateful to move on to another chapter!
